Hi hope you can help with my problem. My Neos 50cc YN50 has started to bog down and go around 10-20mph when it use to top 40. I went out one day then on the way back bog down. I thought this may be rollers so changed the variator and snapped the crankshaft so total engine rebuild but problem is still there. So new engine, crankshaft, piston, head, variator, clutch, springs all good as is the belt. Engine pressure 170psi. Carbs cleaned and also swapped to be sure. Fuel supply good, no air leaks as best I can tell, also checked the fuel cap breather. Plug is good also swapped that still Good. Hi guys having issues with my ybr custom fuel injected brought it has a none runner got it running yesterday now this problem as occured it when the bike is running it will cut out randomly when the engine is hot or cold it wont rev past 4k revs at all it will just sit there in any throttle position miss firing and back firing and surging till i lay off the throttle then goes back to idle , no smoke or noises from the engine , no fault codes on the dash , i have fully serviced the engine fresh oil , plug (irridium ) and air filter changed the throttle body , spark plug , spark plug cap ,fuel injector , rewired the ignition , cleaned all the pug connectors and sensors , f…

Hi all first time user so be gentle with me!. I've just put some aftermarket stainless downpipes on my Thundercat they went on well but when I started it it was blowing badly from the manifold seemingly from every port. I've tightened the nuts as much as I dare but it's still blowing. I didn't use new gaskets as the guy said there was no need and the flanges on the new exhaust are much thinner than the original. I'm at a loss to know why it's blowing so bad any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I really need to know if this permanent head gasket and block repair thing works on a head gasket I just get the bike and I don't have the $$$$ to do a head gasket on my 1996 Yamaha yzf600r so if you know any thing about this stuff good or bad let me know please and if anyone that lives in the long beach Wilmington san pedro can help me with this bike I know how to do somethings on the bikes but not this its a bigger job then I have do I cant really give $$$$ for this but I would be thankful I JUST WANT TO RIDE

Hello, My son owns a 2013 YBR and whilst riding the tachometer will give a fault code of 3000 revs, occasionally indicating zero revs, before returning to show the engine revs. It's intermittent and I can't find any tachometer fault codes on the web, only the ECU light flash codes. Can anyone help? Rgds, Neil

Gents, Did a full service myself yesterday : pads/oil/filters-air-oil/brake fluids. Was prepared for a 'stiff' sump plug but to my surprise it was no effort at all. When I pulled the strands of PTFE tape off the plug + the absence of a copper washer alarm bells should have started ringing. (thanks PO or bike shop ) When replacing the plug I had my answer. A quick Google proved that this is a bit of a design fault on the FJ. Many owners have extensive experience with the issue. To little thread in the pan or to high torque settings for the SS plug in the manual. Got 3 options : a)drill & tap one size bigger, b)helicoil. c) glue the damn th…

Hi guys. Yamaha sr125 throttle cable snapped. Bought new one from wemoto but seemed to be an inch short. When assembled It was if i had throttle open a quarter turn. Had it in a garage for another issue and asked mechanic to fit me another. When i got it back. Same issue. He gave me back the old one so i know it was changed. Both of us cant have got it wrong. I have my CT2 running well, except when the headlight is turned on. The light works fine but the engine runs rough like the ignition is being grounded out. I checked the wire from the ignition switch that grounds out the coil when you turn it off, and it was open. It has a new lighting coil. When it roughs bad and I turn the headlight off it starts to run fine.

Hi All, Finally got the box of bits project looking like a DT50MX with my boy - sourced a NOS loom on ebay so ghould be roughly ok? but no spark - No neutral light and wire has snapped off under casing so got to reconnect that, but does the neutral light blowing stop it sparking? It is a 1990 points model - is the points gap crucial to even get a spark? Was cock a hoop when got a beep from the horn and front indicators flashed so done something right It looks a bit like this but headlight on now.

my oil chain is very slack on my virago xv 1100 in the bike manuel it shows a tensioner on the side of the chain guard but on my bike nothing do i get a new chain or is this the norm

My choke seems to come fitted with a spring. When I pull it out it springs back in. Meaning if I want to start bike from cold I'm holding choke out manually. Is this normal or has someone done this as an extra? Its a bit of a pain in the arse tbh.

Hey guys, I'm trying to wire an DT125LC cdi into a DT125R bike. Just for testing the cdi in a different bike for debugging, ypvs and so will not be working. Anyway that's not what this topic is about. I keep seeing strange discrepancies in the wiring diagrams. I'm pretty good with electronics, but I really can't figure this one out. It's not really key that I solve this but I'm intrigued and can't really let it go now haha :p. So I thoughed I asked you guys, as we here all see the fun in this sort of technical riddles .
