Hi all Can anyone please tell me where I can check for engine compatibility I have an old YB100 in need of a new barrel and have been offered a second hand one The person selling doesn’t know the year but he does have the engine number He lives to far away to take a gamble on a might fit Any help would be very much appreciated Tony.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Here is my situation: I have a YZF 600R standing in my garage for over 3 years. It was working fine before and had no issues. Now, it only runs on chocke and will shut down if I open the throttle or turn the chocke off. Basically, can't ride it, barely idles. From what I read, most likely problem is of course the carbs and the old gasoline. So, I want to clean the carbs. How should I clean them? I took off the gas tank and took off the air filter. I'm staring at the carbs right now, now what? Please be aware that I'm rather new to working on my bike. For instance, I forgot about the gas shut off…

IT'S ALL ELECTRONIC I BELIEVE, NOT A POINTS SYSTEM. AND I BELIEVE POSSIBLY THE PROBLEM MAY BE CAUSED BY STILL USING AN E.C.U FROM THE ORIGINAL BIKE YX600 AND IT'S NOT THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE SIMILAR ENGINE WHICH HAS GONE IN. THE FZ600. hi, i recently brought a DT125 field bike, its in a bit of a mess. and it only has 1 radiator, i went to top it up with water and it just started leaking out of a pipe faster than i could put it in, i hevent a clue where this pipe goes and cant find anywhere for it, please can someone help me with this and tell me where it goes. Hi to all Members, Ive just joined today, as I purchased myself A Dragstar Classic 650 1999 model this week For my 61 st Birthday as I have just got back into bikes after 35 years you could say Im out of touch. Question :- 1/ IS IT NORMAL FOR YAMAHA V TWINS TO HAVE A BIT OF A KNOCK WHEN FIRST STARTED . 2/ DO ALL SHAFT DRIVEN BIKES HAVE A CLUNK WHEN ENGAGING FIRST GEAR. 3/ GEARBOX WINES IS THIS AN EXPENSIVE JOB IM BEGINNING TO THINK IVE BEEN HAD, BUT SAYING THAT IT LOOKS FANTASTIC, AND GOES LIKE SH-- OFF A SHOVEL

hi i have an r6 just fitted a new under tray with led lights but my idicators flash rearly fast, what can i do to slow them down? i was told i need a resister is this true? if so wot resister should i get and were do i put it? cheers lee

Just brought a YBR 125 for my wife to learn on. Need to change the front brake pads. However I have never come across brake pads held in place without pins, appears to be spring loaded clips. Can anyone provide details on how to remove the pads Alien

Hi, newbie here ... I was wondering if anyone knows of any lowering kits for the YZF R125 ? I can just touch the floor on mine but am on tip toes and would feel happier with the bike lowered. I would be grateful for any advice on lowering. Thanks

The owners manual is not that clear on how to check the dipstick can anyone help please. The manual states "refit (the dipdtick) but do not wrench" So does that mean rest the dipstick on the top of the threads i.e. do not screw it in at all or screw it down but do not tighten it and compress the seal? I have been warned that these engines must not be overfilled and near the minimum mark is preferable to slight overfilling because they blow the extra oil into the air intake. Thanks Clive

Hey! Just wondering if you guys can give me some quick pointers. I've just bought myself a new Yamaha Aerox 50 scooter, I'm eager to tune it but to be honest with you I'm struggling a lot on knowledge. The only thing that I know is that I'm going to be buying a Leo Vinci TT exhaust and a Pollini variator. The first thing I'd like to is since the aerox is restricted in the exhaust and variator ( something the retailer told me), when I fit the components I mentioned, will this save me having to pay for the garage to derestrict it? Next thing is: what are rollers, where are they found and how easy is it to change them? and lastly, what else would you suggest doing to it…

hi all i have a DT 125 and the clutch now doesnt work the lever moves on the lh side but nothing hapens to the clutch plates wheres the adjuster nut help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or is there an adjuster wots wrong???? can any one help

please help. i have a 1991 xj600 and someone has removed the block plug for the reg /rect . it has four wires going to the reg/rect one red three white, when i removed the reg/rect it fell on the floor and i have no idea which wire goes were. the reg /rect is going to be replaced so i need to know. PLEASE HELP.

Hi All, I bought a Yamaha fazer fzs 600 on an 06 plate, this has the underseat standard exhaust system. I am looking to put on a single race can but looking at most of these they are two cans asking about £500 and I am not prepared to spend that, has anyone converted this underseat exhaust system for a cheaper price, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. hello to all just wondering if someone could offer me some advice.i own a 1996 thundercat and had it from new but due to not having time to take it out much i have a problem with old fuel blocking up the carbs thus making it run rough just wondering if someone could give me some tips on removal and balancing of carbs how difficult is this on this bike?is it something i could do?i have some knowledge of maintanance and fairly confident any help would be much appreciated many thanks in advance..
