Yes, back again with more SR125 problems! But, I have new brakes in the post and come Tuesday, no more university. So I will finally get some time to work on it. OK, so here is what's happening. I went for a ride about 2 weeks ago to get a new helmet (although, turns out the local shops had none in my size). It was riding fine apart from the previous odd cut out when idling. Anyway, getting close to home it was getting bad, It had to have throttle or it would cut out (throttle stop screw is about 2 turns out). I put it in the garage, then checked for air leaks, didn't find any. It was weird, started then just cuts out unless it was slightly revved. Even tried to in…

OK so my bike ( Yamaha Thundercat) been sat up for 3/4 weeks, yesterday i serviced her, and whacked in a Pipercross air filter and iridium plugs ( for longevity, not expecting a gain from the plugs!), Bike has a full system already on with race can. Went out today and bike was noticeably a touch quicker through gears 1-4 however when she hit 120mph, it was as if someone activated cruise control. it just would not go faster. In 5th it stopped revving at 11k rpm, which funnily enough is 120mph. nothing extra in 6th either. That was first thing this morning, temp prob around 5-7 Deg C. This afternoon, she went past 120 but slowed at 130 and stopped at 140. Temperatur…

The weather today was about 74 and sunny so I decided that it was time to get my DT 175 out of town for the first time and take a cruise through the local state park. After about 30 min of making my way through some winding roads, up and down hills, and screaming through some straights. All on asphalt and all the while maintaining an even purr, buzzing along around 5000 revs. Thinking, "Man, this bike is fantastic!" as the revs held steady and smooth through all the gears. And then I found myself with a giant school bus right on my tail in a series of pretty steep hills where the speed limit was 55mph. I made it up one hill and was on my way down another steep one at…

HI peeps I really need a wiring diagram for this bike. or some pics of someones bike wiring. Most of the bike's electrics are live inc carb heater!, petrol gauge, and others with the ignition switch off. i have the bike in peices trying to work this out but it looks like this is by design. puzzled. thick red cable from battery positive goes through 20amp fuse to various circuits above - always on thinner red cables comes from the voltage reg through 4amp fuse to the radiator fan via temp switch. hmm my current thinking is i will need to hook up a relay to energise these circuits only with the ignition key turned to on position. really confuzzled! please help me lol…

I just got my first bike; a 09 XT125x only done 1025 miles, got it for £1600, not a single scratch on it, lucky me I haven't done my CBT yet as I've got 3 months till I'm 17, I've been told that it's only pushing out around 11bhp so I would like to de restrict it while I have so much free time. Does anyone know what I can do to give it some more power? Also does anyone know how to open the seat? Perhaps there is no storage under it.

Hi all my name is Craig, I am new to this (newbie I know :L) anyway I recently bought a 1999 dt125r which runs great until 5th gear which it will stick at 9000 revs(makes 6th useless) at 60mph I've de restricted the airbox which helped acceleration and I've pulled out Reed switch ( not cut just tucked away)which did absolutely nothing I thought that would fix it, I know my powervalve is restricted as the holes don't line up which I will sort, it has the standard expansion chamber which is de restricted and a dep silencer but 60mph seems abit slow as I know these bikes have a lot more to give, any help would be much appreciated thank you

Hi Guys, My bike is coming up to need a Chain and Sprocket set way before it should be needed but I have no choice, My current one is absoloutely... well.. Nevermind. Ive been quoted £140 for an official Yamaha chain and I sure as hell can not afford that, Now on ebay there are several choices and anyone with knowledge of quality of brands products could really help right now. If anyone could possibly tell me which is the best of the listed below it would be much appreiciated. Option 1: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-YBR-125-CUSTOM-CHAIN-AND-SPROCKETS-08-10-/260849071195?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3cbbd0f45b Option 2: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-…

maybe I am not searching the website properly...but I could not find the answer to : I have a 2007 Vstar 1300 touring Took the bike out for about 3 40 minute rides today - highway and city. Temperature is about 17 to 20 degrees outside. Radiator fan did not turn each time, and coolant light did not come on. Maybe the radiator is not getting hot enough for the fan to come on due to the outside temperature....but how do I check the sensor that turns on the radiator fan and check the radiator fan - is there an easy way to get to the parts and and remotely turn them on. Checked the fuse and power is going to it.

Hello all I have an Yamaha R6 model year 2000 with down draft carbs. I have a flat spot on full throttle at 6-8000 rpm. when cleaning the carbs I noticed one of the diaphragm assembley's was split in three parts. see picture below The part is sold as one piece see diagram below part number 8 I pushed the part back together and refitted it but the fault is still there. Assuming this is what is causing the fault can this part be repaired? a new diaphragm will cost £125 so i'm hopeful I won't need to buy a new one Alan
