Hi everyone, i'm a new recruit into the yamaha world. Just got myself an XVS650 with few mods, and been loving it! Great bike and sounds sweet with a set of Vance & Hines pipes. Will post up some photo's bit later on. Would love a professional opinion. Also wanted to know if there are any cruises that the club organises. Would be nice to go with some other cruisers. Cheers

quick heads up guys theres highway hawk pipes like mine for the 125 on e-bay .I know loads of you want them.

Does anyone know how the weight of the stock Virago 250 exhaust compares to aftermarket exhaust systems (such as drag pipes) ?

Hello All XVS 125 bobber mission coming on well, after months of searching i found a supplier of after market exhausts, there not compleat straight shots, but they are pretty loud, and look great, these are not easy to find, so get some (if you need some) while you can. its www.japsandhogs.co.uk, there a great little company enjoy!! hi yall, havnt been on for ages as been busy soz. today done CBT so cud ride my bike a xvs 125. well today done CBT n booked bike for MOT being a knob didnt listen to much mor experinced guys on here n made in my defence *********(insert ur own words) kin mistake. i didnt listen, used a stupid aftermarket generic air filter after being warned and to be fair feckin bike ran like a bag of *********************(as above) so after getting home changed to original air filter OMG wot a difference a much better rev range n bike ran better. b4 40mph struggle n well wot can i say original filter feels better bike ran better and much happier. first and for most sorry guys on here…

hy everyone, ive just bought a xvs 1300 mindight star. had a test ride and loved it. so just a few questions - what mpg can i expect [ both going steady & on the motorway at 70mph ] and can i expect to get high milage from it without to bigger problems. and any tips from owners would be great cheers.

Hi everyone, I wonder if you can help. I recently brought a Virago XV 125 as a non-runner and have been spending the last few weeks slowly putting her back to former glory. I have had to do the typical, hunt for manuals and buy spare parts that were missing. Problems the bike had were: Possible TDI unit fault (turned out to be broken wire in the loom) Battery not charging (Rectifier replacment needed) Electrical problems (turned out to be burnt connectors on the fuse wire, replaced and all fine) The problem i have is that the previous owner had tried to repair the bike and had taken a lot of it apart. Evening all hope all is well, been doing some thinking of late about reboring the wee machine.Found a mob in France who are willing to do it for me.They want me send the barrells and heads out to them and they'll send it back rebored to 170cm3 with pistons,rings,carb kit and intructions on what to do with the air box.Now this has me thinking can i buy the 250cc barrells,heads,pistons,carb and airbox and bolt them on instead ? or is there anything going on in the bottom end i have to address ? any help is appreciated muchly as always. thanks .

Hi all, I'm in the middle of respraying my bike. I'm doing it myself It seems to be coming along well. I have sprayed it a nice royal blue but i have not put any lacquer on yet, i would like to put some nice silver stripes down the middle of the tank, fenders etc. It would be great if anyone could give me some advice or tips from your own DIY experiences before i start it myself. Hi all, I have a query and hope someone can help me. In Jan I bought an XVS650 Classic and it came with a set of leather saddlebags and chrome side mounts. I decided to remove the bags (simple enough) but am not sure how to remove the chrome mounts. For a start the bolts are stuck fast so before I start to force these off, I want to understand how it fits together. As far as I can see there is a chrome strip running from below the seat back across the rear fender which looks like is standard on the classic. Onto this a sisy bar has been bolted on and onto the strip holding the sissy bar on is two bolts holding the luggage mounts on. From what I can see though, the bolt…

i really wanna customize my 250 dragstar, but because there so rare in the UK im finding trouble finding custom parts tht will fit. i wana make it look tottally different, new wheels,fenders,triple trees with a slightly extended rake, possibly the tank...... will parts from any other yamaha fit my bike? like any viragos or other dragstars? note:if anyone has any tips or advice they can give me it would be very much appriciated lol just want my dragstar to look the nuts

highway hawk pipes with a gasket end diameter of (rear pipe) 38mm and (front pipe) 45mm....whatare they?!

Hi was thinking of removing rear shocks and replace them with metal bars to make my bike a hardtail, seen some pics online of it done... has anyone done this and did u encounter any problems ? Cheers

I have a 2009 XVS1100 and have a problem with my keys! The 1st key travelled some 30,000K around Australia before the shaft of the key just snapped in half! The dealer replaced this key under warranty and I managed 3000K before there were cracks in the shaft. The 2nd spare key which came with the bike has done 250k and is showing a distinct 'banana bend'. The dealer is very non plussed as they have never seen this before. The keys have never had rough treatment (as in being left in the bottom of my bag etc). After every ride it is hung on a peg in my room. There are no other keys on the key ring. Does anyone here have any ideas please?

Can anyone tell me what size the diameter of the bars on my 650cc Drag Star Classic 2007 are please as I want to fit heated grips, thanks.
