Hello Yamaha owners, 4 months ago I bought a very nice condition Yamaha DT125 R, 2004 plate. When bought, on the ride home, and for the first 2 months it was supremely quick to what I had been used to on my 50cc moped. It went way off speedo (an indicated 85mph), and popped up ferociously in first and second gear when given a lot of throttle. It came fully de-restricted, with full DEP system (de-restricted). I believe the rear sprocket was also 1 tooth less than the standard, before I changed it to a larger sprocket (by two teeth, resulting in my current rear sprocket 1 tooth larger than standard dt size). I have a 4 month old yw 100cc 2 stroke BeeWee scooter. At 1500 km it fried the piston. The damage was down the side of the piston over the rings where the exhaust port lines up. A new piston was fitted by the dealer (who is great) and off I go again. Another 1500-1600 km and Im riding along yesterday at only about 75kmh and the engine just died as though I turned off the key. Its done it again. The dealer was baffled by what caused the first melt down. After fitting the second piston (bore not damaged) he slightly opened up the auto oiler to improve lube to system. Hi all im new to this forum as today i purchased a 2001 yamaha aerox yq100 with a problem. First thing is the previous owner (My cousin) said he was riding to work and it jus cut out and wont start now, apperently a car mechanic had a look at it n said it mite be the ignition coils, i was wondering if this was usual on these kinda bikes??? Second 1 is i have no electrics any ideas what that could be?? Any help will be much appriciated Thanks

I have a xj 900 -86 model and have 4-1 on this , but want 4-2. I find many downpipes and collectors for xj 900 s and diversion but very little for 900F. Does anyone know the difference between S/Diversion and F?

Hi All There have been a few posts on here about YBR Headlight bulbs and after finally deciphering my Haynes manual, I appear to have no dipped beam, therefore am riding on the Sidelight (ie not really using any light to speak of) and its scary. After some initial testing, I can confirm both filaments on the main bulb light up when I press the High beam button - I can confirm this because when I close my eyes I can clearly make out the double filaments burned onto my retinas!!! SO.... both filaments on the bulb work, but the dipped beam does not. Do I need a new bulb or some complicated wiring task that I am not really technical enough to cope with do yo uthink? …

Hello. I am wondering where a good source would be to find a basic, normal, carb re-build kit for the 93 Seca II XJ600 using the Mikuni BDS x4 Set-up... I have tried searching for the carb kit all over the net and nothing. My local dealer felt silly and empty handed when I asked for a kit, (as in, "Umm.. Really..?, I don't see anything for that... Ummm We might could order all the parts seperatly... You could make your own gaskets...") So, am I missing something here? According to the manual they are Mikuni BDS26 carbs. (The bike is a 93) Any thoughts would be great! Thanks in advance!

Hello Again... We have taken the LHS plastic chromed affect side panel off to look at what we thought would be the 'Air Injection System' contained therein.....well it was'nt there.....lol.We have tried to look on-line for onfo about this system but do not seem to be having much luck. When i purchased the 1992 XV535 it came with a Clymer Workshop Manual which states that if the bike is a 1992 bike it should have an Air Injection system fitted.....Does anyone have any suggestions, we have been thinking about trying to configure a 'K&N' Air filter solution alternative to the standard Air injection system if we cant find one.....please help. I just picked up a late 70's early 80's yam dt100. I cant get the kicker to turn the engine over. I took the crank cover off and everything looks good in there but it just wont turn the engine. can anyone give me an idea what to do next. Thanks

Following an embarrassing mishap my clocks covers are all smashed up. The clocks themselves are fine fortunately. I have replacement covers but to fit them it seems I need to remove the knob that resets the odo. Any idea how to accomplish this?

hey guys new here, i have a 78 xs400. the carb boot vacuum nipples are connected to each other with tubing that is pinched off. this seems incorrect, anyone care to help? wondering how they should be connected because my idle is rough and my accelaration is nill. Thanks

Hi. I have noticed a few engine niggles on my YBR - a slight loss of power and some strange engine noises. However, the other day, I ran out of fuel and so switched to the reserve tank, and the machine ran beautifully! Does anyone know if this indicates a particular problem with normal riding? Hi Im needing some help setting the 2 stroke pump on my RD350LC, Im using a pattern throttle cable which to me seems to short and is causing the pump to exceed the maximum setting at full revs acording to the manual, and therefore even at tickover the pump is sitting nearly where it should be at full throttle.This is causing to much oil in the engine. I have heard that because i am using a pattern cable the route of the cable or the spring within the pump needs to be altered within the pump housing. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

right my yb100 seems to pull nicely in 1st and 2nd and 3rd in 3rd gear it tops out at 40-45 if i change into 4th it will either stay at the same speed or drop speed i took it to a bike shop and they said it does not need a rebuild so i was just wondering if anyone on here could help also when i am riding it it feels like it hesitates only for like half a second sometimes like you let off the throttle and put it back on quick.

Hi, ive got a dt50 and have just got a K&N style filter from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370192159048&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Im just wondering wether i should oil it up? I found some K&N filter oil in the back of the garage but it doesnt say what you do so can anybody tell me? its the red stuff btw. thanks in advance, Ryan
