Hello People, I finally bought a brand new Yamaha R6, and I was curiuos - how does one remove the ugly white sticker residue from warning labels? Such a beautiful machine does not need such a thing. Best Regards, André

Ok...I am quite flustered here...I have a manual...but I dont know for sure where to find the oil drain plug on this 88 FZ600... I have found a plug on either side of the engine...it takes an allen-type wrench....some oil came out....but....maybe just a cup....there must be more in there....I can see some of it grinning at me thru that window....I am also worried that the crazy canuck who owned it before may have run it with low oil..... any help...pics...descriptions would be great thanks fellows Ciao

I'm currently using a tail pack & Yamaha top box for luggage. Thinking about getting some saddlebags but fear they might get a bit burnt being next to the exhausts. Anyone had problems using them ?

I just bought a 2006 Blue FZ6. I pick it up this Saturday. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type soft or hard bags to use. Also what about the chin fairing...is it worth it? Thanks Travis

I just bought an FZR 600. The guy I bought it from modified the body for racing and it has no turn signals. Today I went and bought flush mount turn signals that will mount just fine on the body, and I wanted to try and wire them myself. They are two lead wires not three lead (I think i said that right, they are not the kind that stay on all the time if that helps). I know that i have to wire them each to the left/right toggle switch, and then wire the toggle switch to the signal flasher, that to the 10amp fuse, etc. I don't have the bike in front of me right now, but what potential problems am I looking at for instance if the signal flasher was taken off, or if none…

I haqve just bought a 250 zeal {1996}- isthat the same as a FZR - I got it for my stepdaughter because it is light and sporty but I love to ride it myself. I enjoy doing my own maintenance so am trying to locate a workshop manual - there was not even a handbook with it. If someone has one I would be willing to pay for the photocopying. There are only 27000 km on the clock and it is in top class order. Is it possible to purchase a half fairing for it.

hey, This newbie just bought an '82 750 seca and am changing the oil and filter on it. Does the filter drop into the bottom of the housing with the flat rubber washer fashing front? (the old filter had front stamped on it, the new doesn't) This puts the spring on the motor side of the filter. Any help would be appreciated, I was too busy with twisting the hot filter housing in between the even hotter muffler pipes. Also, where is the middle gear drain plug, under the muffler skid plate? Thanks Joel

What the heck is the "heritage special"? How does it differ from the XS400, the XS400 SE, or the XS400 Special? I'm looking at a 1982, and I'm wondering what its specs are (is it DOHC? dual front discs?). Thanks, Eric

I am looking for a photo of an MT-01, which has been supplied with the 'free' Akrapovic exhausts & Fly screen so I can see what it looks like and whether or not you HAVE to buy extra bits just to fit them. Will they fit straight into the standard MT-01 heat shields or do I have to buy the Carbon Muffler Heat Shield at another £161?! I'm not buying a single seat, so I take it Yamaha are providing the muffler rings as well so the pipes can be used with the standard seat? Not even my dealer is able to answer these questions as I'm the first person to buy one of these machines from him!

I just bought a 2002 vstar 650 custom. I'm looking to get a sissybar so my wife feels a little more secure on it. But i was wondering if 1100 parts will fit on a 650? I know the backrest will, but I'm not sure about the mounting brackets. Someone told me most accesories should fit because 1100 and 650 have about the same body just a different motor. Anyhow, any help is appreciated.

Hello out there! I have just finished stripping the forks down on my Genesis and found the chrome to be slightly pitted, If I fit new seals they will only last for a couple of months before leaking again. Can anyone recommend a good machine shop to grind, plate and refinish the tubes, I don't really want to fit pattern parts and an original parts purchase could possibly end in a domestic!! Thanks.

Hi all, I'm 24 and I´m looking to buy my first bike. The list has shortened and the last options are the Yam Fazer and the Honda Hornet. Same price, though the half fair seem very sedductive. All the reviews are complaining about the midrange gap in the charts... How would that annoy me as a begginer? Could I learn to live with it? Even if I get a test ride I don't think I'm able yet to make a comparisson due to my lack of experience... My riding would by mostly in the city (Bucharest - Romania, quite a crowded one) and short trips of 200 - 400km. Has anyone *toured* with this bike? Thanks & Cheers

mate has just bought a fzr600r race bike with a rod poking through the crank case .... not very nice, when we are replacing the engine can a thundercat engine be bolted straight in (physically they are identical) but it's the wiring loom and carbs exhaust etc..... i dont see there being much of a problem but any helpl would be appreciated. p.s. the broke engine has a tuned head, although i haven't lifted the head yet to see where the piston is burried thanks Crow

Hello i'm new hear any fairly new to biking. Its come time to replace the tyres on my thundercat and i was wondering should i go for a sports/touring tyre or a straight sports tyres. I do a fair few miles as i use my bike to commute too and as i've only been riding for a year i know i'm not exactly going to be pushing the limits of my tyres but would someone with more experience be able to reassure me that sports/touring tyres will have more than enough grip, or should i go for an outright sports tyre? Many thanks Mark

Im looking for a aftermarket exhaust for my 2005 FZ6S. I was hoping to hear from someone who has changed the factory to two seperate cans & what effect it has on the bike??? Also what brands do you recommend? My local Yamaha dealer tells me that Leo Vinci exhausts are the way to go because they are supplied in a kit form so that factory warranty is not effected....... Also I'm looking for a tinted front screen(As Yamaha dont do a genuine one!) The screens are hard to get hold of in Aust so any help would be great...... Lastly..............The Yamaha FZ6S is arguably the best "Bang for your buck" bike on the market today!!!! I still cant get over how versitile the…
