im thinking of getting a 30mm pwk flat slide carb, just wondering what improvement would it have?

Hi, I just would like to know what the best way to bleed the brakes would be as i have got new break pads and havnt made any difference after I had bleeded them so which is the best way to bleed ?? Many Thanks, Paul

Im really stuck as to what 125 i can get, my friends cousin has a DT for sale thats in very good condition for £1000 and ive read reviews on them and they seem very good, im interested as to what speed they can go, and how good they are for off road use and there pulling power. I have also seen a KMX 125 for sale for about £1250ish, ive read reviews on this bike aswell and they seem to be about the same. Which is more customizable and which can travel a bit nippier. My Gilera RCR 50 is incredibly slow and means im always at the back of our group and struggle up hills an insane ammount It would be nice to get a good 125 so i would really appreciate the help Thank you! ! …

Hi im james from Wakefield and im new to the site and to the DTR but iv had mine a couple of months now after doin the cbt its roughly a 2000 - 2003 model (on a q plate due to being stolen recovered) Firstly iv been reading all the threads about de-restricting the bike and i think mine has been done to a point in that it has a full DEP exhaust and snorkal removed and iv been told its been re jetted and has a new piston and rings fitted although im begining to wonder if thats true as im having some problems with it. Iv taken out the reed switch from the speedo so im now getting 60mph + (iv had 75 on the clock) wich is nice lol. The main problem is its loosing water…

Hello, I have a Yamaha DT125R of the year 2000 (http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1562742/), it´s a stock motor, but with a firebox pipe and a SPES exhaust, with carbon power reeds. It´s has a mikuni carb VM26SS (http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/2152/cimg1063tr8.jpg), the main jet is 210, Air jet 0.7, Jet needle 5J25, pilot jet 22.5, power jet 60. I don´t understand must about carb, and i want to have more power, a friend of my tells me to change the main jet to 240, and the other jet´s remains the same? this is not going to affect the misture? I will have more performance with the 240? i appreciate some help.... Thanks

I have a 1992 yz80 and need to know what the model # is. An example is yz80k or yz80L_N. I looked on the bike but cannot find and ID tag with any numbers like this. Any help would be great.

Hey there I just received a yz490 from my cuz for free and to say it needs a little work is an understatement. First off i need help identifying what year it is so i can start getting it back together and buying parts for it. I want to do a full on resto onto it, also any info on getting parts since they are hard to find for some reason. Hopefully be able to get pics up soon. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey guys i need a little help trying to set the timing on the enduro. I bought a factory service manual and im getting a little confused on how to do it. Is there anyway to set the points without the point checker? Thanks in advance, Justin

on my dt i bought some smaller indicators and just connected them to the wires i disconnected the old indicators from but now what ever way you switch the indicators they all come on. please help.

i have a little dtr 125 (witch on the subject of hot wireing ... yes i do legaly own) ... how ever it was stolen a while back in febuary and the ignition was forced (with no success) then the wires going into the ignition were cut (guess to hotwire) but novice yobs should stick to push bikes as they where unsucessfull how ever once the bike had been recoverd i did set out to replace the whole ignition system but over time ive decided to hotwire the bike myself and use it for work (being secure at home and secure in work) hotwiring wouldnt be a problem so long story short ... wot wires do i connect to hotwire the bike ??? i understand if i get no responce to this top…

Recently re sprayed my exhuast from my 2005 dt125re. Was in a rush putting it back together as i needed it for some studio filming i had planned the following morning. Missed the final mounting bolt on the silencer somehow ( I know, WTF, but i did =/). Passed my driving test a week later so havn't used the bike much since. Was nice weather today so took her out for a ride. At around 60mph the bike suddenly got very loud. Looking in my mirror i can see my silencer bouncing around the road behind me. Snapped off just at the Cylindrical part of the silencer! Silly mistake to make! Anyone got a silencer from this model they are looking to sell lol!?!?!? Was thinki…

heya Horse pulled my bike over yesterday and now its about 1/4" pulling to the right, whats the best way of straightening my front wheel up again. i had a quick look and there is a massive bolt type thing in the middle do i just loosen that up and get them straight and tighten up again? Hi guys Can anyone shed some light on model information please? I've just bought a DT175 mx - it has frame and engine prefix 2KR. I can't remember from my youth the differences between the various models. This bike has the silver box section swinging arm. Did that come before or after the model with the black tubular swinging arm? Cheers Lee

hi everyone , i must say im new to this and new to my dtr , i bought this bike last week as a fixer upper dirt bike , but i have noticed that the bike had a mikuni tm series carb on it , quite a big one at that , but my problem is that was not sitting right in the place where it goes in the engine and the air box pipe had been doctored to hell with silicone tubing , lol , so i decided to sell that carb on ebay and buy a original one , but what i wanted to know is mine is suppose to be a 99-2000 model but would a carb from a 2006 dt or a 2007 dtr fit my engine ?? please help me as this is driving me bonkers and cant fins advice anywhere

Starts up first kick and runs exc. When using electric starter it takes a while...usually starts after a big backfire?? Only when I electric start it. Someone said starter brushes? If so...where are they located? Easy fix for mechanical guy but not mechanic?? Thanks
