Hi, I'm new to all this but I understand that it's a good call to introduce myself. So, My names Christopher and I currently work in London as a Chef. I'm moving back down to Tunbridge Wells in a few days and have decided to get myself my first bike, YZF-R125, which I collect on Saturday. I'm 20 and have wanted a bike from about 12 years old! Thanks to the couple of people who responded to my insurance post and pointed out that the intro is good etiquette. Any advice on riding, basically not getting knocked off, insurance, what kit to buy and the best way to protect my bike from getting nicked would be fantastic. Chris

hi everyone, i made a thread in the help section and someone suggested a make an intro thread here. since i was little i've loved the look of classic japanese motorcycles I recently started attempting to rebuild my dad's old 1966 yds he hasnt driven it since the 70s to be honest, i have no experience working on bikes and right now my goal is to get it together and able to start; if i can get to that point i'll replace all the broken/missing/dilapidated parts and try to make it look nice. i've lurked on this site quite a bit and it seems like a great resource of information as well as eyecandy

Hi all Thought I'd say a quick "Hi". I've just bought my first bike, a Yamaha XVS 125 Drag Star, only had a licence for about a year and completed CBT last October. It's all new to me, but loving every minute on the bike, the feeling of freedom is fantastic! Cheers Mark

Hi all, Just introducing myself to you all. I own a 1991 SR125, which is my daily commuter and an 1993 SR250 which is an ongoing project. I started biking as it was the cheaper option to getting a car and found that I got a buzz from the ride. I try to do most of the work needed and services etc myself and i'm lucky to have a well learned relative to assist when i'm stuck. I'm 24 and have only been biking for 10 months but can see myself becoming a bike nut over the next few years. Anyway, just to say Hi! Michael

Hey guys, just joined yesterday and wanted to intro myself. Live in 'sunny' South Devon - married with 4 (yes 4) teenage kids - nightmare! First road bike - new FS1e (purple the best!) that dates me sufficiently haha. Had loads of different bikes since then and a few spills but been lucky enough to get away with them - just. Closest scrape - 2004 - woman pulled out in front of me and my Aprilia Mille - wrote the bike off and had a good go at me at the same time. She was prosecuted and got away with a driver improvement course - she should have been banned for life. Used to ride trials and motorcross - ty250's and Maico's but too long in the tooth now. Current …
