  1. Started by Force,

Just wanted to say a quick hi. I've recently started riding a bike, mainly green laning / enduro type riding and bought myself a DT125RE back in May 2012. Hopefully I'll have a full licence soon and am looking at getting myself a WR250! I'll be sticking around on these forums for a while as I post up more and more of my bike problems (haha), and hopefully be able to help others too with similar problems. Catch you all later!

Hi everyone, As you all probably guessed, I'm new to the forum. I got myself a '78 Yamaha RS100 a few weeks back but I'm pretty new to mechanics and bikes in general. So that's why I joined the forum, to gain some knowledge. Pieterjan

Hey there. Names Dale, from South Africa where the sun never goes down! I have just purchased myself 1993 TZR 125 R 4JB yesterday. I LOVE IT! It has been customized by the previous owner in the sense that it has no front fairings and looks quite aggressive. I will upload a pic or too soon. On my ride home though i noticed a ticking/knocking noise coming from the motor and i am a little worried. Will be taking it for a service soon. Not sure what it could be. Anyways i have joined this forum to chat and share info and tips on these bikes in hope that i learn more as i am quite enthusiastic about them. Dale OUT!

First of all an intro i think, My name is Ed, I am from the UK but currently live in Denmark. I have owned a pre-div XJ600 for about a year now and recently bought a TDM850. (Enjoying both bikes immensely but i found the 600 too small for touring over large distances.) Being new to yamahas I wanted to come and see if I could meet a few people and of course soak up as much experience and knowledge on my bikes as possible Basically I am really happy this place exists as there arent a lot of bikes or people who know about them in denmark. Hopefully, after a bit more experience, if i can give something back as well that would be great. cheers..

Hi all, just signed up, although I have had several bikes over the years, I have just recently acquired a 1984 XJ750 F (I think, see below) needs a bit of tidying but in pretty good nick for a 28yr old, got no paper work with it so flying a bit blind as regards exactly what it is, will post a photo if I can so you can see and maybe someone out there can put me straight, came with no pads front or rear so trying to work out what fits it, any help would be appreciated. P.S this is not my bike but a picture of one exactly like it.

Just bought myself a Yamaha XT125X Supermoto '07 for £220 needs few bits and bobs but overall drives well and looks the job sincei have cleaned/polished her. Also needs taxed and mot'd shouldn't be a problem, once i have completed my CBT and have the bike fully cleaned and serviced myself (including have the whole bike taken apart and put back together). The bike itself needs new: Chain and sprockets speedo cable (as expected with this bike) Preferably new clutch plates new battery 10w 40 oil oil filter Maybe put a new exhaust on just for looks as it is only rusty looking part on the bike. Previous bike was a 125cc loncin pitbike.

  16. Hello everyone, It's Pat here form Ireland (I know, the name is original) I was on the look out for a T80 for the past while but was on a very limited budget, I finally managed to pick one up over the May bank holiday weekend. What character this bike has. It has 6000 Miles on board and in relatively good condition. Seemingly it was in a garage for the last 8 years. The crazy thing was that once new petrol was added a few kicks and it started. From then it's starting on the first kick. I think i'm going to strip it back to the mental and refurb it from scratch, does anyone know where is the best place to get parts. I have all original lights but what i need is a …

Hi All, Just had my wrist wrapped by Cynic for posting a "How do I" before a "Hello I am", although I have been reading for a number of weeks. So with my hand on my lid I apologise and would like to say Hi Brief history of me (although knowing me this won’t be brief at all, so I’m sorry in advance). I’m 31, living in Essex and I am just starting my biker life. My dad had loads of bikes when I was young but after my parents divorce I was never exposed to bikes into my teens. Then my cousin was very unfortuately killed on a bike and so, well my interests went on to other things. In January I was away skiing and during one (drunken) conversation a f…

I've been a Yamaha rider all my biking life (30+ years) but I've never had access to the internet before. Yes there are still a few of us out there! Looking forward to getting a feel for what problems / experiences other bikers have with XS650C's and XS750SE's plus general chat with the biking community.

Hi So here it is - my intro. I first learnt to ride a motor scooter when I was 17 and couldn't get enough of it. A red B-reg Honda Lead 80cc. 18 years later I decided to get back into biking and bought a Honda 125 (got bored very quickly) and because I passed my test at 18, I got something bigger and traded in for a FZ6 Fazer S2. Lots of smiles had!! I'm a full-time working Mum and every chance I get I try and get out and ride. Having a few teathing problems at the mo so any other comments appreciated in the Yamaha Workshop but I think I've already come to my own conclusions. Thanks in advance. jamjar x
