Hey folks! Just thought I'd post some pics of my new (to me) first motorcycle! It's a 1987 Virago 535, and I'm loving the heck out of it. I'm sure I'll go for some more power later on, but for my first bike it's awesome! Sorry about the horrible instagram filters, my girlfriend is obsessed.

Hi I'm Lee. 20 y/o student from Derbyshire, UK. I had a moped when I was 16, and a lil PY90 when I was about 13! I'm a complete noob to bikes but would love to get my head around them while I'm still young.. Passed my car test 2 years ago, but still cant afford to insure.. Going to redo my CBT soon and am on the look out for a starter bike. I was thinking about getting a cheap 125 for now and run that on L plates until I'm 21 and then take the test so I'm not limited to a 33bhp bikes for 2 years. So for now, been looking at a few 125s. Cheapest I've found are the SR 125's and I think they have the potential to give me some experience in maintaining etc. I'v…

For all those living in the UK, I have recently passed my CBT and have ordered myself a YBR125 (collecting next weekend!) I'm really looking forward to gaining some more road experience before I work towards my full licence. I'll share pictures of my YBR once I've collected it.

Hi all, I would just like to introduce myself, My name is Mark, I live in Easington, Durham and originally from Sunderland. I past my bike test in October 2011 and bought a 2010 black Yamaha XJ6S a few weeks later. As my bike was being unloaded off the van, my mate rang me to tell me he'd just dropped his bike on a round about after skidding on a patch of diesel. great start :$ About a month later I dropped mine in the work car park god knows how! I have have recently noticed that there are hundreds of loose block paving bricks (well thats my excuse) It cost about £250 for to replace a fairing. After that, I became a chicken and looked for excus…

Hi folks, After too many years of not riding I decided to dig my trusty YPVS out of the garage over the weekend, and have been giving her a good clean and polish. I had thought of selling her, as I am getting a bit old and rounded to be doing daft things on bikes, but seeing her sleek black and red lines I might just rethink that one. It looks as if I will need to fix the fuel tap as it leaks when I try to turn it. I gather there are seals kits available so that should be easy enough to do. However, the aircraft style fuel filler cap is more of a mystery. The key turns, but the cap will not open. I have tried removing the Allen head screws, but these don…

Well I'm one of the new guys as well. About three years ago I bought myself a dirt bike, YZ125, to finally get back into it. I had a little multi-terrain Honda when I was a teenager but it didn't run too well and it didn't last too long. Anyways I finally got back into off-roading and really enjoying it. I did post a thread looking for help with my clutch problem in the dirt bike section. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys! My name is jp and I am from the Philippines, I run a motorcycle spare parts shop and just recently started my project on both my dad's old RS100 which I inherited and my uncle's RS100 (a later version with no cdi). Mostly I tinker with computers but I think I am starting to like tinkering with motorcycles as well. I searched a lot of stuff online about things I don't know about motorcycles and I think this is the best forum regarding Yamaha motorcycles. I've already posted my first question regarding the wiring diagram and I can't wait to finish rewiring my uncle's RS100. See you guys around!
