Hi,im looking to fit an alarm to my yammy 125 and i need to fit the wires from the alarm to certain points on the bike, ive tried tracing the cables from the ignition and indicators but i get lost in all the confusion of cable all bound together in black tape,i can see that most of the cables meet in the space next to the battery compartment and are all joined by plastic connectors,does anyone have a drawing or can they tell me which connectors are for what?, i need to connect a cable to the live side of the start button, another to the key switch, and two cables to the indicators,even if i knew the colours of the cables im looking for would be a huge help,any assistance…

Hi all, I have just bought a Virago 750 with Silver Tail (thats the make not the colour) pipes, baffles removed. The bike runs as it should with the exception on the pop pop pop. Now I know to expect "some" popping but this is pretty constant at low revs in 30 zones or when decelerating. Also at low speed/revs she can be a bit jerky like almost die, then accelerate. The carbs have been completely stripped and re-furbed. I am getting them synched at the weekend. I don't think that the carbs have been re-jetted and the standard filter is fitted. From what I have read online the mix is set at Yam factory and should not be messed with.. Is that correct? I don't …

This is the first thread that I posted on here, so I'm hoping its in the right area! I have had my wr125r for around 7 months now and up until a few weeks ago it was working fine on everyday use, now when I turn the key there is no whine from the fuel pump, it will turn over but it won't ignite. I have changed the battery in hope that the battery was the problem as it failed a drop test and I was advised to get a new one. I have put a multimeter on both the battery and the fuel pump, the battery is reading 12.48 volts and the pump power point is reading around 12.33, but when I turn the key there is still no whine. I have opened the fuel cap and turned the key to listen…

hi all had this dt a few months now and everything seems to be sweet apart from the manual power valve system doesent seem like the power value is kicking in maybe set to closed I don't know what is the best way to set these sort of power valve systems or should I buy a servo for it I am un-sure tbh.... don't know what to do or could I set it fully open or will this cause damage to the engine ????? any help would would be much appreciated many thanks gaz

Hi, got a problem with my DT125RE 2007. Took it out today running fine, went to see a family member quick and left my bike outside for 10 minutes, and now every time I go to put my bikr in gear it cuts out, if I try to start the bike it gear it won't even turn over. What could cause this?

Looking at possibilities for a TDM project - one option that's come up is a YZF750 braced swingarm - 850 isn't rising rate suspension so the linkages would be ditched & a mount would need welded on, however there isn't the space on top so would it be stupid to assume I could just flip it over so that the brace was underslung father than over ? obviously the underslung caliper would become over - is there some obvious reason that that wouldn't work ? potential problems that I can see would seem to be the run of the chain & possibly the rear brake (instead of pulling against the torque arm would be pusting it - is that an issue ? ) answers on a postcard pleas…

Hi gents Clutc on my rz/rd started to slip. Replaced the cluch plates but left the original steel plates. Now it won't even engage. In first I let go of the clutch but feels like its still in newtral. Any ideas? Thanks

This may be the first of many technical queries - I'm looking for details for Thundercat rear end width of rear wheel at hub ? width between across rear wheel from Sprocket to disc, whidth of rear swingarm at widest point (the innerface of the swingarm) any pics of rear wheel mounting calliper mounting & general set up. Hi Everyone I have Yamaha Gladiator SS125 2011 model. First year was smooth but after that some missing problem started which occurs rarely but after that the missing problem started occurring frequently. Even service center people aren't able to rectify the problem. The problem which I am facing is the bike's engines gets off automatically even riding at low speed. Kick start takes time to start the bike and self start needs 2 - 3 shots to start the bike even the battery is new and fully charged. Secondly changing the gear makes a lot of noise also, specially dropping the gear and some times gear gets stuck in between second & First. Please help to resolv…

Hi I have a 78 AG175 - these are much more like CT than the DT although has reed valve but compression is only 6:1 I am putting it back on the road for a fund raiser but the clutch either slips or grabs no in between. I have checked plates and basket all looks good. Didn't spec the springs as I don't have the know how. The nylon adjuster on the gear change side looks pretty worn but it does function. Could this be oil related I am considering giving ATF a try - any opinions welcome

So, nowadays if you want more performance you go to a shop and get a remapped CDI, powercommander, performance de-cat exhaust etc.. What are the old fashoned style tips to get the most out of an engine in your own garage? Stuff like valve lapping/polishing, Porting and Polishing.... the stuff that doesnt reley on fancy electronics and computer software. Just out of curiousity cos i have an old 125 engine that im looking to put into a go kart - and i know im not going to get 120 mph out it... thanks, Matt

i again all. always apreciate the help z get from u guys. im in a pickle now again lol. ive had the valve pinned open since i got it. i have now got a servo and setting it up has me puzzled. its got more bottom end but red lines with no boost. ive set it in the closed position after its cleaning cycle. is this right or not. im led to belive id get top and bottom end benifits but i seem to only get bottom ????? thanks in advance

evening all im hoping somebody can help me .... i bourght a 94 yzf 750 2 days ago and had nothing but hassle ...i checked the fuses and noticed one was melted ... it was the ignition fuse but it was still working ... i then started to cuz back the wiring loom as the wire looked burnt and it was all the way to the front split in the loom ... this wire then split into three ... a live into both coils and then the starter button .... i changed the wire and then realised the ht lead wasnt plugged into the cap on the spark plug so it had been running on 3 cylinders .... i screwed that back in and put the bike back together ... i then attempted to start it ... it started up and…

hi guys my stepdad's bike has been quite rich since hes had it. it has had a FULL rebuild including all gearbox bearings etc but still has this lingering issue that we cant work out. it drinks a litre of 2 stroke pretty easy (under 400 miles). My bike of the same year and setup last's around 700+ miles. He's getting alot of black oil coming out the exhaust, runs very rich through the rev range. Stock jetting, float height has been set as per manual and it has a 3MB head with 3 wire powervalve, stock front pipe with a DEP rear. the pump operates correctly via the cables and also bob's up and down. the little marks on the pulley line up nice. i dont get it, because…
