    Hi, first time today, just got myself a 900 Divi and the fuel gauge not working although the red light stays on all the time, any ideas.

  2. Does anyone know the specs for upgrading or changing the Jets when the exhaust is changed ? I have a 1979 Triple and it has cut offs on it now and I don't think the jets have ever been changed but I need the specs to find out. And I am considering putting the 3 into 1 header on and will definitely need to change the jets up I believe at that point !

    Walked into the garage this morning, stink of petrol. Wet patch under the Virago (out on it yesterday 80 miles or so). Seemed to be dripping from the cover on the left side, whicj covers the fuel pump. took the cover off and fuel was dripping from what appears to be (I'm guessing) an overflow pipe from the carb on the opposite side of the motor. Put bike on centre stand, stopped dripping. Quick visual revealed nothin Swtiched on and tried to fire up, part turned over then jammed up. Took front plug out and petrol flowed from the plug port, took back plug out and nothing coming out Motor now turns over, turned it over a few times to expel fuel from front cylind…

    My YB100 wont start. When I got it it had been park in a garage since 2011 I cleaned the carb flushed the tank and it started and ran fine for about a week then decided not to start. I done a compression test and it was low so fitted new piston and rings and gaskets. The barrel looked ok. Still wouldn't start. Stripped and cleaned the carb again fitted new condenser - points - coil - plug - plug cap and done another compression test and its 100psi have a good spark. I put petrol down the plug hole and quess what ? Still wont start. Am I missing something that's staring me in the face ?

    Hello, I currently own a 1993 Yamaha dt80, it ran smoothly until a few days ago it started reving itself out of no reason. I changed the throttle cable as the old one was sturdy, also i dissasembled the carburetor and cleaned it thoroughly, but found out the main jet inside it was tampered with (probably by the guy i bought the bike from), the top of the jet was reconstructed from tin and a hole with a smaller diameter was made, the reason for this i don't know, however i polished out all of that tin but the jet seems flimsy now. My question is does anybody know what type of jet do i have to buy to replace it?? It's a Mikuni carb, doesn't have anything written on it, ex…

    Hi ya'll first off, thankyou for having me on your forum, hopefully find some good tips an tricks here... ok i've recently bought a bike xt125x that i'm doing up (or trying) but i have a ticking comeing from the engine, i thought it was the top end (unsure now) so i took the top off ajusted the valves to they max, checked the timing chain and tensioner...the timing chain and tensioner looked ok to me, but i can't be 100% sure on that...an new head gasket, new oil as some one had over filled it! but i still have this tick, its in rhythm an not a random tick... i don't want to strip the engine if its something stupid....but i don't want to ride it incase it…

    Has anybody tried the Pedmoto SG-1 exhaust for the DT yet? I phoned Adrenalin Pedstop yesterday to order the DEP, but apparantly the DEPs aren't made so well anymore, I was suggested the Pedmoto exhaust by a bloke called Chris, who designed and tested the Pedmoto exhaust a few years ago. After reading up about it, I decided to settle on it as apparantly it gives 0.08 more BHP than the DEP, its stainless steel rather than nickel plated, and to be honest, just the look of it p*sses all over the DEP. I'll post a soundcheck video later on today after it gets delivered.

  12. Hi, My stepson has a TZR 125 which has a problem with the water in the expansion tank. When riding the pressure builds up and blows the filler cap off and the engine seems to be getting hot, just over half after a 5 minute trip. When the engine is ticking over the water in the expansion tank appears to be boiling, surely thats not right. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening. Many thanks in advance. Garry

    So, not quite looking for answers yet but wanting to ask if I might be missing something off my list. Just heading out today and the bike began stuttering, (I did hear a tick tick tick sound just as I was moving off, though it may been a stone stuck in the wheel.) About 500 yards down the road the divvy stutters as though short on fuel, switched to reserve and it felt as though it was taking ages to come through. Long story short it eventually cut out. Checked the tank and there was fuel in it. Started after a couple of attempts, (actually put it back to main tank just uncase ), and headed home.     My next tank I want to do a MS Primer, Base coat and Clear coat over it. This will be my first time doing it this way as I`ve only used 2K paints so far. I was wanting to apply decals then clear coat over them. I`m having rather expensive vinyl decals made and don`t want to ruin them. So my question has anybody had experience doing this..can the paint damage the decals?..would appreciate any tips so I don`t make a mess of it?

    Hi guys my FZ engine has packed up and ive picked up another aircooled four supposedly from an FZ yesterday... Well typically its the same unit but after i fitted it to the frame it became clear that the electrical connections are different. the engine is an earlier model with different alternator etc (probably from the YX600 or something) im looking for help as to how i could make this work in my FZ - what needs to be chopped and changed so it will work - has anyone done this before??? any help is appreciated! nath

    So i want to know how can i fully derestrict my 1995 yamaha tdr 125. I was trying to ground the black/blue wire but i coudn't find it. Any help. And i also know about the ypvs but i don't know how to do it. I will be getting a new exhaust. . For now i can pull 110 km/h on a downhill.

I have 50cc Yamaha neos scooter, it not powerful enough as i need to travel to work on A roads which speed limit is minimum 40 mph. So i have purchased non runner Yamaha YBR 125 which been standing for two years. I have experience fixing bikes with carb, but I never had something with fuel injection system.
