Hi. I am getting my 1976 DT 175 back on the road. All is well (believe it or not) except for: 1. Flasher relay - the thing lights up the flashers but will not flash (on and off) - even when revved. Any one know where I can get a replacement? It has three connections; brown, white & brown and black. 2. Petrol tap inner filter if fcuked - replacement needed. 3. (The big one) the petrol tank needs repair - best options? (other than a replacement tank which are as rare as rocking horse shot). If anyone can help, be much appreciated. If I can get these sorted I may even put it up for sale. Thanks. Pkay

Please help. Ive got a 2004 dt 125 x and have had problems with the starter. What happens is when i press the start switch either it starts or you just hear the starter turning. sometimes its grinding as if the cogs aren't lined up properley. Have fitted new starter motor and same thing happens. Any suggestion will be greatfully recieved. Many thanks Dave.

Howdy, I need a longer side stand for my xs400 tracker and was wondering what the length of a DT or XT would be? (measured from pivot to bottom) mine is 200mm and needs to be 250-260mm in length. not sure of the shape, but mine's like a fork at the pivot with a thread to take the pivot bolt! cheers drewps

Hi there,i have recently bought a DT175mx,i belive its late seventies as it has the tubular type swing arm.The bike has been used as a field bike,so has no lights etc,its also come with no reg number or log book.Is there anyway i can find out the reg number or a way of registering it with DVLA.Thanks,Danny

I'm new to this whole vintage bike thing so go easy on me haha! I've got an old 175 Enduro, which by looking online at all the parts look-up sites, says its a DT175A. Anyways, the stator is producing almost 13 volts when revved above idle, and its blowing all my lights. I'm wondering what the fix is for this, if any...? Its a 6 volt system. Everything works well when a battery charger is connected to produce 6 volts to the battery terminals. The headlight is on the stator and will not work unless its running, which is unfortunate since its a sealed beam light, and sorta expensive to keep blowing up. Any insight would be great, its pretty frustrating.

First of all I want to say Hi to everyone. I am new to the site but, not new to riding. I just bought a 93 YZ 250 and have a few questions for the guys that know. I need an inner clutch basket and the clutch basket itself. Does anyone know what years will work. I am not looking to spend alot of money on a Hinson, Barrnett or new stock. I have a 1974 DT175 that I just got running. It's been converted to a dirtbike (no battery or lights), and I'd like to just put a headlight on it. Which wire coming from the magneto should I connect to and how do I control the voltage so it wont dim with different engine speeds? Thanks!

Trying to start this basket case after rebuilding carb and putting back together. Will hit a time or two with help from starter fluid but then plugs immediately are oil fouled, with excess oil leaking from exhaust port. I'm guessing the wd40 and oil i put in the plug hole to free the rings may be the problem? The bike had been sitting for 15 years. I got 110# compression (cold), spark, and fuel. If there is excess oil in the bottom end, how to get it out? Or any other suggestions? TIA

I have a yamaha xt125r do u know anyway to get more power out of it? On my kart i got a carb that is less restrictive (mikuni 32mm) wuld one of them work? or jus a bigger pipe? as that gave ma kart more top end speed:P

The starter motor is making the nasty clicking noise and not turning the engine at all, also when the start button is pushed after maybe 1-2 seconds of clicking the neutral and 2-stroke warning lights go out and the clicking stops. Any help ideas to what is causing this would be really appreciated Vez.
