    Hi All, Ok, looking for some advice from the guys or gals in the know. At the moment my Aerox is as I brought it. It will do 50mph on the flat straight, 55mph down a big enough hill but it struggles doing 30mph on hills. I was told that a performance exhaust will improve the 0-50 but I am unsure if it will give anymore. It will do 0-30 failry quick but takes some to build up to 50mph. So am I wasting my money on a performance exhuast? Thanks for any feedback

    Could anyone tell me the name ov the "Itzzy-bitzzy-teeney-weeney- little-rubber-grommet-thingy" that the wires from the stator/generator go through as they emerge from the engine casing........ Im lookin for a replacement as the one the one on Georges has seen better days (about 20 years ago!!!) thanx all. Seana X X

    hi my bike starts fine i let it warm up a few minutes and get it up to temp and then i set off i can go for about a mile before the engine completely cut out i kick start the bike again and it always starts so i dont think its a fuel problem then when i get another 100 yards it does it again then it just keeps doing it every hundred yards it just completely cuts out, it does idle fine though anyone have any ideas what this could be?

    Hello all, just wondering if anyone has any good methods on how to remove rust from my exhaust, the previous owner seems to have ignored it and its got quite bad, not to the point its falling apart bit its not good, Its a Full arrow exhaust any help is a massive help, Thanks for your time, Keiran

    I just had my first ever motorbike crash. A low speed one, coming up to a roundabout and still had hold of the front brake as I went over a bit of frost. Picked the bike up and got it home, gear lever bent and rear indicator dangling. I rebent the gear lever back in place and screwed the indicator back on. Luckily it had just come off and not broke. But as I was riding it home, I noticed the handlebars were slightly off centre. When I got in I had a better look, and I can't tell if its the forks that are slightly twisted or if the bars bent. Its not noticeable from any angle other than when you look from above and the headlight is pointing slightly to the left of the whee…

    Hello all, I was just wondering if it was possible to put DT 125 X wheels onto my new bike, i have asked else where and have had mixed information from people, some say i will need to buy the DT 125 forks or else the brakes wont fit the disk, so say they will fit perfect no problems, so if anyone could help its greatly appreciated, ALSO how is my model restricted? i don't think it is restricted but i am just curious - i'm a newbie to the ypvs so any info on that is a great help also, Thanks in advance, - Keiran

    Hi all, its somewhat nice to be posting sumat about one ov my bikes for a change, so here goes........... Its a lovely shiney 1990 XV 535 with Hardly-Davidson type slash cut pipes... Nice. It has a standard factory air filter unit fitted. When i fitted the pipes, i upjetted the both Main-Jets from (if memory serves) 137.5's upto 147.5's. Thing is, when out and about annoying the neighbours, the pipes pop and bang on over-run, the engine gets a wee bit surface-ov-the-sun-like and the pipes have "Blued" at the top near the Cylinders. Should i go up another 10 or 20 on the Main Jets, reduce the Air-Jet size or try to raise the carb needle/ adjust the air screw…

    Got a 2003 FZS1000 with about 55k on the clock and runs like a charm. However, like it's elderley owner, it has developed a habit of clearing the trip and clock memory all on it's own accord. The odometer is OK but it has happened about three times in the last 4 months - not a big problem, just a bit annoying. Seems to happen at start-up. Any suggestions? We would be most appreciative here in the colonies.

    Hi i have a yamaha dt 125 lc 1982, The engine has just been totally rebuilt, i got it back yesterday and put it in today but its over heating, the needle just sits by the h red mark but it does go on the red same times but the engine doesnt feel that hot when i undo the radiator cap, i can see the water pump flowing the water through the top of the rad so it cant be that The engine has a 180cc big bore kit on it but all the sensors are all the same from a 125 While the engine was gone i had another engine and that was doing the same thing, iv changed the rad and it stil does it..! I cant work it out any help will be great Thanks

    I have got a Yamaha xj600 s diversion (1994) im trying to find out the vin number so I can apply for the logbook. It says in my user manual the vin number is located on the head stock which i have found but the only trouble is that its a 14 digit number and not a 17 digit number. has any one else had the same kind of issues. any help will be appreciated

  17. Hej da all. I'm currently putting lights etc onto a naked DT175MX for George whos a forum lurker here... I have a spanking new loom to play with.... BUT..... The Loom-Lug positioned on the frame top tube indicates to me that the wires run on the left ov the frame, under the tank, to the seat rails but im unsure as to whether it continues on the left, running alongside the exhaust (this seems wrong to me) or whether it crosses over the monoshock onto the right hand side, and then runs along under the seat to the Battery, Stoplight etc. Or whether it comes out from under the tank, over the riders shoulder, down the back etc.........\o/ which one, oh wise o…

  18. Hello.. I am currently sourcing parts to renovate an '86 / C DT125LC Mk2. The bike was bought in 'field bike' condition, and its my intention to return it to road use, once restored. As per usual, the 2 stroke tank has been removed, and is no longer present. I have a parts manual for a DT125LC II, and a part number, and have spoken with the local dealer, who can source me a tank from Japan, however I need to buy all the associated, clips, hoses, sensors etc to go with the tank, which will make it a costly exercise if I have to buy new. I have just seen a 2nd hand tank from a DT125LC Mk1, which looks amazingly similar. Does anyone have a parts manual, or know w…

    hi im looking for some help with my lanza which is been a fantastic bike for me but i have a problem the piston and rings need replacing and my local yamaha dealer cant get the parts due to the piston etc being discontinued by yamaha if any one has some info on where i can get the part to keep it going or has any ideas on a course of action i would really appreciate it as im also giving it a refurb and would be a real shame for all this work to be for nothing .     Hi my engine management before the bike is turned over flashes 4 slow times and 2 fast times. Then when the bike is turned over and running it stops on permanent. The bike stills runs fine with with no problems. i was just wondering if anyone could help me with what the problem is. Thanks. PS the day before this light came on my speedo stopped working could that have anything to do with it as ive been told by other people that it hasnt.
