Hi there, I own a TRX 850 and am interested in fitting some blue spot front calipers. Is it just a matter of installing callipers or do you need to change master cylinder as well. I believe calipers off an R1 or R6 1999 to 2002 are able to bolt straight on. I"m hoping someone may be able to help. Regards Steve.

my 2000 model r6 has an issue with the speedo/clocks,there is nothing at all.only the tacho works and its got me thinking that it could be a loose wire or a problem with the clocks themselves, which i'm guessing will be a replacement unit and thats it. any ideas?

Hi Can any one help as this is all new to me. I have a R1 2001 5JJ which is my 1st bike with only 8000 miles on and is mint an rides perfect. It has a rattle or cracking noise. this only happens as the revs drop when reved stationary. dont notice it when you go along just stationary. dosnt seem as bad when warm. Dosnt do it when you rev it gently and let the revs die slowly just when you give it a good rev and throttle snaps shut again. Sounds like its coming from poss the gear box area or exhaust. I was wondering weather it was the clutch or exup valve or if this is normal???? Any advice appreciated.

Hi all, I hope someone could help me, i put some fuel in from a superstore garage (Tesco) it was supposed to be suitable for all petrol engines (it was super unleaded BP stuff). The results were fantastic..... From standing very poor power a push off with a foot helped, once on the move up to quarter turn on the throttle gave me some power anything over that the engine would loose power and strain. So i drained the tank, and flushed the carb through with normal unleaded and refilled the tank with normal unleaded did an oil change (oil was thick black no metal filings). This resulted with power to pull away but still power loss when over half throttle turn. It …

Hi there, I"ve just joined as a new member. I hope someone can help me. I own a TRX 850 and interested in fitting some Blue Spot callipers. Is it just a matter of bolting the callipers on or do you need to replace brake lines and master cylinder. I believe the callipers off an R6 1999 to 2002 model is the way to go. Regards Steve.

Hi all, I am changing my chain and sprockets on a 2002 SR125. I have fitted the rear sprocket to the wheel but I'm not sure how the retaining plate for the front sprocket fits and the haynes manual only indicates how to take it off and not fit it!!! Should the plate be flush with the sprocket? this can be done but the holes for the screws will not align. The only way i can get it to fit is to allow a gap of about 2mm between the plate and the sprocket....perhaps it is supposed to be like this but not sure. Could anyone advise as its holding me up big time!! I will try to attach photo. Thanks, Eugene.http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j326/usaaf14/SR1…

Hows everyone doing this evening? Noticed that my chain was a little slack the other day so decided to tighten slightly (very fractional amount) but after doing the rear brake cable locking nut back up ive noticed that the when applying the rear brake there is a sqeaking noise which seems to be coming from near the rear wheel. Is it that the rear wheel is not aligned perfectly or could it be that ive over done or under done the tightening on the rear brake cable nut? Sorry if this sounds like a newb question but, well, i am very much a newb! Thanks in advance

Hi I have a 1998 XVS650 Dragstar that has a Datatool Alarm/Immobiliser fitted and I have found that if I don't use the bike for about 2 weeks the battery is discharged enough so that the bike wont start. I have been using the charger in this link as it has a motorcycle setting http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7404881/c_1/1|category_root|Garden+and+DIY|14418702/c_2/2|14418702|Car+equipment+and+accessories|14418747/c_3/3|cat_14418747|Car+battery+chargers|14418754.htm I put the bike on charge last night and it said it was fully charged in about 2 hours, went to start it this morning and it turned over once then flat battery. The battery must be a…

Hey guys I'm considering a Tail swap on my 1987 Yamaha FZR 1000. I bought the Tail plastics and rider seat (Apparently from a 2007/2008 bike) ridiculously cheap on ebay and I was wondering the best way to go about a tail swap. I've read heaps of forums on this but I'm undecided whether i should either: 1:Cut and modify the existing sub frame 2:Buy a R1 sub frame and mount that. If so, I know they changed the sub frames in 09 but are all the previous years the same size etc?? Or 3: make a new sub frame....and by that I mean, I have a mate who is a boiler maker and he has agreed to try and make one if I pay for materials. If so what materials would be best a…

Hello, I know I've been on about it before, but I just cannot seem to find it, the idle mixture adjustment for the XVS125, I've had my carb off and there is no screw or anything for idle/closed throttle fueling. I know there is an idle speed adjuster, its not that I'm after, its the fuel delivery one, cant find it at all, maybe the speed adjuster is all it has. With the mods I'm doing, I really need to start compensating the low end now aswell, not just the needle and main jet. If there isnt one, is it worth just putting in a bigger pilot? Thanks.
