Hi guys, after spending the last few years looking after the rug-rats,I am looking to get my beloved 535 baby back on the road. I need the baffle box welding and repaired, was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure on how much this should cost? I live in the Deeside area of North Wales and if anyone is local to me,I would welcome all recommendation's locally for help mechanically, my baby has sat for about 6 years and is on the L plate, I am out of work at the minute, so my budget is fairly limited. Any help will be gratefully received.

Hello, I'm having a problem with my 08 Yamaha YBR 125. It was stolen a while back and the steering lock was snapped, they had hotwired the bike and I don't know what else they were doing to it but now it just wouldn't start at all. Replaced - Ignition barrel ECU Battery Spark plug Problems - 1) I turn the ignition on and the lights come on all fine but the fuel pump does not prime, it did for a few days after I got the bike out of the police pound but it doesn't now. 2) The vale timings were all out so I had re-done the valve timings. 3) When trying to start the bike it seems as if it is ticking over though it still wouldn't start, an error cod…

Hello, I need a new starter relay because the old one is broken, and was wondering if i could just buy one that will fit from a car parts shop (I live in Denmark and the alternative is to pay 75 quid for an original Yamaha), the same style 4 pin relay from one of the shops costs only 3 quid. If so, should I take care of which amperage I buy or will it not really matter for my battery. Cheers

Hi, I've recently purchased a 2006 YBR125 that is low mileage but has been rather neglected. I thought fixing it up would be relatively simple but I just can't seem to get to the bottom of why it isn't happy to fire up. The problem seems to be fuel/mixture related. The only way I can get it to fire is to cover the air-inlet to the carb partially to restrict the air flow. By doing this I can get it to run but without the restriction the bike will stall under 3000 rpm. I initially thought it was something simple related to the carb but having swapped this with one from a scrappy I still have the same fault. I've really run out of ideas with how to fix this and being a few m…

Hello there. I am just starting my adventure with motorbikes and I've bought myself XVS Dragstar 125 recently. It was starting and going fine, however it doesn't start anymore. When I try to start, I press the ignition button and then try to give it some throttle. And here is the problem as the throttle doesn't react at all, but then I can smell some petrol as if it was coming out of somewhere. I've been asking around about this problem, and I've heard that the bike sucked up too much petrol from the tank or something like that?.What could this be, what am I doing wrong and any ideas how I could resolve this problem? Thanks for your help

Would appreciate someone's input please... I am in the process of building a Mk I DT125LC on a 'Y' 83 plate. I bought a rolling chassis ex EBAY and sourced an engine etc.. I could not get a DT engine, but managed to pick up an engine number 12A004*** which was identified as an RD 125 LC engine. Just been to check my parts pile and I just happened to notice that the aperture in the crankcase is blanked off. (looks like it left the factory this way) I know that the DT Mk I did not have a tacho, BUT I did own an '83 RD which did have a tacho... I'm more than confused! The clutch cover does not have the telephone dial type casting. Its a plain casting, which make…

Hi, my frame number is very worn away, so much that you can JUST see it! The bike frame has been painted alot of times an its main colour was blue but the last owner spayed parts of it silver an smaller bits with a paint brush! while the bike was still together aswell lol i was planning on having it sandblasted an powdercoated but if it gets sand blasted the numbers will go compleatly an even if its not blasted an just sprayed you wont either. So if i get it done can i just put a sticker with the frame number on over it for the mot?.. Cant have no numbers or ill get it taken off me! bikes a dtr125 1988 btw Thank you!

Hi everyone, I have a couple of problems and I'm going to do my best to describe them. As the title indiciates I have a 1974 DT125A I'm pretty sure it's the DT125A from research that I've done, and some references I've seen linked on other posts. First Issue: head light and tail light and brake light does not work while it is running. I've found the flasher relay and when made some slight adjustments on the outside - part of the assembly will spin somewhat - probably not a good sign. When it is rotated sometimes the lights will work while it's running. I suspect that the relay needs to be replaced but was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue or offer any othe…

Hi I had posted yesterday and someone recommended coming to this part of the forum.. Im having a few problems with my bike I have a 28mm dellorto vhst carb (premixed two stroke )and when I turned the fuel on then try start my bike it will start leaking my premix everywhere My throttle was a dual throttle? Controlled oil and petrol but now I dont have a oil pump theres no spring back in the throttle. So if you spin it it will stay wherever you last spined it to And now when I try start it it sounds normal. Then makes one noise like the stator motor is not spinning the flywheel or something? :S Thanks George
