Hi, I just recently passed my CBT and got a Yamaha XT 125 R as i'd like to be doing a bit of offroading too. Use the bike to commute 40 mile daily to uni so will be doing lots of maintanence. Studying Automotive enginering currently, looking forward to a career in motorsport. Ben

Alright people, nice be here. I'm riding a YBR. Someone stole the battery from my bike the other day though and caused a bit of damage. Hopefully I'll be back on the road tomorrow.

Evening all I've just inherited my first bike (An XJ600 from 1991) and am eager to get on the road. The bike is in need of some work and I love getting my hands dirty so want to complete it myself but will definitely need some expert advice on the way. With that in mind, I've joined hoping to get in touch with some Yamaha enthusiasts who can guide me through. Cheers Ben

Hi Everybody! My name is Dan and I live in Utah. I currently have an 81 XT500 and an 81 XT250 (my wife's bike). I am working on doing sort of a cafe style bike with my XT500. I just put on a new mikuni VM36 carb and am working on the exhaust now. I am in the middle of converting it to 12v lighting as well. I am going to use fork tubes from an XS750 to have a disc brake up front. I will probably convert the XT250 to 12v as well this winter. Thanks for having me! -Dan

From a pile of parts I have built a basically running "cafe" style bike. in order for it to be 100% i only need one part. the carburator insulating gasket. this is the gasket that mounts the carb to the cylinder head. this is the bike and my project car.

I have a G reg XJ600 pre-diversion, in reasonable nick. I usually use it for local trips and to go into town without having to worry about parking. It gets an easy life with me, I don't belt it and it only did 500 miles last year! It makes a useful shelf in the garage! Nice to find a site where people exchange views about them.

Hi All First time on site - have already done DT125RE for my lad etc, liked that when I ran it in before letting him loose on it so bought myself a TZR125 (partly modified to R) one thing I would like to know is there a restricting element to stop the motor revving high - thought within the DT125 there was a mod to alter the wiring within speedo to allow full revs. Usually ride FZS1000 - but the little 2-stroke motors are brilliant, may try to find TZR250 later !!! Hi everybody, I'm Jay, I just recently purchased a XT125X for a winter bike / project, it's a project because I didn't pay a lot for it so its not in the greatest condition, and the guy who I purchased it from was a very young lad who had been messing about with it quiet a lot. It will be my winter bike as I have a Honda CBR 600 that I ride the rest of the year, I'm relatively new to riding so this will be my first year riding through winter so I have started off with the bike that I think will be perfect for the winter months. Can't wait to get going!

Hi everyone, I recently decided to have a look at a dusty old motorcycle in a relative's garage. Cleaned it up slightly, and realised it was a 1976 DT175C Enduro. Luckily, it's in really great condition with just over 14,000 km on the clock. No significant rust, just dusty, grimey and in need of some grease and oil! Fortunately we also dug out the original service manual too. It was in a similar condition to the bike, but readable. I love the classic look and feel of the bike, and despite a significant lack of mechanical experience, I've begun to resurrect this machine. I've seen many pictures of similar Enduros from the late 70's that have been restored, and (w…
