i was wondering if anybody on here knows where i could get a new seat for my 81 sr125 at a decent price? not the stock king/queen one, id prefer something flatter like a triumph t100, or maybe even a good priced cafe racer one, just something that will fit on the stock frame? any help appreciated

Hi all. Yes, I know I ought to get myself a manual but... when I put the bike in the centre stand on level ground, the rear wheel is still touching the floor. The suspensions struts look like they can be adjusted to shorten the length. Is this just a question of turning the adjuster, or is there something else I need to be aware of? I would obviously check the chain tension afterwards. The adjuster looks like it is at its lowest setting and by turning it round to the next notch it looks as though it will bring the wheel up. Sorry if this seems like a really dumb question, but after 18 years of twist and go's I've not a huge amount of experience of proper bike maintenance…

Hi All, I am in a kind of urgent situation. Rode my rxs100 to work and now realized that the brake light and indicator has stopped working. The bike starts and runs as well the headlights. Not sure what to check. Also not sure whether it would be legal to ride home without indicators. Any help appreciated.

I need to get some sealant to join my crankcase halves (RD350). I've read online and watched on YouTube that I should use a rubber based sealant? Anyone got any recommendations? Three bond has been mentioned but this appears to be silicone based? Standard off the shelf instant gasket isn't suitable?

About a year ago my fuel tank sprung some leaks. since then I bought a new tank off e,bay for a fraction of the price, but I have repaired the original tank externally. What i am trying to do now is internally seal the original tank. I seem to have two options, either POR 15. or Kreem. This is where I need advice, which one? When I do get the right one, how do I apply it, just pour it in and swirl it about?

Hope for some help.. i have just recently bought a dragstar 650 and i cant seem to be able to get the biting point down to a reasonable level, the biting point is almost at the very end. ive tried slackening of the cable as suggested to me but the cable becomes very loose and the play becomes ridiculous. if i tighten the cable even slightly to remove the slack i have no biting point at all.. is it possible i have the wrong cable or would it mean i need a new clutch?

Got my XVS 1100 out of the shed yesterday, charged the battery, re-fitted it, and it wont start, checked the fuel flow, that was fine, checked for a spark and nothing, checked for power to the coils and there is none, with the ignition on there should be at least 12v showing but the power to the coils is 0, it cranks over OK but wont spark, it was fine when i put it away for the winter in September I even rode it into the shed, "anyone got any ideas"??? what could have happened to it, while its sat there doing nothing, Oh and the kill switch, and stand switch work fine, if they didn't it wouldn't turn over.

Hi, I've recently bought a very tired '86 RD350 N1 with a view to restoring it. The engine didn't turn over so I've started with that first. I've stripped the engine to find that the crankshaft has a rusty big end. I've spoken to a few engineering firms in the UK and they have given me quotes of between £300 - £390 to rebuild it. The thing is, I found new cranks for sale at Yambits for the same money. Does anyone have any experience with Yambits cranks, are they OK? Apparently they are brand new, not reconditioned, but the price just seems to good (or the rebuild prices are too high ). Thanks. _________ http://rd350nrebuild.wordpress.com/

Hi, I'm part way through building an XS250 but I'm struggling to find cheap bearings. The cheapest bearings I have found are 1/3 the price i paid for the bike and they are taper roller bearings. However since it's a low budget project I'm trying to source some loose bearings but cant find them anywhere due to me not knowing what size the bearings are, so if anyone could let me know what size bearings I need that would be fantastic. Thanks, Ollie.

YBR - connect sat nav to bike Hi all, am a new rider just started riding feb I have bought a second hand ybr 125 registration 2012. Am totally hopeless in navigate, ie, I quite often lost all the time :-). Anyhow I have recently bought the tomtom rider V5 the latest in market, hoping I would get a long ride out without getting lost. I took it to the garage, the technician said is not recommend to fix the sat nav, because the bike battery is really small. I just want to check if anyone have fit their sat nav connection to bike battery?
