Im quite new to the owners club ,i need help with the blinkers on my Dtr i changed the standard ones for some smaller indicaters but now my hazard warning switch dont work .when i switch it on all the lights flash once and go off and the light on the instrement panel stays on and i have to turn off the ignition and back on again before the light will go off . Has anyone else had this happen and how can i sort it please....

Hello to all, newbie here with a little problem (I hope) Have just purchased a Dragstar XVS125 and I'm having problems with the clutch. I'm new to biking so as the bike was in Manchester and I live in Stafford I fetched in on a trailer, It's my first bike and I don't fancy a ride like that straight off. All was fine with paperwork etc, numbers matched up etc etc, happy with the bike and bought it home. Problem is that when I treid to put it into gear it stalled, the guy selling it said don't pull the clutch in so hard and it's fine. He started, put it into gear and rode it down to the trailer. is it posible to paint an exhaust, the end can (and link pipe) with a paint that is suitable for intense heat? if so what type of paint is it? how much? where from? cheers david

hi everyone, my first post! anyways ive bought myself a FZR400 and want to know the basics of how to maintain it properly. the fairings are quite a mess so ive taken all of them off with the intention of restoring/customising them. with all the fairings off ive had the chance to familiarise myself with the bike as i have no motorbike technical knowledge at all!! the oil is low so im going to change it so would like to know.... what is a good oil to use and synthetic/semi-synthetic? topping up the oil im guessing u fill it to half way on the sight glass? where is a good place to get spares, second hand and new? what is a good chain lube to use? and a few…

My 1990 fz750 genesis will need a new front tyre soon. Any recommendations? Don't want a real cheapy, but running bike on a budget, so good mid-range tyre would be ideal. Not into cranked over high-speed cornering (too darn old <g>), but need something that'll be secure in the rain. Mixture of motorway cruising and country roads with long straights and 90deg bends. Hi All, I hope you can help me, i'm 27 and like in the UK, i know this forum doesn't seem to cater for scooters, but the other scooter forums i've found seemed to have 16 year old chavs trying to squeeze 80mph from their peds, they will be no help to me. I've just taken on a project for a friend which is a Scooter, a Yamaha YN50 Neos. Its on a 2002 plate, however looking online i believe most of the accurate detail (owners manuals and such like) is covered for it in the 2004 manual. I've found some dtx wheels for sale at a decent price and was thinking of fitting them to my dtr, but i was wondering if they will fit straight on or is there some work involved. Has anyone else tried this, how did they manage it and were spacers needed? Thanks a lot

HELP the ecu unit has gone (again) and my bike is no longer under warrenty!! well thats wot i think when i put the key in there is nothing no horn, no lights, no indicators, NOTHING!! has any body got any ideas? could it be summet to do with the immobliser and cud i bypass it?

Hi All Hoping a fellow Div owner can help, I have tried the google route to find the correct spec's for the handle bars but no go. I was hoping someone would measure up their's and post it. rite here we go i was going down the road over takinking wen all of a sudden the bike died.then it wouldnt start si i liftd the tank and found a pipe off the airbox and the fuel line lookd like it was being squashed. so i sortd that out and it startd stait away!now the bikes not runing rite coffing and splutering and it feels like it wunts to cutout can ay1 help plz

Hi all, my TDR has just developed a hole in the exhaust under the seat and melted a hole in the mud guard. Unluckily this also means that the seat is jammed closed. Since I'll probably have to take half the bike apart to fix the seat anyway, can anyone recommend to me a decent place to buy an exhaust for this bike? I've heard some aftermarket exhausts release more power and are cheaper due to a lack of catalytic converter. Is this true? Cause if cheaper is more powerful then happy days!! Oh, I'm in Ireland, so Irish places or websites would be best. Or indeed, anyplace that'll ship to me is good too! Thanks guys.

Hi everyone. Just got my project 1980 xs650 over to the house today. Does anyone have a picture or schematic of the spring lock mechanism on the underneath of the gas cap. Mine is broken and I'd love to see how it goes together before I order the wrong parts. Thanks.

Hello, this is my first post as I just recently bought a 1980 xs250. The fuse for the front light was blown so just to make sure the lights actually worked I temporarily put some domestic 15 amp fuse wire across the ceramic holder. The lights do work I found out but I would like to replace it with the 8 amp wire it calls for. I have searched this forum and the internet and the only place that seemed to have what I am looking for is http://www.4-motorcycles.co.uk/acatalog/Fuses___Holders.html that has a 7.5 amp fuse but there is no picture so I am not sure it will work with the ceramic holders. I have never seen fuses like these before. Does anyone have an idea where…

Hi, I have just aquired a 1998 FZR400 1WG and in the progress of doing it up, unfortunately there wasnt a handbook with it and as yet I havnt been able to aquire one, trouble is I cant figure out where the Oil drain plug is situated, any help would be grateful.

My 1988 FZ600 Has a temperamental transmission. The clutch does nothing until almost all the way out, then it is like a hair trigger engagement. Also, I can't figure out why, but after it goes into neutral, i keep pushing it down and there seems to be NO first Gear! Was The FZ600 equipped with a GP style shift Pattern? Or is there a major problem with it? Also, I don't know how many gears there is supposed to be; I have ridden it around a few times and it seems like there is only two gears, Neutral and 1 click up. I can hear it click in after one push up, but after that i don't think it goes to anything else, is there something special i have to do, like get it rolling or…
