Very upset now. It was recommended by a 2stroke expert I should use this stuff to clean the carbs. Been cleaning nicely so far..really gets the gunk out nicely....until I left it a little long in here. As you can see its gone and sealed the hole...almost looks welded shut. The tube was also blocked but a piece of wire and compressed air down there got the gunk out. But this other hole seems well sealed. Some head scratching required here. After some internet research on this stuff I see people use it to clear carbon out of engines as well. just don`t leave it in there too long..it starts bubbling immediately on contact.

Hi guys, Anyone have an idea of a rear hugger that could fit my FZR750? I can drill new holes and make treads myself, but need to know what to look for sizewise. Thanks for answers. //Stig

The ultrasonic clearer came today. I had to rush out and try it. Before: RD400 carb I didn't clean the carb with gunk - as I would normally do, I just put it in the cleaner with some ultrasonic carb fluid and water at 50 degrees for 20 minutes. After It looks very, very clean. I will try the other carb with a Gunk clean on the outside first, a slightly higher temperature and for slightly longer. Very happy with the results. Hi Guys Newbie here (mr moderator directed my queiry here!) and pretty chuffed with my new ybr 125, except I have a small issue. Well, maybe not so small! My dash board lights perdiodically cut out with the dipped beam. So together, and at the same time, they will cut out and it feels like a bad connection somewhere. Then they'll all come on again - then go out - perhaps because of a jolt from the road or I'm not sure what. Main beam however, works all the time (when i switch it on) , despite the dash being dark. Any ideas? Many Thanks, and once again hello all you lovely people. Andy ps - i'm a 1st time biker, still to do my 'proper' test so g…

Hi guys, i have problem with my dt 80 lc2. When i turn shifter to the end on neutral, it goes to 9000. When i turn shifter up and down and then i turn it to the end, enginge goes even to 11000rpm. It has really low power. Even 2t scooter can overtake me. On 1st gear yamaha goes to 8000, then stop for a moment and then it goes to 10000 and sounds like it is going to explode. V max is about 70kmh. I cleared carburetor and air filter. Compression is about 9,5. Engine doesnt have any blockades.

Can anyone help me with a question. I need to remove the gear change lever on my bike (Virago 750 1992)as the weld has broken on the lever pivot pin. Can I take it apart from the ball joint on the linkage or do I have to take it off the selector rod on the case? I managed to drop it the other night! only gently but it cracked the weld. Doh!

Good day to all of you. I am currently wondering if these two Yamaha parts are interchangable: 3LN-11610-20 (fzx250zeal, fzr250r) & 50M-11610-20 (xv250virago). They are 0.5mm O/S piston rings. As you can see they only differ in the first 3 characters which designate the model that the part was FIRST used on. I got no answer from further studying Yamaha part number theory. Please post what you think!

Can anyone explain to me the story behind the packing in a 2stroke exhaust. Removed the baffles from my RD350 today and noticed no packing left in there...only a few strands which had unwound themselves. What is its purpose, can I ride without it or must there be packing in there?

Hi just bought a 1990 vmax full power which is fitted with oil presure gauge. When she,s hot on tickover their is no reading till you rev her. I,m in bradford Yorkshire and looking for a vmax friendly mechanic to do the o ring in the oil rail job . From what I,v read they often blow causing my low presure. If not, even a source where I can buy the o ring set with the latest strenghend o ring upgrade. If I have to I will have a go myself.
