Hi everyone, new to the forum. Just bought my second TW125 but unfortunately this one has issues. Was actually fine when I picked it up, started first time no problem. After I rode it for around 30 miles it suddenly cut out. I could rev the throttle but it was like it skipped out of gear or something. Anyhow, managed to get it started again after a few goes but sadly a few miles later it cut out again. I was thinking, ever since I had turned the lights on it seemed to be when it cut out and when I left it beside the road with the lights on for say 30 mins(waiting for tow truck) the lights got dimmer then indicators started flashing quickly. I turned the ignition off and w…

I own an XT600e T registration. I am looking to change the sprocket size, just wondered what other riders have done with regard to bigger on back or front and what difference it has made to the bike. Also any ideas on what prices I would be looking at for a new chain and sprocket.

I have a yamaha MX 175 that i have been working on. I saved this bike from rotting in the garage about a week ago. I have pulled the fuel tank and cleaned the inside completely out. I have completly rebuilt the carburator. I check the plug and i am getting spark at the plug. i also checked the fuel line going to the carburator and i am getting fuel. I have tried to start the bike and i have gotten it to start twice in about a 5 hour period and each time i got it started the bike would run for roughly 15 to 30 seconds and die. Any ideas to help me out?

Hello all, My xs400 was starting up and running fine until recently when the starter motor began to make a loud grinding noise inside the crankcase anytime i depressed the starter button. It would silence a bit if I attempted to start the bike without choking it, but then it began grinding when i did this as well. Feeling adventurous I detached the starter motor wire from it's terminal on the solenoid and removed the starter motor from my bike. It appeared that the sprocket had come off of the motor's armature and fallen into the crankcase. I opened up the case, fished out the sprocket and put everything back together, reattaching the chain to the sprocket, closing th…

Hi I recently bought a yamaha TZR50 2011 model. And i'm having trouble getting the power from the engine, that i would like to have. I did two modifications to it,the restrictors in the exhaust have been taken out, and it was a necessary step since the bike drove 5 KM/T on a very, and i mean very small hill, even in first gear. And the main jet has been replaced with a bigger size. I know it is only a 50cc engine, but i know you can squeeze some max speed out of it. I do get in high revs, but even so there isn't much speed in it. I have tried pushing it a bit to see what max speed i get, but never into the red field though. At 8,000 revs the speed is around…

hi!! just bought a dtr125 2003. there's no pattern just does it as and when it likes, some times when pulling away or when your in 3rd gear reaching 8rpm! always random, the previous owner did say it hasn't been serviced for a while. so tomorrow i'll give her a full serivce! it also has a aftermarket exhuast on it, so would i need to check that it's jetting ok? but surely the previous owner would of sorted this as it's been owned by the guy from new! and by the looks of the exhuast it's been on there a few years! thanks josh

I was scooting along today about 7 miles north of Tombstone, AZ and all of a sudden, the bike quit running. I was fortunate to have a wide "turn off." The engine would turn over but it would not start. Called AAA to tow me to the nearest Yam. dealer. and it will be Monday before they can look at it. Just got back from a 5600 mile trip up the west coast, over to the Dakotas and back down to AZ. The bike has run great since I purchased it new in 07. I have 43,000 miles on it. This is the first time it has let me set. Any thoughts of possibilities would be appreciated! Thanks.
