Hi i just picked up an RSX 100. "number plate tells me its 96, guy thought it was 84.." its a bit worse for ware. needs a bit of electrical work. some engin work "hopefully carb related" and a copiuos ammount of tlc thought id come join up here as it may be a valuable source of needed parts.

Sorry I've been wandering through blindly but yes. Hello, i'm Kash - I have a wee Yam YBR 125 and while I've done my DAS and hold a full licence. I'm very much at peace on my YBR. The YBR nippy about town, easy to work on, easy to maintain, and "theoretically" easy to modify. and by modify i mean turning the seat undertray into a useful storage unit and not sticking monster stickers and anodised renthal handlebars on (to each their own I suppose.)

I've always looked around this site and decided it's finally time i joined... I've gone back to college after being in full time work for three years to study motorcycle mechanics, going great so far and learning things so fast! I have an XT125R, great little bike and so much fun! I've recently started modifying it (only the basics) so don't be surprised if i ask a load of annoying questions! Been a biker since I was 17 and I love my old DT, I've had it since new in 1981. It used to be a 175 but is currently a 125 so that my son can learn to ride. Silly UK laws he would have been safe enough with the 175, but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere and he's just pleased to be mobile. Ive checked it out before he got on it after the head and barrel change. Seems a little bit sluggish but I'm used to the 175. Im thinking maybe needs re-jetting, but reluctant to do this without a bit more background knowledge. Its about run in now so thinking of refining the performance if I can, (Dont want it to be highly tuned just as good as it can be as a standard DT …

Hi I am a newbie though at 65 I do not feel like one.I have been a biker since I was 16.My present ride is a 1200 streetfightered bandit.I have joined the club as my grandson was given a basket case DT50MX I have done it up and got it through the mot then it stopped.Every symptom is that of a blocked pilot jet according to the book????It tries when we push it but wont pick up.HELP!!

Hi. I just registered and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Matt. I'm working on restoring a 1978 DT175E - It's just like the bike I had 20 years ago when I was a teenager. I'm cartainly no mechanic, in fact I often wish I was better, so that is part of my thinking on restoring a 34 year old bike - to develope some more mechanical skills and to live out my memories of the days before my back and knees hurt. Anyway - I jumped right into a techncal (kind of) question in the Yamaha Workshop forum and got a super quick answer from what turned out to be a mod. (I think I'm going to like this place.) and now I thought I better go back and introduce myself properly…

As above. I can start the bike but I can't stop the bike from beeping after I set the immbiliser off.

Figured I'd introduce myself on here, just got my license in August, right around the same time I picked up a 1976 Yamaha XS750 Had it running before I went on a month long road trip, can't get it started now that I'm back. Hoping to find some good info and expertise on here!

Hey Ladies and Gents, I'm Cem, I just bought myself a Yamaha Ybr125, I'm 19, and due to pass my CBT on Tuesday. I bought my bike about a month ago, and since then have found that I would need to replace my exhaust system, as the previous owner, patched over my exhaust pipe many times with thermal paste, and I have just spotted as it fell off it revealed holes -.-. I was wondering, what is the best option for the exhaust, to buy a new stock one, or pay a little extra for an aftermarket one which would make it sound better, and will that make my insurance go up? Aerox 2011 fuel injected but new exhaust does not have the fitting for the fuel injected bit on the exhaust what to do ?????

hello just got adt 125 lc frame been told its a 1984 , but no idea its bare with just a few bits on it , its my new project build a bike dt 125lc athon, the only identity on the bike is right side of the steering column 12w-000 441, has anyone any idea what this means in relation to model or age because i guess im going to be buying a lot of parts for it soon .

Just joined this group - looks like plenty of intertesting stuff here. I've had bikes on and off for many years; British, Japanese and Italian. I currently have a garage full of bikes and bits including a DT250MX which I've been rebuilding for far too long! Hi Guys, Just joined the group have been riding Yams for awhile now started of with a Fazer 600, went to a Fazer 1000 and then R1, however recently came back from a trip to OZ where i rode Harley Softtail around Ayres rock and fell in love with a cruiser.......Enter the Midnight Star XVS950!! took it for a test ride and fell in love bit of a differnace but hey life is all about change. I have heard that you can mod the air box to enable cool air and get the bike sounding abit beefer, wondering if any one else has done this and the procedure and what the final outcome was. happy riding!!

Hi everyone, im a new member 40yrs old and have occasionaly mucked about wit bikes over the past 20yrs or so, living in exeter devon, having recently bought a 1982/83 XJ550 american import and was wondering if anybody knows a good place in south west even devon area to get spare parts, I havent passed my test yet but my mate was selling it and always thought it looked great, and when he offered it to me, how could I say no and its the push I need to pass my test many thanx Ian
