I have a Yamaha XS250 in my garage that has not been used for quite a while. It is in good condition and runs well. It will have a new mot and was first registered in September 81. Can anyone tell me what this may be worth and whether anyone is interested in buying it? Any information will be gratefully received. Many thanks Mark

Hi All I am after some help. My husband acquired an unregistered 2008 YAM JOG RR 50CC to get me back on the bike as I was knocked off a few years ago in Spain. The bike belonged to an old rider training school and never went on the public roads. So 1200miles it was pulled out of the iso container and sold to us. My dilemma is, how do I register it? I have the V55/5 which is blank. It asks for a Registration Number which obviously i dont have. some help and guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Sarah

Well it seems that I am really thinking of changing the FJR, been looking at the new Trumpet speed tripleRS, it's not officially available till April I think but it does look nice! Just asking really but are they any better than the horrible things I used to ride back in the day? My Bonnerville was great in a straight line but just god awful in bends plus the loss of oil was always a bit of a concern on long rides. I have heard as well that some of the latest trumpets have gearbox problems and that would be a bit of a bummer. I really need something a LOT lighter than the FJR as I have some problems with the sheer weight of the Yam as it weighs in at a massive 300 plus ki…

Would anyone be able to tell me the the best way to sell my bike. Don't want it to go to a youngen who might not look after it.

I had total faith in my newly acquired XVS650 Custom - until a 100 mile trip down the A1(M) to London and halfway back again, when engine misfires began, increased and reduced speed to a sufficiently dangerous 30mph on the hard shoulder to get be off at the next roundabout. Gel battery swollen and drained. Overcharging? Rectifier not tested but I have bought a substitute. I'm more troubled by the misfires which to me suggests CDI issues. The bike is nearly 20 years old and has probably not seen too much top top speed travelling, being (I think) mostly used as a commuter in London.) Hi I've got a 2001 xvs650 dragster it starts and runs fine but once your driving it seems to accelerate fine up through the gears but as soon as you make it work and it gets up to about 70mph it starts miss firing and the engine management light comes on. When you stop bike the engine light flashes 4 times then a pause followed by another 4 flashes and just continues until you switch the ignition off any ideas?

I got myself a wee ybr 125 custom , 2015 plate im looking for some ideas of how to turn it into a bobber im looking to put a fatter/ wider wheel and tyre on it if anyone knows what will fit or if id have to change a couple of things before i could do this a single seat and handlebars, front and rear lights any pics of a ybr already done would help

My coils are bad I think secondaries read 25K and 30 K Ohms Is there a good replacement I can buy? I hear that the XJ1100 will work? I would like new But I dont want to just put them in without checking if anything else could be wrong that caused their failure? what should I check My Bike cranks but no spark Balast resistor reads 1.8 oms many thanks for any help also one of my Pulser coils reads bad are there replacements?

I expect somewhere within the bike is the flasher relay. my problem is I have not found it! google is little help for this year and model. also online flashers show at least 3 different types ...so which/where are absent in my knowledge bank. In looking for it I came across a strange 2 fuse plastic holder. One 20 long one short that seems to have no function. regardless I got it apart and it does not want to go back together. This is a semi duplicate of what I put in the 'newbies' section...but without the ""this is me"" stuff I really could use a bit of help if someone knows what I am dealing with. THX -chuck

Hi folks, I'm fairly new to riding and quite new to doing any sort of maintenance. I need to replace a rotor and brake pads. I have a friend who will help me with the actual work, but I'm looking for advice on the parts. The bike is a 2001 YZF 600R. I assume I have options other than the genuine Yamaha parts, and even if I go with Yamaha parts, I expect there are still multiple options. So what should I look for? And I would love to hear any specific recommendations. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I have just bought a recently restored YG1, which has no V5. It has matching frame and engine numbers. I recently registered my 1962 Lambretta TV175, but al least this had a number plate! Any advice, prior to locking horns with DVLA?

hi guys! I have owned a nine-month-old Yamaha midnight star 1300. Recently, I noticed that when I change down the gear the bike hunts. I thought it was in the wrong gear, but when I try to put the bike into neutral, it behaved the same. I read some blog to find some information about this but I couldn't find what I need. Do you guys know what this may be? I'm planning to bring it back to the dealer, but before doing that I need to know what the problem is. And by the way, I'm looking for a new helmet as the recent one is pretty old. Any recommendation? Thanks a lot!

hi I have had a 1300 midnight star for 5 months now and have noticed that the bike hunts when you change down gear. it feel like you in the wrong gear for the speed you doing but it does the same when you put the bike into neutral and pull the clutch lever in coast. has anyone got an idea what this may be.
