Hello from West Wales to all you good Yamaha folk ! Just got my 1998 YZF 600r yesterday, cannot believe how good she rides considering her 14 years and how many differnt bikes i have used . Mush better than my CBR 600F { boring}, and even better than my previous 636, { less comfy and too small} Gotta feeling i`m gonna like this Yam .....A LOT !! Cheers...... Mark.

Hello Yamaha Owners. I am new to the bike scene, I just purchased my first bike which is the Yamaha R1. No, it would not have been my first choice, but funny story. I went to Colorado to help my best friend move. 3 weeks prior to the move, he had purchased HIS FIRST bike, the R1. He had never even sat on a bike in his life, Myself I had some experience. Get to the point, I tried teaching the kid how to ride, it just was not working out. I decided to purchase the bike from him, and the day after the agreement, I rode the bike from Denver, Colorado to Minneapolis, Minnesota.. It was the best yet worse experience yet... So here I am.

Hi to all you bikers I am new here I have a problem with cylinder 3 that wont run, temp on exhaust manifold is aprox. 60degree C and the other ones are 300degree C. I have tried to clean the carbs, swobbed the ignition cables 2 to 3, swobbed the sparkplugs.... when I look down in the sparkplug hole I can see gasoline on the piston... I asumed that when cylinder 2 has a spark then cylinder 3 also would have... Hope that anyone of you can help me Thanks.. Regards Henrik

Seeing as I've been browsing this site for 6 weeks or more and posting the odd reply, thought I'd say hello and tell you a bit about my motoring history. Been riding bikes since before I was 16 (had an elder brother who had bikes and he had friends with bikes) and started my "official" biking life with an FS1E-DX in yellow. P reg I think and I thought it looked like the dogs bits, especially with the addition of a cockfit fairing and drop bars which did nothing for performance but did keep me a bit drier! A year or so later I graduated to an RD125DX in metallic red, which was a sweet little twin, that had a bit of performance but struggled 2 up. Having endured on…

Hello everyone, I have stumbled across your forums through a google search and thought it would be great to sign up. My name is Lee, I am 22 years old and from Cornwall, UK. I have only got a provisional license with a CBT but plan on doing my full test within the next year. The previous bikes I have owned are a Honda MTX125, a Yamaha SR125, a Suzuki GN125, a Yamaha RD125LC, a Honda CG125, an Aprilia RS125 and my current bike that I purchased one month ago is a 2007 Yamaha YBR125 with only 592 miles on the clock, so practically brand new! It is on about 820 miles now and out of all of the bikes I have owned, I reckon the RDLC was the most fun as I do love 2 strokes, but t…

New member reporting in, already had some assistance from airhead in a previous post ( I jumped the gun a bit ) so here's the intro now. I've always been into bikes & have a few old & new(ish) ones - 1931 to 1983. A couple of newer trials bikes but I don't count them. Forums appear to be excellent & I've already gleaned a lot of good info. Oh, I'm in Northeast Scotland by the way. Dave

Just introducing myself real quick. My name is Dan, and although I just turned over-the-hill this last month, I'm still as active as ever riding dual-sport cycles, rockclimbing, hiking, etc, etc. I got my first cycle for my 6th birthday, and have been riding ever since. I've owned a couple Yamahas over the years - an MX 80 when I was around 9 or 10, and currently a 1978 DT-175. I bought the DT-175 6 years ago. It had 1,500 miles on it, and even the tires were still original. 4,000 miles later (most very hard riding on trails) and it's still going strong. I live in the Appalachians where there are great roads (smooth survice, nice curves, scenic views), and lots…
