Hi Folks, I'm having trouble with my Xvs 125 Dragstar 2000 model. I always do my own services and repairs, but this is my first time cracking open the engine, so it's all been a nit exciting. Anyhow, it's all taken apart and filed neatly on my garage desk. I have now reached the point where I am in need of a workshop manual for details. Basically I'm changing the piston rings and need to know the timing to set up. Well that'd be the first detail I need, I'm sure there will be others, hence my search for a manual. So it'd help immensely if someone could obligingly share a workshop manual with me. Cheers

All those 2 stroke lovers out there with "wet" air filters. Do you prefer a soak and squeeze in 2 stroke oil, a spray with aerosol filter spray or something else? Thanks.

Hiya peeps Have started work on project mong and have discovered that there are 3 white coloured cables coming from the charging side of the engine going to the rectifier, however the cables have been cut and i dont know which ones fit where. as i understand it, the rectifier is a series of diodes which will only allow certain parts of the AC circuit to flow (converting the 3 phases of AC into one flat DC sinewave), so does it matter which phase goes to which diode on the rectifier?, hopefully i can get this sorted later tonight and have it running by tomorrow maybe

Alright folks On the way to college yesterday my son stopped his bike to phone his mate. Call finished, the bike would not turn over, but all lights and horn worked. I was at work so couldnt look it over. He left it for a few minutes and hey presto the bike started. Later on on the way home from Tai Kwondo he stopped at the chippy, and same issue not turning over. Same again a few minutes later it started. I went out this morning and checked all electrical connections which seemed fine and we started and stopped the bike on a number of occasion but could not replicate the fault. So the bike will start and run ok, but if stopped, seems to lose summit. I was think…

Hi All, First post so, Hi! I've been racing CB500 and various other bikes for a few years but fancied somethign a bit different so got myself a FZR400RR with a 600 thundercat engine conversion. This was all done buy a guy who has done a few of these conversions and to my knowledge has all the required mods etc, and uses all the Thundercat loom and the tank sits higher to accomodate the thundercat airbox. Right, now my problem.... Stationary the big starts and runs sweet as a nut, BUT when i put it in gear and try to ride the bike it won't rev past 6k rpm. Getting up to 6k rpm it is as smooth as anything but hit 6k and its just bogs and barbles. Logi…

G'day, I'm looking at putting my old DJP chair on my Diversion 900 and was pondering mounting positions..... would there be anyone here that can offer any insight into the attachment point positions on the Divvy frame ? I have been looking at this for a while now and it looks like I need to make up some custom brackets. Any help appreciated and taken into consideration. Cheers Neil

Got a question. When riding your bike where is the power and what kind of rpm is the engine happy to sustain uphill headwind whatever. I ask cos airhead sold me a replacement for my rotten exhaust. Top man. But im still not sure what its from and the engine (now its rebuilt) runs very different. I have monster. And i mean huge torque between 4 and 7k. To the point i dont need the first 2 gears unless i stop. The last bit of rpm is a bit of a dead duck except for short bursts as the engine gets mad hot. 7k on my dt gives an indicated 50. No idea what speed it really is and it will do it uphill into the wind whatever. Rarely need to change down. Stock gearing too. …

Hi, I am about to change the fork seals in my xvs125 but I am struggling to find any information, such as fork oil grade, quantity, torque settings etc. I can't find a workshop manual except at the pay to download sites and who knows what you will get. Can anyone recommend a link or a site where I can get the correct manual. Thanks all!!!

Hi - new to the forum so I apologise if this question has been asked before ? I am wanting to fit flat bars to my 89' 350 YPVS F2 and am wondering the best way to do it ? Will the triple clamps of a 250/350 LC fit ie same head bearing sizes and fork tube diameters ? Also on the lookout for a fuel tank for the above scratches and minor dings ok but nothing rusty please. Many thanks. Mike B.

Ok so I've googled and can't find an answer to this one! I've checked carb settings (1/2 turn out from closed). Always starts first time, no choke. If engine is hot then she won't start without the choke. I'm also noticing a flat spot in 1st quarter of throttle after I ease off, when I go to accelerate again there is a loss of power until I wind the throttle round to halfway. Any ideas anyone? Andrew
