Hello folks! My name is Phil, i am 50 and "emigrated" to London in the early 90's - job relocation and the love of a good woman, so they say! Anyway, after spending many years of storage in my parents garage, my 1981 DT175 MX and i have finally been reunited! She needs a bit of TLC but it's only minor things, such as the fuel tank being cleaned of the sediment, a new seat and i will also replace the chain and sprockets for good measure, as these are a little worn. I initially got interested in the DT when i seen my neighbour with a 1973 model. As i was a schoolboy at that time, buying one was out of the question. Hey you guuuuyyyyyssss. I'm new to the Yaha's and motorcycles in general. Just picked up a 1975 DT175 and 1978 DT175MX for a case of beer. Both were parts bikes but between the two I got the 1975 driving pretty well. And I didnt have to pay anything for either bike so its all just for fun. I work as a vehicle maintenance technician for Alta ski resort so I'm familiar with two strokes they just usually have tracks not tires. Can't wait to get to know you guys and girls(unless this is like the VW forums). -Dave

Hi to all, be kind to me as I'm new to this forum lark, me names Burt, from Sheffield my first bike was a DT 125 Lc some 30 years ago, had some sort of 2 wheeled fix ever since but I've recently come full circle (mid life crisis according to her indoors) and bought a very original DT 125 LC YeeHa!

Hi All I've been a biker all my life, but have recently had to give it up. I am still a biker and it will always be in the blood. I have a new Hepco & Becker top rack for a drag star in the shed out the back and would like to shift it on. Think they are £132 new. Is it worth £50!!!

Brand new to this site so thought I would say Hi. I have a '82 Yamaha XS1100 Maxim trike which I'm in the process of doing up. Don't know if this is the right place for info but does anyone know where I can get hold of a replacement tank? Looked everywhere and can only seem to find them in the States. Or are there replacement tanks out there that'll fit my frame? Thanks for your time!

Hi I'm Craig iv had my dtr 02 reg for about a month now and the other day it died while waiting at traffic lights, I got it started after ten mins and has got worse since. When it does start it only stays started with the throttle open. Any ideas would be a big help.

hi im michael, from county durham and have just got a xvs 125 dragstar for my first bike. its an 2002 dragstar with 2800 miles and needs abit of work doing to it before i do my cbt so if anyones got any tips for me that would be great

Many many years ago I was the proud owner of a DT125R. Now my son has reached the ripe old age of 17 and has asked for a motor bike to get around. I have purchased a 1990 TZR 125 in need of some TLC so I will be on here alot asking for advice. First question I would ask is am I mad? Second question is do any of you know any good suppliers of quality second hand parts. Thanks in advance Steve
