I have a drip (sometimes) from the fuel overflow pipes on my TDM. It has been looked at, settings checked etc. Anyone got any ideas as I don't want to replace parts just for the hell of it. cheers Guys

To all the DT owners out there: I have a Dt 125 Re and was wondering if the 3mb cylinder and head can be fitted to the bottom end from a dtr (89-03). I realise that yes it will fit, but the 2 bikes have different cdi units so i assume the stater (generator coil) must be different? If i did fit the 3mb cylinder and head to a dtr bottom end would i have to change the wiring? Or could i simply connect it all up and go? Also I wonder if the crankshafts are the same? Will i need to use a dtre crankshaft to fit the 3mb cylinder from a dtre, or are the crankshafts identical ? anyone tell me what they use to clean there 2t engines and to keep them clean . mine really could do with painting but does it mean i have to strip everythink to do a decent job? also the dep downpipe ive left my bike sitting after my last outing for a few weeks and has got rust at the neck. my own fault feel real bad

hi folks anyone no what the main size jet is for the re model? think i might have to upjet a size bike doesnt seem to be running right since the dep pipe was put on. she goes n all..ticks over fine hits 75 not a big diffrence from when i had the stock downpipe on except the power band feels strange-she will start to scream and then gives up- now when im on my brothers dtr 2000 his is running like a charm power-band pulls like a train and his bike seems alot heavier than mine?? now before i got the dep system on i put my brothers on to try just to see (fitted ok except for 1 mount was off) and the bike took off like a rocket and went off the clock lifted in 3rd ..b…

Hello, I have an LB80 with a crankshaft that has its thread pretty much chewed up. I have an LB50 motor and I figured I swap out some of the main parts like the transmission, cylinder, piston, electrical. I am counting on the fact that the engines are pretty much the same except perhaps for those parts. Does anyone know if there are any major differences between the two engines besides the cylinders, pistons and carbs? Thank you, Jeroen

What a shit day I had today , rode into work this morning on my DTR 125 and when I got there and started to push my bike in the building I thought to myself, " Hang on there Taff, something isn't right there" and then it poped in there!! , the bloody side fairing is missing on my bike WTF!!!!! that was enough to put me in a shit mood for the day , anyway, on the way home 8 hours later I took my time and rode slow the 10 miles all the time looking for the plastic, and about half way I seen a mangled bit of plastic on the side of the rode and thought could it be!! , YES!!!! it was my plastic although it looked like a million cars had wheel spun on it and a little bit of a c…

Took the bike for bit of a run..on the way back noticed indicators not working anymore or headlight bulb. I have not done anything with wiring yet only replaced bulbs not working. Some wiring was missing when I got it so no battery wiring in place yet, no fuses and no loom to rear lights. Indicators were working when I got it so just replaced headlight bulb and neutral/2 stroke idiot bulbs. Should I replace voltage regulator/rectifier before it blows more bulbs?

Looking for kit as I have a leak from the rubber boot. Can't find one specific to my bike anyone know if any other yam models have same kit which I can use?

I want to renew the throttle twist grip on my YBR125 but how do you remove the bar end first? Thanks John

I have a Yamaha TDM 900 and find the headlight beam is not very bright has anyone else noticed this, I have just read a road test of this model and that was a minus point? and can anyone suggest a cure? Cheers Ray. Sheffield.

Hi guys, Just a quick question regarding the front sprocket, I was doing some cleaning on the bike and removed the chrome faring etc and decided to clean out the front sprocket housing. After clearing the gunk and, oddly, leaves from the housing I noticed the sprocket had only 13 teeth! Then I started wondering, I know this bike had a sprocket change before I owned it but the invoice doesn't say how many teeth the new sprocket had nor the old one. What is the starndard front sprocket teething on the XVS125 please? as I can't find the information via google. Cheers all Zedfragg

hi i dont know if im having a problem with my bike but its not even getting 60mph on a straight road but i am using a carb off a suzuki dr 125 1982 and that seems to work better than the actual yamaha carb that came with it. the carb that came with it didnt work properly it kept boging out at top end speed and pulling off and it wouldnt tick over properly either. then i bought the same carb for the bike off ebay and that one was worse than the first one that came with it. but with the suzuki carb im getting about 54mph on a straight in revs about 7500rpm and that all i get but i should be getting to 10000rpm and i dont what that is in mph? any advice on how i could make i…

Hello dear riders in this hot, sunny day. So, today I managed to cheange front fork oil seals and tomorow will go to tehnical looking (for that peace of paper for legal riding). I got few questions about my bike. So, my piston is, i think it, it is daed, by that i mean my bikes preformance is terrible - max speed ~90km/h in full throttle, no acceleration (front wheel is not go to air), and other stuff ... What piston kit should i choose? Repair ones (56mm+) or orginal (56mm), because, as i have heard repair (bigger) ones are dead sooner than orginal ones. Are repair ones and oversized cylinder are going to make my bike preformance grow? Where to buy…

Hi anyone know how to check 1/turbo working 2/the connection from the turbo yp the boost gauge, as when started the boost gauge does nothing. So is this a connection or turbo not working.

I finally got round to working on my DT175MX after it being sat for 3.5 years. Dusty and neglected, it needed some TLC! Having bought a few new parts, I set about fitting some of them onto the bike. I also began to check and clean other items that had been sat as I wanted a blast on it. I knew it hadn't seized as I had managed to kick it over a few times in the past. I took the carb off, gave it a good clean out and put it back together. Then I set about putting fresh fuel into the tank. After a lot of kicks, the number I can't remember, it fired up.
