Hi All, I need to replace the forks on a 2001 TDM 850 or get them straightened (not sure I really want to go down this route, as I'm not sure if they will be weakened). Does anyone know of any other forks that will fit. I believe they are 43mm. Thanks for any info.

Hi all, My SR125 hasn't been used the last two weeks due to the bad weather so yesterday I went to give it a run out only it wouldn't start. When I go to start it I get a buzzing / clicking sound coming from the battery area. I've checked all connections to the battery and all wires around the battery / starter motor seem to be secure. Could it be the battery is too low to get the starter motor turning over? Or is it an issue with the starter motor itself? Any help gratefully received

Hi folks, Following a blown over bike (appartently a centre stand and the most sheltered place in the drive isn't good enough [ok the bike cover may have contributed]!) necesitating the second clutch lever replacement ... first being a slightly bent one when I got bike :-) I am fitting a couple of bar ends. Following a complete failure to source specific YBR ones I picked up Halfords generic fit ones of expanding rubber type but they don't have any instructions. The actual 'fitting' is pretty obvious but looking for advice from anyone who has actually done this. Basically my query is, do I simply cut out the rubber at the end of the grips and insert? Obviously th…

Hi all, i wondered if anyone can help with this, i am trying to set the float heights on my 1984 xj 600 my haynes manual says 16.5 to 18.5 mm but when you try that measurement the float is almost touching the carb, so i set thm at 22mm as a guess which resulted in flooding of two carbs.I am trying to set them because the carbs have been messed with by various others and were all over the place, the bike was running great up to 5000 rpm then struggleing after that as if fuel starvation.

Hi I have just swapped the engine in my YX600 Radian (1984) for a 3KM marked XJ600 unit (1989) since the stator had gone, and It had a habit of jumping out of 2nd gear. The previous owner had also dropped it and broken the left side casing, and patched it up with epoxy. The exchange has not been without its challenges: Snapped exhaust studs on the replacement - so swapped the heads over, at least this then allowed the retention of the YX's smaller carbs. Everything is bolted back up and re-connected but the wiring is different. Have studied circuit diagrams for hours. I'm now at the stage where 3KM engines 3 wire generator is matched to 5 wire YX loom achieved…

Right. I've got a spare (lightened) flywheel that I want to stick on my '01 DT and the puller I've got (350 YPVS) doesn't fit . I (stupidly) assumed that it would, being another Yam and all, but no. Does anyone know of a suitable puller (M&P?) that'll work on my DT? Or a cunning trick that'll work (I dunno, something involving levers and pulleys, I'd imagine). Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and stump up for a genuine Yamahahahahaha part? Cheers, Mick.

Hi, well basically I have managed to lose my only key to my bike, its a long and stupid story so I'll spare the details but yes, I do feel stupid. I've googled around for my options and phoned up the local Yamaha Dealership and a local mechanic. From my googling it was my understanding that an official dealership is able to cut new keys for a bike by looking up the Specs of the key using the VIN number, but when I called them they were very vague and instead quoted me 80 quid for a new lock set and 90 quid to come and install it. Naturally these prices are obscene and I googled the lock set instead which can be bought for 45 quid online and I phoned a local motorbike gar…
