Hey ya'll, My name is Matt, been around dirt bikes all my life. Started racing on a (highly modified) pw50 (cough cough 60). Played other sports, but always enjoyed being on 2 wheels. My brother is a mechanic for a AMA supercross & motocross team, so we love wrenching on bikes, always looking to make them faster, and more fun to ride. After many years of discussing it, we started a side company in 2012. We provide race prep and tuning for dirtbikes, and we can also provide a mechanic at the race if you would like. We also make carbon fiber parts & accessories for dirt bikes & 'Cafe Racer' styled streetbikes. Sorry for the long intro. If you want to chec…

Hello all, just thought I would say hi. I've just purchased a Yamaha RD 250 1977. The registration (numberplate) has been lost by the previous owner as It's been off the road for 10+ years. I would like to get it back on the road, the engine and frame numbers match. Whats the best way to get the V5/reg information ? Thanks!

I hope I don´t offend anybody with the title. That´s not my intention. I am a young guy in my mid forties. I am from a small town in Denmark. I like to screw around my bike - hehe, no that came out wrong. I like to work with bikes and cars, or everything with an engine. I am a real DIY man. I have bought an old Yamaha FZR 1000 from 1988 with some bruises, so I am going to give her a makeover. Maybe a wider rear rim, if I can get it to fit, and yes I know a different rim can change the riding character, but if the riding turns out so bad, then I can always change it back to standard. That was a little introduction of me, and I will post some photos of my bike when…

Hey everybody, Who am I? I a 26 yo. From Belgium. New into the whole 'motorbikestory'. Never was allowed to have a motorcycle, but convinced my dad that I can buy one. Since I'm not into new big bikes, and under 125cc I don't need a license...(but allready drove a 250cc dirtbike from a friend when I was 16 and rented a honda dax in france on vacation) -> good morning YAMAHA RS100 (1978). My original idea was to turn the bike into a caferacer, but because the bike is completely original, I will not change a thing. It has it charmes, and is nice as it is. I started with the basics; how does a 2-stroke work. How does a carb work. Thanks to mr.youtube I'm now w…

Buddymc in Huntsville Al here. Just picked up a 95 Virago XV750G to go along with my 09 TW200 Dual Sport. Recently retired and having a ball exploring the world out there from the seat of a motorcycle. Also enjoying getting my hands dirty working on bikes again and making each of them "mine" with all sorts of tweaks and farkles. Hoping this Forum helps me to connect up with some local riders. Now that I've gottten my wife to passenger with me I'm ready for us to get out there a bit further away from home. Hollow at me if you are in the North Alabama / Southern Tennessee area and would like to ride.

Hi guys - got a few Yams in the family but after some help with daughter's DT50MX - stolen and recovered tore all the dash and clocks off and twisted wires together. Bought a donor bike for bits with spare ignition and clocks. Refitted and electrics working but no spark - it is a CDI model. Is there any way to test CDI for faults and would shorting all 4 ignition wires together cause this to burn out? Got a TY250 majesty, FZ600 and FZR1000 exup between us! I look forward to getting to know you guys. Steve
