I expect somewhere within the bike is the flasher relay. my problem is I have not found it! google is little help for this year and model. also online flashers show at least 3 different types ...so which/where are absent in my knowledge bank. In looking for it I came across a strange 2 fuse plastic holder. One 20 long one short that seems to have no function. regardless I got it apart and it does not want to go back together. This is a semi duplicate of what I put in the 'newbies' section...but without the ""this is me"" stuff I really could use a bit of help if someone knows what I am dealing with. THX -chuck

Hi folks, I'm fairly new to riding and quite new to doing any sort of maintenance. I need to replace a rotor and brake pads. I have a friend who will help me with the actual work, but I'm looking for advice on the parts. The bike is a 2001 YZF 600R. I assume I have options other than the genuine Yamaha parts, and even if I go with Yamaha parts, I expect there are still multiple options. So what should I look for? And I would love to hear any specific recommendations. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I have just bought a recently restored YG1, which has no V5. It has matching frame and engine numbers. I recently registered my 1962 Lambretta TV175, but al least this had a number plate! Any advice, prior to locking horns with DVLA?

hi guys! I have owned a nine-month-old Yamaha midnight star 1300. Recently, I noticed that when I change down the gear the bike hunts. I thought it was in the wrong gear, but when I try to put the bike into neutral, it behaved the same. I read some blog to find some information about this but I couldn't find what I need. Do you guys know what this may be? I'm planning to bring it back to the dealer, but before doing that I need to know what the problem is. And by the way, I'm looking for a new helmet as the recent one is pretty old. Any recommendation? Thanks a lot!

hi I have had a 1300 midnight star for 5 months now and have noticed that the bike hunts when you change down gear. it feel like you in the wrong gear for the speed you doing but it does the same when you put the bike into neutral and pull the clutch lever in coast. has anyone got an idea what this may be.

Yamaha XV535. I want to change to straight bars but the long risers have 14mm dia bolts. Short risers 10mm. Are there two different top yokes for these bikes?

Dewalt do a 170nm impact driver and a 130nm impact wrench, which one? same cost. Driver has more diy use but less effective when working on the car, uses hex screwdriver fittings. But I have the adapters. Primary use is the bikes and the car, screws are low on the priority list but it is a plus i suppose, might help with chocolate jis crankcase screws? There are times, like the recent starter clutch when they are really useful. 130nm is a lot too, try it on your torque wrench. Dont want to be ripping heads off. I am go…

As we all know getting brand new pistons for the xj900f can be very hard. But over the years with trail and error I have found some available now.. You will find the xj900f standard bore is 69mm The Suzki 850 over sized is 70mm and the dome is 1mm taller.. I have designed and built my own Trike and the 1mm taller dome makes more hp the faster you go... The higher speeds means you will need racing oil... Please be careful. Thanks
