So i recently brought a Yamaha dt50 Mx. It was in a bit of a state so i took everything apart and resprayed everything and had to get the swing arm welded. After putting it back together i have found that the bike has no spark. The bike is the cdi version which has no points. I have checked all the wiring and everything is in its correct place. I have also brought a new ignition coil and spark plug and still nothing. Has anyone had any similar problems or any info that may be able to help me? Thanks

Hi, Brand new to this motorbike stuff so really need some help! haha! I've just bought a YBR Fazer and it turns out to be an Indian import. There is some damage to the left side including, rear fairing, switchgear and chokecable. I've been looking around and am finding it next to impossible to find a lefthand switch gear for a carb YBR, they all appear to be the carb model. I've found lots of Fazer 600 switchgears with the choke cable and my question is, would I be able to use this model of switchgear or would it have to be a specific YBR model? thanks guys!

Can anyone help with a really annoying problem on my project XJ 600? I have done my best to refurbish it after 10 years storage, including a full carburetor cleanup and replacement float valves. I have stripped, reburbished and tested the fuel tap (petcock) and all seems fine. She has a new battery and ignition seems fine. She starts well and warms up gradually, even after several days standing. But: She does not like to run without full choke. Running off choke is possible with a squirt of cold start fluid, but remains very sensitive to throttle. When hot or cold, she won't respond properly to the throttle. Response is sluggish and engine tends to rev too hi…

Hiya there fellas and sheilas, Got a part off me draggy 125, because its chrome was coming off, wanted to replace, but its name alludes me. It sits in dead center of the clutch case I think, and it has a rubber O-Ring in the outer groove. Sorry for bad quality, my brother seems to have knackered the cameras settings. If anyone knows where its sold online or whats its name is then I would greately appreciate the info. Pics below, thanks. Once again thanks.

I have one running 1985 FZ750. one 1986 FZ that should run and one partial '85 for parts. This one will bump start, starter sprag clutch is fried(catches then spins), has no ignition switch, fuel cap broken ect... The black one is an '86, the '85 has a complete engine and cosmetics in various states of wear. Pretty rough... I have an FZ 1000 fork, swingarm and wheels that I'm going to use. I bought this wrecked '86 when I lived in Napa, CA and repaired it in the late '80's. I think this is an '87 or '88 FZ 1000 swingarm. Anyone know for sure? I'm trying to fit up FZ 1000 wheels to my '85 FZ 750. The 1000 wheel fits and has c…

I have issues with my current reg/rec and was wondering (as ive never done anything bike related before), is it something I can fix myself or is it a matter of it just being plain knackered and needing swapping straight out for a new one? I dont want it to cost alot as its only a bike i intend on keeping until I pass the full test

I'm picking up a nice shiny new lathe on Thursday morning, it can machine up to 200mm diameter and 350mm long. If anyone needs any one off parts making for a project, I shall be willing to make them for a very small fee (cost of material, plus delivery, plus just a couple of quid to help pay for this lathe). I also will be getting a mill soon and have grinders, welders and drills so the skies the limit.

hi folks Whilst the frame had been powder coated for some reason the swinging arm was just painted and now its all coming off. I decided then to reburbish my Dt's swinging arm so i've removed it for a proper clean and respray. However, now its detached i think i've discovered why it was never powder coated along with the frame.....the monoshock appears to be well and truly joined at the hip...so to speak! it won't budge. The haynes shows the joining pin as a shaft which should just drift out. I've soaked the pivot in Plus Gas overnight and tried gentle tapping, and I've tried a bit of heat from the 'ol blow lamp and i've tried a bit of brute.…
