Hi All Well as stated, i just bought a track bike in the form of an FZR600, i got it cheap and in need of some TLC, im just looking for some help on determining what year it is, i also had a quick look this eve for the oil drain plug and filter, couldnt see it anywhere? any help me? pic is below, anyone able to tell me what year it is?

This question is to those out there that own or have access to an 08 FZ1 that they may be able to take dimensions from it for me.... I am wanting to add a more upright position to my TRX850. It already has the r1 forks, clipons, wheel, etc at the moment, but I was thinking of adding a set of flat bars. Now I already have a "graves" top clamp and am not keen on drilling that one out to fit risers, but was wondering if a top clamp off a 2008 FZ1 (USD fork model) would fit. To do this I need to know the dimension on the FZ1 top yoke - diameter of the holes where the forks get bolted in, and also the distance between the two forks (this latter question is to determine whet…

I bought this bike last in april for my sixteenth birthday. 2004 model Surely people have had problems before. can anybody help??? 1 year old, 600 miles, apparently still restricted. The shop i bought it from also said they would derestrict it for me so i left it with them. New jets and an already de-restricted exhaust later, 30mph No charge though of course!!

Hi there i have a 96 thundercat and i have tried bleeding the brakes through but it looks like there might have been a second nipple on the front caliper. I was wondering if anyone knows if there would be on the standard calpier??? thank you

I'm a recent convert to bikes and have just bought a 2001 YZF 600 Thundercat. It runs well and the idle speed is at 1200-1300rpm as it should be, but the temp is always around 70'C. I would expect the running temp to be around 85'C, am I correct assuming this? The temp will raise to 100'C in traffic and the fan will then kick in, but when I'm generally riding the temp is always low. This is always the case, even when thrashing the engine. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm fairly hands on but don't want to go to the hassle of adjusting all the carbs, so any info or tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Looking for a little bit of advice....my ongoing project (93' XV535) was put on hold for a few months what with Xmas and my husbands arthritis (any excuse not to work on 'MY' bikes)...lol....anyway we purchased a used fuel pump from e-bay which my hubby has now fitted however when the ignition is switched on the pump makes what i can only describe as a 'Rattle Type Noise' this last for approx 5 secs then goes silent...........can anyone advise is this normal for this type of bike Thanks calamity x

The speedo on my XT125x (2007) has stopped working, it will flash between saying enduro and motard even when the ignition is off. When I try to select one of the two options it simply flashes the next screen and returns to saying enduro and motard. Has anyone else had this problem? Sadly I'm no longer under warranty and was quoted £160 for a new speedo from a Yamaha dealer so if the problem is the actual speedo I'd like to be certain before I go and spend the money. Everyone says the XT125 isn't restricted. I have a 2005 XT125 R and when I came to cleaning the air filter yesterday I found a big rubber cover over the top of the air filter with 2 small holes either side to let air through. Now tell me that isn't a restriction surely? I mean if I removed it, air will still be filtered - Just more of it... But then again that would mean a lean A:F so I'd have to rejet... Thoughts?

been having some trouble with my aerox100 indicator switch when i push the button to the right the indicator flashes but if i push the buttom to the left nothing happens the indicator light dont come on the dials nor do the indocators flash,does anyone know what might be wrong?could it jsut need takin apart and adjusting inside?

Hi people! I am new to the RD forum, hopefully someone can advise on my specific problem! I am rebuilding the clutch on my RD125LC 1988, the clutch has 6 friction plates and 5 plain plates. The plain plates all have a machined off area which I understand to reduce clutch noise. My question is, how is it possible to arrange these 5 plain plates evenly around the circumference of the clutch as per Haynes manual? There are 23 'Splines' around the clutch drum, and no matter how you space them it is obviously not possible to make the clutch symmetrical. My concern is obviously vibration due to the clutch being imbalanced. I have all the correct parts, drawings numbers e…

Hi all I am currently restoring a 1985 SR125 and was wondering if it is possible to use the fork stations and internals from a 2001 set of forks as the top ens where they go in to the yokes are different but according to the bible that is haynes it just tells me how to take them off so I am thinking its ok to strip the newer ones and then use the internals and the tops on my bike. Can anyone help or ha anyone had this problem with the YBR 125? The lights have started to gou out without warning and then come back on again after a short time. im rebuilding a 1990 dtr 125 l to go back on the road when it came to me the ignition wos gone i could put a new one back on but i just wont to bypass it but not mess any wireing up for the lights and indecators ive looked at the wireing loom diagram but dont know wich one gose to my bick ther are 2 for my year so it says in the haynes book page 142 we have dt 3db1 model and page 143 we have dt 3rn1 3rn2 and 3rn4 models how can i find wich is mine so i dont mess up thankyou adrian p.s sorry about spelling not my stong point
