So I'm looking to put bigger wheels on my dragstar with white wall tyres, but where do I start?? I've tried searching the net for motorcycle rims but I can't seem to find a dedicated site or something sayin "this rim will fit such and such bike"?? Tyres seem easy enough to get a hold of but if I want bigger weeks I'm assuming I have to get bigger rims? (As u can tell I'm a total novice when it comes to this sort of thing)

I`ve been a bit of an idiot by deciding to shorten my XT250 chain. Grinded the pin flush with the link but after some coaxing with a hammer and sharp object, couldnt get the pin out to remove a link. After struggling with it just decided to fit the chain back on the bike, but am wondering how safe it is now.

Hey All, I have a problem with my electrics / battery. Every time I do anything near the rear lights my battery drains flat. This time I was fitting a nice little rack to the back (fits to the same bolts as the lights). Rack fitted and went to start and it was dead. It's a new Varta Gel battery and was pretty much charged (a couple of weeks back). Sods law, I went to re-charge it and my charger was nacked so ordered up a new Oxford optimiser. This has happened a few times. Any ideas? Cheers.

Hi all, I've got a YBR 125 that I bought in the end of April. I've been using it for commuting about 25 miles everyday and it has done approximately 13,000 miles now. I've started to hear a slight ticking/clicking sound when I come off the throttle. It sound like it might be the chain but I'm not sure. I have cleaned and lubed the chain a couple of times since I got it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well after my much detailed rebuild of the engine and inability to get it going it now runs, quite well actually. But then...... Clank, it stopped, didn't sound good, kickstart jammed ! Took side casing off to discover that one of the clutch basket bolts had snapped in its sleeve, sleeve and bolt detached from basket !! It happened because the pressure plate wasn't seated properly and the whole plate would have been wobbling whilst spinning, something had to give. So I need a clutch basket now, anyone got one just lying around ? Cheers.

Damn output shaft oil seal has let go.... Damn thing, oil on my boots, my waterproofs the rear wheel. bodywork, right bloody mess, pressurised gearbox feed. Only good bit is ham have conveniently made it easy to change (so it must fail pretty regular) as the seal is held in with a circlip. Just got to track a new seal down. Hopefully off the shelf item.

Well I' m scared, the rebuild is finished after holing the piston last year, whilst its been off the road I've redone the paint work, painted the frame and loads of other little jobs, but I can't avoid it no longer I'm going to have to try and start it sooner or later ! A couple of things have me concerned though, how do I get oil from the oil tank to the carb, I.e. how do I bleed the pump ? I've got clear lines so I can see if oil is making its way up but at the moment theyre bone dry and there's no way I'm going to start it with no oil getting in there, would running premix for the first start up be OK ? I know these bikes are CDI but how do I know the timing is righ…

Hi everyone, I've read the chain thread that is pinned above, and I am happy tackling it. I have a garage with light and power to do the work, and plenty of tools - I could just do with tips on what tools are needed to swap everyting over? I'll consult the Haynes fairy story manual but I'd rather hear from someone who has done the job:) I've found a place that will do the chain and sprockets set for £40 delivered whichs sounds ok Any help gratefully appreciated. Cheers Ogwen
