i have a feeling mine is when i have 5 litres left but never too sure this has became a problem as im trying to find out how many mpg i have done.... and I'm rather confused now as if i go on my theory that its at 5 litres left i have managed to do over 120mpg which i find hard to belive really :S

dont know if anyone knows how to pressurise the front brake. basically some numb nuts over tightened the fixing on my front caliper and threaded the pin so ive since had it helicoiled to save cash on buying a new caliper. so far ive refitted the caliper and the hose to the correct torques that i found in my haynes manual. ive bled the hose and and made sure theres no air in the system. i was told to put a clear pipe on the nipple so you can see the air which has been done. ive then closed the nipple and pumped the brake for ages re-opened and closed the nipple and pumped again. i cant find any leaks anywhere but i just cant get it pressurise... HELP ME!

hey guys, I have an old DT250 that i just got running smoothly today, runs good, starts on the first/second kick, it has been sitting for 20 years..I put about 4-5 ounces of oil into the gas tank just to make sure its lubing, good news is the auto-lube works. But it smokes like crazy, is this just because of the oil in the gas tank or is it just from sitting 20 years and needs to burn off all the crap? I was thinking the mix is set to high on the auto-lube system? any ideas?

So I just picked up a 74 dt250 in very decent condition. It runs, goes through the gears, brakes etc, and is just a bit faded on the gas tank and front and rear fenders. IT does not have a title and I got it for $300 at an action. I wanted it to basically ride back and forth to work (10 miles round trip) and ride around on the fire trails here in Northern AZ; nothing extreme but I will require it to climb hills. Needs new tires, carb work (I think), and basic oil and fluid changes to get it running well. I rode it back from the action, and every 10 mins or so the bike would cut out. hi, i just got my tw 125 and was sorely dissapointed when it only did 50mph lol so im on a mission to help my 125 be a real 125 or at least do what its capable of lol firstly iridium spark plug? good idea? or stick to standard ngk dr8ea... i want to know if you can do anything with the tw exhaust? can i remove the baffle? i want to add a filter to the crank case breather and a k and n style cone filter to the carb... will i need to rejet or will get away with just raising the needle up one notch? i dont want or expext 100mph!!! LOL. i would just like it to go 60 easily and not loose all its power on the slightest hill... after all this is a 125 and can…

Hi Guys I’ve posted a couple of times here regarding my 1980 DT 175MX which I’ve converted down to a 125 by swapping the barrel, head and piston. Hopefully you can help me with this one! After running the 125 engine for a few miles I decided that the honing I had done hadn’t been enough and it sounded like I had a bit of piston slap so I decided it needed re-boring and a new piston. Job done and I picked it up yesterday. At home I looked at the piston and realised it was different from the original. Just bought my son an old yz 125 . The clutch case has a hole in it from where the kick starter rubbed against it . I am wondering if someone can verify which engine has a vin that begins with 1W2 . Also while I'm at it , I was wondering on someone elses opinion on the problem that made me find this hole to begin with . The bike started great & ran well for a bit then calfed out on me . When I leaned it hard to the clutch side I noticed the oil leaking out . Could it be that the stator ran dry & the bike actually lost power due to the stator not charging due to lack of oil ? So I finally got my DT to start up (after spraying a little ether in the intake), but it's idling at full throttle. It is dripping gas when I turn the gas on so I'm thinking my float is not set correctly in the carb. My question is would incorrect float set cause both fuel spillage (from the little nipple on the back side of the carb) and running full throttle at idle? I'm also wondering if the needle in the carb is not closing the jet where the fuel comes into the carb..

Ive got a floppy gear lever and am really struggling to find gears ! The bike was run low on transmission oil and now is a nightmare to ride. its not the lever itself on the shaft thats tight and ok, its the shaft itself with loads of play. H E L P M E ! Thanks 2stroke ray

Hi I have a yamaha dt125r 1992 plate the wiring loom looks so dodgy And the engine looks newer than the bike. Engine code starts with 4bl Can anyone tell me what year the engine is Also does anyone know where I could buy a new wiring loom or at least good condtion old parts. Id keep the wiring loom as it is but the igntion doesnt work and it dosn't have brakelights or idicators. Should i get a wiring loom to match the engine or the rest of the bike. Also the bike is not running at the momemnt and I carnt seem to tell why. i was doing some stuff to my bike today and i had the panels off.. got into the bit where the fuses are etc.. moved the cdi and noticed it had beed cut open around the top so you can remove the shell revealing the guts(circuitbaord i guess?) any ideas? has it been modded? is there a mod... help lol

Hi all, have a prob with me tdr 125..runs fine for 15-20 mins at 65mph then suddenly loses power and will not pickup even changing down through gears....after couple of mins stationery bike revs and seems ok but whe i put in 1st and lift clutch it dies again...leave for another 2 mins and im back on me way....iridium br9es plug seems ok and no overheating.....my local bike repairers seem clueless !...please help! Hello everyone.... I have a 2007 WR250F that I recently acquired....and I have a concern about the stock exhaust. When the bike is started using the fuel enrichner lever, during the warmup, the exhaust header gets RED HOT!!!.....Is this normal????? Once the bike is warmed up enough to ride the pipe cools down and looks normal, but I can't ride it until it warms up enough to stay running which takes about 4-5 minutes of really high idling with the enrichner on. I'm concerned there may be something wrong with the bike...and I don't want to damage the motor due to the high temperatures.......I've had several dirt bikes and quads and have never seen this.....Any info or h…
