Hello , I have an 07 dt 125 re which has an aftermarket tail tidy with led brake light which I was using along with the standard brake light. The led light would turn off when the brake was applied and the standard would light up like normal so today I decided to disconnect the led light and once I done this and turned on the ignition nothing happened. I'm not very familiar with electrics so any help is appreciated ! Robert.

Hiya, wonder if anyone can help, I have just got a 2009 YBR 125, however the electric start button is not working, when the key is on, all the lights works and it does its ignition check, but when I push the starter it does nothing at all, I receive no noise from anywhere on the bike. When the key is on the on position I am able to kick start it and it starts first time with no problems. Just want the electric start to work. Thanks for the help in advance Jack

The left side is not firing... no spark. The coil is getting but nothings coming out... thought it was the coil. Went and bought 2 matching coils from a '78 XS400 and same problem left side no spark. I looked at the points and they seem to be sparking fine. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! =D

So i need a recommendation. I was walking in the forest around my house today and i found an old what I think is 1980 Yamaha Mx, everything is there but its right seized up. There was no spark plug in it, it was back there for at least 30 years. Do you think it would be worth it to try and resurrect it? Thanks, I'm a young adult looking for a project this summer.

So I decided to slap on a new chain and sprocket 'upgrade' on the Yibber as my old one was starting to sound a bit 'agricultural'. The front sprocket was quite wibbly when I took it off, but the bolts were fully tight and the output shaft has no up/down movement so the bearings are fine. Put the new sprocket on (used the old spacer) and it wobbles a fair bit still. Made a rather tedious little video of it ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DClzEvwxQj0&feature=youtu.be Also took a photo of the bare shaft (oo-er) It's a 2011 with only 5000-odd miles on it. What ye think? Perfectly normal or potential fireball of doom? Camera GT-N7100 Focal…

Hi guys, I have a DT 175 99 model. It runs well, I have cleadned the exhaust, and air filter. Sometimes it idles high then give the throttle a flick and it drops in revs then will stall. I have squirted some fuel around where the carbi mounts to the cylinder and no change as I thought it may be sucking air. And while riding if you go through a dip at speed it will bog down as though it is flooding itself. I'm leaning towards a carbi kit and float adjustment (not a mechanic but more than capable) or just try and source a new carbi. any advice or thoughts? Cheers Mungsta

I kept getting white smoke from my bike. It would start initially ok but as soon as i apply throttle and anytime afterward i would get white smoke. It rode ok but the smoke clouds are a real worry so i have gone about taking the engine out the bike to replace head gaskets and possibly the piston. I have done everything else the manual suggested it might be without needing to take the engine out. Problem is i can't put my stand under the bike as the whole rear end will drop once i take out the bolt connecting the swingarm to the engine. to do this i need to remove the downpipe but it just wont seperate from the silencer. i have had a friend try pulling from the opposit…

I have a 56 Yamaha ybr 125 not a custom, The bike runs fine until all of a sudden it dies, it feels as though fuel is being starved as when it happens it feels as though the back brake is being tapped a few times then it conks out and if I twist the throttle nothing happens, power is still on though ie indicators and neutral light. It then will not start what so ever until I worked out that if I removed the fuel cap it fires up again. I believe it could be pressure in the tank, I have am hoping to look at it myself before forking out monies to a garage. I have put a new battery on since this has happened, also cleaned the air filter and emptied the crankcase breather.…

Ok, oh bike gurus, it's been cool and rainy all spring and into summer and frankly I haven't been riding much. But now that we finally have some sunny warm weather I want to hit the road and my XJ is being a skank. First, I can be out running like a top then it will act all starved for fuel. But when I put it on PRI she'll run OK. So today I pulled the tank and carbs and cleaned them out. Got some bits of rust and stuff out of the tank and cleaned off the filter screens for the fuel cock. Pulled the carbs mostly apart and cleaned out the primary jets and bowls. I run around the block a bit and it runs like crap. While looking it over I discover that #4 exhaust pipe isn't …

Just a quick follow up to the trouble i was having with my DTR 125, seems it was me starting it incorrectly !! strangely it starts as you RELEASE the start button. DO NOT keep it pressed down and keep revving to try start it, thats where i was going wrong. Press the start button for a few seconds and release, NO NEED to rev at all! Also just to finish, the choke is on when it is UP, the choke is off when it is DOWN. Hope this helps someone who is having the same trouble!
