Hello there! My name is Paul and I live near to Belfast, N.Ireland. I commute a short distance to work on my 2007 YBR125. I also have an XJ6N 2010 which I have been riding, (weather permitting), since I pased my test in Sept 2011. Yes peeps, XJ is restricted! Fully twisted, had it doing 93 yesterday coming home from Monaghan. Anyway, nice to be here on the forum. Keep it between the hedges!

Just a quick hello from Derbyshire. I ride a Dragstar 125 at the moment and have been for about 16 months. Having gained the road experience on a bike (been driving for 20 years), I'm now looking forward to doing my DAS this summer so I can upgrade to a big boys bike. Enjoying the ride, but now have cc envy. That said, arriving at school on any bike (I'm a teacher), still gives a certain degree of kudos with the kids. Ride safe.

Hey everyone, It's my first day here so I am hopping to the newbees section to say 'hi' and introduce myself. I live in London and recently bought FZX250 Zeal, after 10 years of non-riding. Prior to that I used to ride across the Czech land my 250Jawa from 1959! Gorgeous half dead bike that used to let me down in the middle of bumblefucks, and so pushing it around became a part of my life. Now I am back on wheels and my grin cannot be wider I am looking forward to chatting to you all. Twist the wrist!!!

Hi Tomorrow I get my first ever motorbike, an FZR600R which has been streetfightered (I'm not a massive fan of the style but it was cheap). I'm paying £600 for it and it has a fresh MOT but no tax. My name is Robert and I live near Scunthorpe (just off the A1077) and I'm 24 years old. When I have the bike I'll get some pictures on. Hey Guys, How's everyone doing? Liberating my Mk1 '86 RD125LC from the depths of my garage where its been in storage for the last 6 or so years. Spent a weekend de-gunking her and resetting the carb/floats, stripping the carb completely. Checking jetting and the likes. Before she was stored i had a major problem of bogging in 3/4 to full throttle. Which is a problem when that powerband is just so damn addictive. Its obvious now im a little older and wiser what was wrong. The air mix screw was stuck to such an extent that it took hacksawing a new groove into it to get a bit more purchase onto it. Also a couple of brass nipples had fallen off leaving holes in…

  8. Hi everyone! I'm a 33-year-old married woman with a soft spot for older bikes that you don't see running around every day. We currently own a 1989 Hawk NT650 GT, 1983 XZ550 Vision, 1989 FZR400, and as of yesterday a 1979 DT125F project bike. My husband and I have three small kids, so projects are something that don't necessarily get done over the weekend. We are about to overhaul a Chevy 350...the DT is in line after that. Ah well, I've waited several years for this project - I can wait another few weeks, right? RIGHT???

hi all, not my first post, but thought it time to say hello. I'm 45 just got back on 2 wheels after about 27 years. my first bike was a fizzy, then a dt 50. now many years later I have a YBR 125. having a great time riding again, north Wales has some great riding roads ( just too many hills for a 125). so hope to pass test and get some more power.

Hi just thought id post just to say this is me haha. Hi my name is Cameron Rae ive been riding my 2008 Yamaha Aerox R for just more than a month now as i passed my CBT in may. Being the usual teenager i have stuck stickers on my machine and swapped out the stock lights for brand new ones i have bought a jack up kit and a new air filter sponge as the old one was getting a bit used. I love my little scooter it is a new sense of freedom i have never had before some of my mates have bought 50cc bikes and we go out for a "scoop" regulary and i find one problem with my scooter compared to their bikes is that tincy bit less speed i have and being young this means everything to m…

  14. Hi Guys and Gals , nice to be part of a group of like-minded individuals who love to be on two wheels. I purchased my 1980 XS250 Special over 15 years ago, rode it home , parked it and haven’t started or ridden it since. Long story but nice to be in a position now where I can spend some time and money to get her back and running (I hope) Will post a couple of photos in the next few days along with trying to source tyres, battery etc. I’m here to share what I know (shouldn’t take long ) and pick some brains too. Nice to be on board. Cheers PJ

Hello all, just bought a 79 DT1 with 9000k. Started first kick and ran strong but... Shades of my CT1. Both would stall for no apparent reason. After half an hour of kicking it would star and run fine till the next time. The DT1 doesn't start. Little or no spark so now the research begins. It looks/felt good while it was running so should be fun. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. It's getting fuel. Battery is 6V. Kill switch is working both on and off. From the schematic, it seems the ignition switch also acts like a kill switch so I believe that part is working. When I put a meter on the (points) side I know there are no points, its just to I'd the wire, …
