    Does anyone know where the best place would be to get a new rear brake disc and pads for a Yamaha fazer 600 S2? basically my friction material has broken off the metal pad and ground through my disc as i was driving along, i have messed the disc up now as didnt realise it went as was doing 300 motorway miles when it went. now worried to drive it in case it friction welds its self together as i drive my bike all over the uk all year around many thanks Chris

    Hi Guys, The lights on my DT 125 R are pants! i've had a search around this site and Google and have not found a definitive answer. I have read the sticky about 125 lights being rubbish but the lights suggested in that thread dont seem to be 'made' for the bike. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? Thanks in advance. st0f

    In my quest to build up the best possible lightweight adventure bike, a kick starter would have obvious advantages. The crankcase on my DT230 has a blanking plug where the kick starter would go, so it's keeping me awake at night wondering if a kick starter can actually be fitted. Local Yammie shop says there is no parts listing for it. Fair enough, maybe it was never sold with one. But the DT200 and DT230 are rumoured to have the same bottom end and gearbox, and I believe the DT200 is a kicker. However, local Yammie dealer tells me the gasket on the brake side of the crankcase is a different part number for the two bikes, and that doesn't sound encouraging. I'd look…

    Hi guys, haven't posted in a while. I have a dt125lc which i use offroad where I live, My problem started recently when i tried to start the bike up after lying in the shed for about a month. It was difficult to start then as it warmed up it started to rev higher and the only way i found to bring it back down was pulling the chocke out; Therefore I suspect it's running lean? From what i'v read it sounds like an air leak somewhere but how do i check for an air leak? My suspicion is that itcould be the crank seal. How do I check for a worn crankshaft seals? Thanks once again

    Hey guys, im not too sure if this has already been mentioned and/or resolved, i did search YBR125 Custom posts beforehand and didnt find anything so unless its hidden i guess not Anyway... I've recently been having a bit of a problem with either my clutch or gearbox (i know next to nothing about the technical side of bikes unfortunately so i cant pinpoint where it is). When i squeeze the clutch, change gear or accelerate i get a rattling sound, i cant think of what to compare the sound to but it sounds like a loose thin piece of metal knocking into whatever surrounds it, it only happens briefly on acceleration, giving the impression that its locked into place…

  7. I have just bought my first bike a Yamaha Aerox 100 I had purchased it for £200 as the bike has no mot or tax and has been stored in a shed for over a year. The bikes electric starter, indicators, brake light and everything else I can thing of do not operate apart from the headlight and this only operates when the bike is on (kick started) and it gets brighter as I rev it. the bike was stored without this problem and it has developed the problem while in storage. Any ideas? I have pretty much worked overnight to see what the issue is but to no avail. Thankyou very much!

Hi Guys and Girls, Just a question of curiosity really, and its my first post, I have had a 2006 YBR125 for the last 18 months and i have put 16,000 of its 20,000 miles on it, it has a full service history (just to keep the book up to date really) and i always service the bike myself aswell in between actual services, just for peace of mind and to keep it running as good as the day i borght it, all parts needed are replaced as soon as they need to be and i don't put spending the money on it off when it needs to be spent, all in all it is a very well looked after bike, however i ride it in all weathers including last winter, which as many of you remember in t…

Hi everyone, i have a ybr125 and quite frankly the headlight is Sh!t, i have upgraded the bulb to a 40/45W halogen whitch made a dramatic differance from the standarrd bulb however for night time B roads its still a little scary. now im not an idiot trying to street fighter a 125 or anything, however.... i have seen the dominator headlights and standard they take 60/65W bulbs added to that obviously there are two of them next to each other.... i also have a 55w bulb but that is blue... so quite hard to make out what different objects are at night when everything is blue, and i cant seem to find any brighter bulbs to fit the standard headlight... …

    May have outsmarted myself here. Just finished a resto on another 74 DT360A. Sold it on ebay last week ($3200) Had it running like new but noticed a slight leak around the shift shaft and decided to replace the seal. After replacing the seal, I had trouble getting the circlip in the slot - no clearance - had to pull on the shaft to expose the slot? When re-installing the shift lever, I had to tap on it to get it on the shaft. When i started it for a test ride, the shifter would not engage. I pulled the shaft out about 1/2" and was able to shift into first, but it won't upshift into any other gear. It was getting dark, so I rolled it in for the night. Any thoughts? Did I…

  13. i need to remove the cup type part that the bearing fits in due to changing forks this part Uploaded with ImageShack.us i removed the lower on no problems but theres not much of a lip on this the punch just slides over it is there an easier way

    I have a 1997 trx850. I changed the gasket on the clutch cover, put it all back together and i now have no clutch. Could i have damaged the spindal coming out of the centre of the clutch that messes back into the housing.

    Iv recently bought a Yamaha DT R 125 1997 and now that im insured iv been out on it a few times, It starts fine and can ride it about good but when stopped at lights or a junction i have to keep revving it which gets pretty anoing in slow moving traffic or when i have to stop but rev at the same time . The problem is that when the revs drop down to 3000rpm that will be the point that you have to rev the bike or it will cut out and revving it when it gets down to 3000rpm it will make a "blub blub" kinda noise as if there is to much air getting in the engine and same with lowwer revs so it cannot idle at when stopped otherwise it will cut out .     Yamaha rd250 1974. I'm getting a weak spark from one plug but not the other. Weak enough not to fire that cylinder. If i switch the coils around, the strong spark switche's to the oppisite side. I replaced the points, condenser, coils and new battery. Just cant seem to figure this one out? Could this be a problem with the rectifier and or voltage regulator?

    hi i been having problems starting my aerox i did get it going after a engine rebuild new crank seals bearings piston gaskets and head its also had a new coil on it and petrol tap i replayed my petrol and oil with fresh and a new spark plug i cleaned the carb and i also put on a inline petrol filter i cant get it going there is a bright blue spark lots of compression please can someone help me try to resolve what's the matter with my bike thanks kind regauds daniel
