I am restoring the above bike that has been left in the rain for 18 months. Having trouble locating a replacement exhaust. Does anyone know what the difference is between the ybr exhaust and the ybr custom exhaust. Del Sorted now!

Hi Everyone Hoping someone can suggest ideas to help solve a problem that's driving me mad. THE PROBLEM: The bike starts and idles (initially needs choke). After a few minutes, she's warming to the touch and is happy to idle without choke but her revs drop away if throttle is applied, sometimes to the point where she actually dies. By feathering and twitching the throttle I can raise her revs past this baulking point but she repeats the baulk on throttling until I've done this a few times, sometimes with a bit of a backfire. It can take a good 5-10 minutes of idling and fiddling before she's rideable and it's not clear whether it's simply the warming up tha…

Hi all, You may have already read, but a few weeks ago the server which YOC is on was hacked, although YOC was unaffected, I had to roll back to a week old backup to remove the malware. The issue with malware is that you don't know how long it has been sat dormant before being triggered, if it was loaded into memory, if any core operating files were affected etc and the only thing to do to which ensures the malware is removed is to deploy a new server and re-install everything from scratch. This has now been done, and to reduce the chance of this happening again YOC's server is now completey isolated from some of the other sites I had. The good news is…

Hi all, long time no speak. I am reconditioning a second hand YBR engine and it does run. I suspect something isnt right with either the piston or the valves as its a bit tappy. I have taken the head apart and the valve springs are slightly different, but in the Haynes manual and the workshop manual they are supposed to be the same length. can anybody knowledgeable tell me which way round the valve springs go. one is slightly longer by about 5mm, and the other is slightly fatter by about 2 or 3mm. or perhaps I should just get new springs? Any help greatfully appreciated.

Hi, I have rebuilt this XT660r after I received it in a generally poor condition. I've now got it all back together but ten I connect the battery only the indicators, horn and lights work and I have these lights on on the dash. Can anyone help please? So like all things I have decided that I'm finally done with my biking, not happy about it but I am just getting to old to do this any more. I have been riding since I was 14 and now at 71 it's time to hang my boots up. Having fallen off more times than I can mention and also having more broken bones over the years than is healthy it's time to walk away. I would like to say to you all may you all live and ride for as long as you can and stay safe out there and if you know anyone who want's a 2001 FJR1300 please let me know. I do see them turning up on ebay , but they are all listed as the earlier models and not listed as for my bike. Having looked as the other images online I do not see the difference also . Hi folks, ive just bough a ybr250 and its a great little thing but very undergeared ... Does anyone know where i could get a larger front sprocket, it seems in the uk the 15 tooth one is all that i can find but i bet its the same other bikes iif i knew which... thanks in advance , have a sweet day

Hi all, I’m new to this site and hope someone can help me.I have recently bought myself a 1995 xj600s (UK) diversion.Unfortunately it seems the 17digit vin sticker has been removed due to unknown reasons, the only number I have left is the riveted on plate and stamped 9 digit on the frame.I’ve done a hpi and matched the last 5 digits to the current frame number which I believe is a good start.I need the 17digit version for applying for a new logbook as the previous owner never received it when he bought the bike.Everything so far looks legit based on the hpi; I have tried but to no avail created a matching 17 vin from the 9Long question short is it possible to convert the…
