Hello everybody. My name is Roland, and I own a 1998 Thundercat, 30.000 Km in mint condition. This is my second bike so my level of experience regarding motorcycles is low. Though there are 2 main problems. When in city traffic, the coolant temperature gauge goes up to 110 degrees Celsius, to the edge of the red zone, then the fan kicks in. The coolant was flushed and replaced, but still the issue remains unsolved. On the highway temperature stays at around 80-85 degrees. Is the temperature sensor that is wired to the temperature gauge faulty? Second problem. Tires. The ones on the bike are pretty old an I decided to change both of them. I got a good deal with Pire…

Hi guys I have a dt125lc3 (disc)and im having problems with the brake caliper piston.My Problem is that when i replaced the pads i decided to remove the piston, when i tried to refit it it wouldn,t go back in so i used a C clamp (i think this was a bad mistake)now the caliper piston is kind of halfway in and it won't come out or go in any more. What do you guys sugest, do you think i should try to find a new caliper. In the manual it describes it as if the piston should just like slide in but mine doesn't I feel a bit stupid that i have probobly broken something now but i am a teenager and still learning. Thanks

hi everyone i have an 05 reg fazer 1000, it was runnng great till the other day, when it started i noticed that it was leaking a lot of petrol from the breather pipes from the carbs, ive stripped the carbs,cleaned the jets with an air line ect, but when i put them back on its pouring out even worse.... can someone please help

I've been workin on getting my dt 175 running mint. I cleaned the carb, replaced the bowl drain gasket, petcock gasket, kreemed the tank reinstalled the oil injection lines that the p.o cut and blocked, changed the air filter, replaced the boot between filter and carb and got all new clamps, replaced the gaskets on top of the carb on either side of the thing that screws onto the carb. Before i did anything, i cleaned the carb out, bolted it on as is, and poured a little bit of gas in there. I didn't really premix it with any type of measuring, but i did add oil. hi everyone. just wondering, how/what do i need to mount a set of panniers on an XJ600? im assuming i need some sort of rack?, if so can i fabricate it/where can i buy one? -Steve

As title, plus the bike won't start. Bike: 2006 DT125R SM Well went to take it out this morning.. started and let it run while i ate my breakfast.. went out, stalled it.. then it wouldn't start again. Just keeps turning over, I turned the throttle a little.. nothing. I only noticed the transmission oil as I was checking all the vitals on the bike. Here's a photo incase I am wrong. But to my view there is no sign of oil in the window. I changed out the transmission oil last week, it was a grey colour... didn't look healthy. Hi, I need a couple of replacement front forks for my late '06 YBR125. The Yam dealer quoted me £250 EACH, which brought the tears to my eyes. I've found a couple of alternatives from Brooks Barn at £100 each, who say they will fit, but the are non-UK spec (they have reflectors on them). I just wondered if anyone had any experience of these; I can only assume they use non-official European imports, but I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks Martin

Hi all, my son has a DT50 MX 1986 model. after he has been driving for around 2 miles his engine starts to cut out. If he drops the revs for a couple of mins it runs ok again. Im stuck for answers, has anyone got ant ideas. PLEASE. Cheers Dave.

Hi everyone, So, earlier today I bought a GT80 for one of my kids for about 300. It looks great, has great compression, no major leaks. The kids were riding it around today at the farm and it was going great!!! I mean this thing really pulled for a 30 year old bike. Anyways, after about 30 mins the thing started blowing whitish smoke out the tail pipe and bogging down after we put it in gear and pulled away. In neutral it will rev up, but not in gear. Any ideas??? My kids are really hounding me on this one...they love the bike (we have two others of different years). Thank you in advance.

hi.i still cant seem to get my yamaha sr125 running 100%.it idles and runs ok its just if you give it quick throttle from idle it will die[bit of a bummer taking off at lights]i have checked and cleaned all i can think of.this is,carb and jets many times[carb cleaner,air gun].have fitted new idle/slow jet,air filter seated well no leaks,inlets to carb no leaks[sprayed around with carb cleaner no different]float height and fuel height ok. mixture screw to the best i can get it[one and a half turns out]peacock and fuel lines clear.valve clearance ok.new plug which looks ok[nice and brown]moved clip on needle up one,then down one notch.tried fresh fuel.checked coil and lead …

hi my yb100 seems to have no power in 4th gear and rattles when i get in top end of each gear bike only reaches 45mph max i can feel the bike rattling throughout the whole bike any help would be appreciated cheers webi

G'day chaps. I've just finished (well almost) a concourse rebuild on my RD350LC. Normally I don't have any issues with 2 stroke rebuild, they've all started and ran fine, this is a different story. When I first got it built up it ran fine above the pilot rev area, but only on choke. When you killed the choke the revs dropped and the engine eventually died. Suspecting the pilots were block I cleaned them out (can see through them fine now, all other jets blown through with compressed air), but now the engine won't start at all. Good spark present, checked the timing again, replaced the floats with a spare pair from a running bike. Any thoughts?

Hi Guys, anyone got a sidecar on a Yamaha big thumper? Any pics ,info or remarks would be great? I have a XT600 and want to put a Royal Enfield type sidecar on it to get around the bush in OZ. Again any help appreaciated. Mito
