My problem is that I can not find the jet needle and the needle jet for the BDS34Mikuni carbs. The yamaha part #s are 22u-14904j-02-00 and 22u-1490j-04-00. This is a discontinued part but was hoping that some one knows of a sourse. Thanks for your help.

Hello again , Im still picking at the bike here , and just finished painting the down tubes. I'd like to know the torque specs for the front wheel? There is one 7/8 Nut on one side where the pin goes through , and two 9/16 nuts on the opposite side. Should i use locktight? '79 xs400 right on , thanks.

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a '78 DT125 (Manufactured 5-77) I found one on google, but the wiring doesn't match my bike. I'm just finishing up a 12-Volt Conversion on my DT125 (easier to find parts, can use the battery in my ATVs when i'm not running the bike) and the Voltage Regulator has me confused. On the Diagram i found it shows 1 Wire (color not listed) from the Magneto going into the Regulator and a Red Wire going out to the Positive on the Battery. My bike has a Yellow wire going into the Regulator and a Black Wire connecting the Regulator to the Negative going to the Battery (connected at a Junction joining 2 ground wires together before they conne…

Hey As written in the topic description, my XS400 looses enginepower after having driven around 110-120 km/h (around 75mp/h) for 20-30 seconds. The machine has fine power and runs great until it has run for 30 seconds, then I need to lower the speed of the bike because it looses all it's power. It feels like the bike isn't igniting in every rpm and therefore loosing power, just a thought, don't know if it's possible After having let go of the gas and the speed drops til like 80-90 km/h it runs fine again. Any ideas? Would be kind of useful to be able to run those speeds on the highway

I have an intro thread posted in the intro section where I listed all the details on this thing, but the second previous owner had built this bike for vintage racing, and said the front forks were from a yz250. I have been trying to figure out what year / model they are from because the oil seals in them are leaking. I've been going through the diagrams on bike bandit and haven't found similar looking ones. Anyone have any ideas? The frame is a '76 MX175 I believe. The other fork is identical on the bottom. Thanks!

Has any one ever owned a Yamaha RS 200 1981 model, and if so what do you think of them?. I know its a twin cylinder 2 stroke engine but i havnt seen many of these around. I was thinking about buying one off a freind of mine in quite good condition with full MOT on it. Would it be considered a classic bike these days and something worth holding onto for a few years. Best Regards Paul

First bike, First problem, first post! just picked up a 76 xs360 about a week or two ago, it ran fine, the throttle was a little sticky, so i got new bars for it and when i installed the new bars i lubricated the throttle a bit, the throttle turns very freely now as opposed to how sticky it was before. Now when i turn the bike on it revs up to about 7-8000 rpms. I've tried to do some research on high idle issues, and ive read people saying that the bike running very lean and to adjust the screws, but im not sure if thats the problem because the bike ran fine before i removed the throttle. i know the cable is not binding as i made sure to route it so that it is runnin…
