  2. Hi there , Just joined up have recently aquired a XS1100 special with no left side cover and i have a CB750C as well. I see from a little search that the XS1100 side cover left is a bit of a bugger to replace.. I have a mate who has one with a side cover and as i already replicate some of the Honda CB750 customs and nighthawks side covers for sales on ebay i will try and borrow my mates one and replicate that too..

  3. Hi There everyone, I'm writing just to introduce while i am waiting excitedly for the evil bay auction on (hopefully) my new xs400 engine. I have been around bikes and cars for most of my life, now accumulating some 45 (old) cars. Bikes have only been a fun outlet till recently falling in love with a 1980 xs250, I spent months cleaning, polishing, rebuilding and modifying this bike to a standard i was happy to be seen on, only to have it all destroyed by a lovely lady who thought bikes were meant to give way to traffic cutting across their path???!?!?!?? Anyway a few weeks have past and i have decided to repair and rebuild my latest toy.....again! Luckily I was ab…

Hello all, just thought I'd drop a line on here to introduce myself. My name is Jacob from western NC. My grandfather gave me his old 71' CT1 175 about 5 years ago. Sad story developed; I started restoring it at my house at college, left it in my basement when I moved because I had no room, and went back to move it and it was gone. Landlord said she never saw it which seemed fishy but its been 3 yrs since the incident. I doubt anyone stole it because it was stripped down to the frame so it may have been junked. The incident was def fault on my end and the bike is no longer in my possession. My grandad asks about it from time to time and I can't bring myself to tell…

  12. Hello fellow bikers, l'm still new to bigger bike myself and got myself a 1996 Yamaha XJ600s Diversion which l been riding on when the weather been good (so some of you may understand, no one likes getting wet on a bike lol) l been riding my bike to work and on a few short trips in and around town mostly. l have done a longer trip over 180 miles in one day and have been happy riding it. 13. About to buy a 1980 Yamaha DT175 from one of my best friends. I am just waiting for him to replace the clutch and get my license. I am really excited and nervous as I have never ridden a motorcycle before so I am going to take a certification course. The DT 175 should be perfect for me as I am 5'4" with a 26in inseam and will be using it to ride around San Francisco as well as occasional off-roading trips. The bike runs great despite the clutch but I do plan on fixing her up as I am able. Good to find a great community like this to learn from. Cheers!

Hello everyone, just a way of introduction: I'm Matthew, 32, and I've been riding a YBR125 for about a year but I have my Direct Access scheduled next month (can't wait!) and an XJ6 Diversion F on order with my local Yamaha dealer. I cover quite a few miles commuting into central London and back. I've always liked the idea of getting a bike, but having endured the commute into the capital by train, it finally pushed me into getting on two wheels. Matt.

Hi, Im new to this site so i thought i would introduce myself and what im doing. I recently brought a DT125 used off road and i would like to put it back on the road and renovate it to a good condition. if there is anyone out there who could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. I am an electrical/mechanical engineer so i feel confident in my abilities ( i've just never worked on a bike before!). The bike has no frame no's as it was stolen/recovered (I have the receipts of my proof of purchase) and it is in progress to go on a q plate with DVLA V55/5 (so it is Legit!). as soon as i figure out how to put pictures on here could someone please help…
