Hi Guys, Apologies for posting here, but I am trying to delete my account as I no longer have my bike. But there doesn't appear to be an option, nor does it allow me to directly send a message to the admins. Can someone help please? Many Thanks,

  2. Started by slice,

So like all things I have decided that I'm finally done with my biking, not happy about it but I am just getting to old to do this any more. I have been riding since I was 14 and now at 71 it's time to hang my boots up. Having fallen off more times than I can mention and also having more broken bones over the years than is healthy it's time to walk away. I would like to say to you all may you all live and ride for as long as you can and stay safe out there and if you know anyone who want's a 2001 FJR1300 please let me know. I will bung an advert up on here in the near future so hope to hear from at least one of you if your interested. Good bye all. Martin.

  3. Hi all I would be grateful if you can advise me on the above matter. I have been looking to fit the above on my 1974 DT 250A . I do see them turning up on ebay , but they are all listed as the earlier models and not listed as for my bike. Having looked as the other images online I do not see the difference also . Would you be so kind to confirm if they do fit my bike. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175809090977 Kind regards

Hi all, I’m new to this site and hope someone can help me.I have recently bought myself a 1995 xj600s (UK) diversion.Unfortunately it seems the 17digit vin sticker has been removed due to unknown reasons, the only number I have left is the riveted on plate and stamped 9 digit on the frame.I’ve done a hpi and matched the last 5 digits to the current frame number which I believe is a good start.I need the 17digit version for applying for a new logbook as the previous owner never received it when he bought the bike.Everything so far looks legit based on the hpi; I have tried but to no avail created a matching 17 vin from the 9Long question short is it possible to convert the…

For anyone interested in rider to pillion communication I have got this,,,,,, "Interphone Connect Bluetooth Intercom" It is a brilliant bit of kit. Really clear sound. Also connects to phone, sat nav, other bikes if you want, waterproof and has built in radio. ect . Easy to fit into each helmet and so far perfect sound even at 70mph. I only wanted it so I could talk to my daughter on the back and make sure she was ok, and to be honest that's probably all I use it for (I'm not a teck lad),, but it will do lots more if you wanted it too. Little on the expensive side but worth it. Can get them on eBay, Amazon, Sports bike shop,,,,,,the usual places. …

  11. Good morning , I have given the carb on my bike a clean up. , but stupidly didn't mark out where the hoses went! so now i'm confused as to where they all go, one side i have 5 outlets , the other has 3 outlets but 2 are joined together. and lastly the float drain. i know what are the fuel ones, on the side with 5. but unsure where the other 3 smaller hoses go. there is a T bar at the back of the engine which goes down the frame for drainage Cant seem to find the manual for this carb so it can tell what goes where.....

Ok folks just looked inside my lid and realise that I am WELL over the 5 year change date! I usually chage it about every 4 years but for some reason I missed it by a loooong way. So I am thinking about the new version of the Shark Evo1 (2) not cheap but seems a good helmet and I still want the modular thing, do any of you know anything about them? Not tried one myself obviously but like the look and action of this one, also do you have any recomendations of your own that might be worth a try? Not interested in anything like an open face, odd that I know but the chin guard, even if movable, still helps in the cold and rain. Price isn't really a problem but it has to be wo…

I have a 1981 Yamaha 1100 Special that I have enjoyed riding for years. At he end of the season last year I put the bike away in the shop (was running great). This spring I got the bike out and filled it up with fresh fuel. It starts perfectly and idles fine, will even rev up normal. Three different times now I have got on it to ride and make it about a mile down the road and it starts bogging down and blowing smoke out of the exhaust and dies. I trailer it home and park it. After a day or so I try it again and the exact same problem. This has happened 3 times now. I have put 2 new sets of spark plugs in it, with no change. Any ideas of what to check out would be …

I have a 1984 dt50mx which after not running for 34 years ~I decided to revive. It was in a bad way as had been stored initially in garages and sheds, but the last 10 years under a tarpaulin. Long story short after a lot of TLC and replacing some parts I got it running and in August took it for MOT and it passed. Since then it started to lose power, then became more difficult to start. No it will not start. It has a good spark, timing is at 1.9 bedchamber, there is fuel. Compression seems okay. I have had the top off and replaced gaskets. The piston, rings and bore immaculate. It has only done 1k miles on the current barrel. It has new crank seals and reeds plus new coil…

Anyone have any details on pipe and cable routes, have bike that I did pic on refurb but I suspect the routes were wrong by previous chris

  18. Hi everyone, I bought a Yamaha RXS100. It was a wreck. I've had to buy several new parts for it and blah blah blah. It's getting there. When I put it all together, it wouldn't start, fuel would be peeing out of the overflow. The problem seemed to be that the float was not set correctly. I bent the float a tiny amount, and that fixed the overflowing problem. So, it starts on choke, as expected, push the choke in after 10 seconds and it idles ok ish - I've tried to set the air screw correctly. It consumes huge amounts of fuel though! Roughly 2 minutes of idling consumes 20ml. Sometimes it dumps fuel rapidly, sometimes it seems to keep hold of i…
