There is enough adjustment for two clicks if you know what i mean dont know if thats going to be enough? Also the nuts with the split pins that go through the rear wheel I suppose need to be torked does anyone know what bar/nm this has to be and can I only do…

Hi all Can someone please tell me if there is a small hole through the pilot jet I have removed them from the carbs of an 89 XJ600 they all seem very solid so not sure if there is a hole or not. The bike has been standing for 5 years and although I have managed to get it started it is only firing on 2 unless I spray petrol into the air intake when the bike picks up ok. All help gratefully received Thanks Gary

Hi, I have a 2006 yamaha r6r and it has developed a big problem, it wont start. The symptoms are as follows:- When I insert the key and turn it the clocks all light up as usual but the immobiliser light keeps flashing and here is no sound as usual from the fuel pump and the coolent temperature guage reads HI. The engine turns on the starter but will not start. I am pulling my hair out as any so called help from yamaha will cost a fortune! Any ideas as to the problem would be greatly apreciated, thanks.

Hi, Yesterday went out for my first decent 'mission' just over 100 miles round trip. Everything worked fine. Today I am cleaning up my beauty, and when taking off the Chain Guard I noticed that the CHAIN seems loose, so that on a hand-rotation of the wheel it actually touches the acrylic 'shield' near the drive sprocket. Does this mean that I have to tighten the chain a wee bit? (I ermember doing something about this on the CBT, but I thinkthat was a caution about chains being too tight)

Hi i have a 2002 R6, rode it home about 40 miles with a few mates, started fine and rode well now, i try to set off and it takes a bit longer than it should to start, however gets going and is fine when i go to leave again after stopping it wont start at all, can manage to get a start with loads of throttle but needs to be kept fully open to hold a very weak idle, as soon as you wind off the throttle it dies, if you hold the throttle open fully for a little while the revs will eventually pick up and it will rev ok again. a freind advised me that it could have been the carbs require replacing - which i tried but this didn't help! also the oil light has …

hi can anyone help. Have just purchased a 2002 sr125, in order to take test and move onto a bigger bike. The bike has been a bit neglected, left in street to all weathers and not sure about maintenance. Starting is a bit of a struggle, but with carb clean out new spark plug its improved, next is the valves and chain adjustments. But the thing that is bugging me now that I have been able to ride the bike is that it seems over willing to turn left or right at slow speeds, when you turn the handle bars. I know you will think 'yeah turn the handle bars what do I expect' but the steering on this bike seems to almost want to take a dive to which ever way you turn. Could it be n…

I've been told that 2003 - 2005 headers will fit the 2006 R6R, they just need an adapter for the end can. Is this right? Any one any ideas where to get this adapter? If any one has any info on this subject I would apreciate your input. Many thanks in advance Jim

Hello. I own a Yamaha YBR125 which I have ridden since March and its possibly the best thing i've ever bought. I am very impressed with the performance, handling, and economy. It's great in towns and on twisty lanes. I am wondering if perhaps I could start running it on High Octane fuel such as BP Ultimate or any of the branded types you find at garages? I have only put standard unleaded in there until now but I wondered if it might help the smooth running of the bike and perhaps make it a tad faster? I would be interested if anyone else uses High Octane in a YBR and has noticed a difference? Sorry it's such a long post! Thanks.

Hi all, Okay, for my first post...... How long should I expect to get out of a battery on a 650 Drag? Just had to replace mine and it was suggested that the battery was just old...... I've had it about a year myself and, though it is a GS replacement battery, it's done anywhere up to 34,000 miles over the past 9 years. Just wondering how good that is? Ta, Woody.
