    Hello all, I just found out that my 2007 R6 is an USA import and it was meant to ve a UK bike i was told. Anyways not that i'm that bothered. Only way i found out is, i ordered new clear indicator lenses and they were the wrong size, when i called up the company they assured me they were for a 2007 R6 unless i had the US version that came with bigger indicators. So my QUESTION is.... is there anymore differences in these bikes? or are all the parts the same? i want to buy a stubby exhaust from the UK i'm just scared there are some other differences. Thanks for your time.

    Ok, so I layed her down 2 months ago and bent the rear sub-frame. Now I starting a naked streetfighter project and want to cut off the rear sub-frame and custom fab a new solo/buell xb12 style seat. I know that building the subframe will be tricky but im more conserned about were the seat meets the tank, and if there are any seats out there(in that style) that will fit?. From what I have gathered I dont think that the buell seat will match up with the tank shape. If any one has any Ideas let me know, im having a hard time finding a seat that will fit and im trying to avoid making a whole new custom seat. Thanks!! Pics help... Any One?

    Hi all, Im really stuck at the moment with passing my bikes mot. when i have the bike running on idle with the running lights on, if i turn on my turn signal the rear lights and headlights dip to the same motion of the flashing turn signals??? i have cleaned the battery earth. i have cleaned the engine block earth. if anyone knows where there may be more earth points please let me know. or if its any other sort of electrical problem. many thanks Daniel.

    Hi There. I Would like to know how would you take a rev restrictor off a XTZ660 tenere.... As Mine bottoms out at 7.000... But seems to wont to go abit more. Any Advise and ideas would be greatfull. Here is A picture just so you know what it looks lik if you aint sure. Cheers Jase.

    Right. When i initially start him up, he idles at 1000rpm fine, but as soon as i flick into 1st and then engage the clutch after a short drive, couple of feet i mean. The idle zoooooooooooooomms up to 4000rpm Im not sure what it is, anyone experienced similar issues? any advice would be really appreciated. as i would like to fix this asap! Thanks Charly

    Im in the middle of trying to do my fork seals, ive got one fork leg done correctly i think but the second is been a get, i couldnt remove the allen bolt from the bottom of the leg as its spinning so in order i had to take off the top cap to get in to hold the other allen bolt on the other end, i havnt got it sorted yet but am gonna tackle it at the weekend, only thing when i took the cap off the spring shot across the yard with everything else attached to it lol, how do i get the spring back in and the cap on afterwards as it seems hellish tight to push down.     Hi people i was woundring if u know how to make a xt125 2005 model go faster than 67mph... i had a look at the intake and i seen a cover over it and i think that was one restriction for the bike becouse it was like sucking in no air i toke it out and it went to 60mph much faster but will not going as fast as it should .. i get to 60mph in 4th gear then when i go to 5th tehre is like no guts there just stays smooth carn't get it to screen in 5th if u know what i mean,, well thanks people ride hard

    I have a 05 R6 and I am experiencing front end shake starting around 90 mph. The handlebars seem to be shaking side to side and not up and down. I thought it could have been the front tire so I had a new tire installed and it is still shaking. On my old f4i it wouldn't shake this way at all, evn when i reached around 150 mph. Please help me out with any ideas that you can think of because i need to correct this problem asap. Thank you very much.

    i have a 1995 yamaha yzf750r, i have taken off the head to do the valve stem seals i put it back together with it timed up to the marks and i couldnt get to run so i moved the timing 180 degrees (thought i might have timed it wrong) and it run ok when cold but when i tried to ride it wouldnt run and when restarted wouldnt rev past 1500 rpm once it cooled down i restarted it and it sat and ticked over fine for half an hour or so (reved up fine) then i tried to ride and it died again then when restarted it repeated the previous symptoms what do you think the problem is ? thanks in advance

    Hi This is my first post. I'm a Triumph rider and know little about Yamahas but my wife has spotted a Fazer 600 for sale in a local bike shop. It on an 02 plate and has 15,000 miles on the clock. I looks very clean and well looked after. It is Datataggged and has a Scottoiler fitted. She has a test ride booked for tomorrow and I need to know if there is anything in particular that I need to look for. There is a load of reciepts for servicing, tyres etc. Also My wife will need it restricted to 33BHP. Does the bike take well to that?

  12. Bought the bike at a swap meet titled and safety. The mechanic must have been blind because the swingarm, chain and sprockets would not have passed safety. I haven't worked on this type of bike before so I am unfamiliar with the set up. Reading the manual it talks about a thrust bearing that is used to take up the space to get the right clearance on the swingarm and it looks like the people we bought it from has welded it to the frame. I'm not sure if this is the case or if the welds are factory. Has anyone come across this? Thanks Jay

    Hi, Having problems with my YBR Lights. Main Beam works perfectly but headlight has an intermittent fault which make the light appear to flash, checked the bulb and connections as best i can and cleaned the terminals. Doesn't happen all the time which makes it even more frustrating, local garage say they can't find any thing wrong. Anybody else had these issues and can you help resolve the problems Cheers

    I have an old battery that is completely dead, if anything it drains electric like a black hole.... anyways- I called NAPA Auto Parts yesterday, and they said that if i bought a new battery off the internet and it shipped "dry" with no electrolyte and no charge that they could get it ready to go for a small fee ($5.00). But then I was Thinking, if they can do that, why wouldn't they be able to recharge and refill my old battery? I have not talked to them yet because it was after hours yesterday when i thought of it, and today must be some kind of NAPA holiday or something... IS it worth it to buy the new one? The old one isn't physically damaged on the outside or anyth…

    hi all. i fitted a new battery about 3 weeks ago went to start bike today and dead, jump started the bike it ran but when i touched the reglator/rectifier it nearly burned my fingers ,,,, is the normal to b that hot or is it duff or could something else b causing this ? or could it b where the battery is so dead, really need help on this 1 as i wana get it back into mot soon as pos so i can ride it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, cheers

    Hi Guys me again I'm Havin chain problems with my YBR. It keeps going slack. I posted reciently about false neutrals can these be caused by slack chains? I was out tonight practicing hill starts, stalled a couple of times (real good ones) then started getting false neutrals. The bike started sounding gruffer. I checked the chain its slacker than before I left, Its almost like the stalls slackened the chain! Anyway I'm going to have a go at adjusting it, I have the manual (and no machanical experiance) but there is a nut that is baffeling me. Its the brake torque rod nut which has a pin through it.     I have been rebuilding an 1988 FZ600 ( with Mikuni Round Slide type carburettors) from the oil pan up (not literally) and have gotten to the carbs along with other persisting problems. I have yet to properly synchronize them due to the inability to buy one of the manometer things, and i haven't gotten around to loading the bulky bike in my truck and hauling it to the shop to have them do it yet. But in my limited understanding, the carbs should have a good cleaning after sitting for god knows how many years, (probably it's entire lifespan).     Hi anybody got any advice on changing fork seals on a dtr 125 ive got the forks off and drained them, got the springs out etc but im having trouble getting the allen key bolts in the bottom end of the forks to move. Is there anyway to get the seals out without having to remove these bolts or do i have to seperate the forks compleatly. Cheers Chris

    Hello everyone..wanted to say first off that this bike is really taken care of,has under 12k miles on her.N-e-ways the other day i was going to the store, once i shifted into 2nd it seems like it has trouble stayin in gear??Its only under hard accel...if i drive normal its not an issue,and 2nd gear is the only one that does it.has anyone had this problem before? What might need to be replaced? thanks
