Hi guys i have a yamaha diversion 600 93 k reg and i would like to know if the rear shock of a xt 660 yamaha would fit i know that i would have to make some spacers up but will it fit length ways the one that i have on the bike at the moment is a hagon as i weigh in at about 21 stone i thought id change it for a stiffer shock any help and advice would be very welcome

Hi Ive got a dt125r and ive been getting coolant leaking from the expansion tank ive ive finally found out the problem Ive again drained the system and bled the system but what is happening is I checked it this morning before i went to work and the rad was full and the expansion tank was between the levels But tonight before i left work i checked again and about 3/4 of a pint had come from the rad and was in the expansion tank anyone got any ideas what the problem is Thanks Mark

Hey fellas LOVE the site I have a problem coolant is leaking out on left side of bike at the water pump or behind it. I am very familiar with working on bikes I have a shop repair manual and have removed the sprocket cover and water pump cover and, There is a rubber gasket in place just like the ones on my float bowls , it fits in a groove around the water pump. My question is has ANYBODY had this problem and was it a seal behind the water pump or do you think its the gasket itself??? Kinda lost right now because I cant really tell if its the water pump gasket because it doesnt look too bad. bike has 20,000 miles.

Hello all. Am much impressed with the forum and you all seem like a friendly bunch so was hoping some1 could help. Iv bought an FZR 600 track bike. It's a 3HE (not entirely sure what year was told '95) and is running an 18" rear wheel. Choice of rubber for this is very limited and mostly no good for the track. Does any1 know if there is a 17" wheel that will fit straight in? Am I right in thinking that the last FZR's came with a 17" rear? Any help much appreciated. Need to get onto the sticky rubber to stick it to those pesky CBR's.....! cd

hi, am looking for 1987 dt125 lc parts,namely an engine, throttle and carb, front brake caliper. have registered with breakers part finder but not having a lot of success. has anyone got said parts or a bike they are breaking or even know of someone/somewhere who may be able to help me? thanks

I have a 1988 DT200R recently bought to rebuild, after mending a broken ypvs servo cable and adding a battery , the servo was centering on switch on and working fine .... for about 10 miles. It now just spins 1 way without centering . I have had the servo circuit and pot checked by an electronics guy and he found no fault but could not check the chip. Is there any way I can check the CDi unit ? Any thoughts welcome Bob

i have to buy a new speedo sensor for my yamaha tzr50, but is there a way i can get one without using yamaha as it is expensive, also ebay i a no go as there is none cheers

Hello all. I bought my SR125 last summer as a project bike and have yet to get it running properly. To get you up to date on what' shappening here's a bit of a chronology. Last year, bought the bike, front tyre flat, drums seized up, carb stuck open, crank flooded with petrol, indicators acting out. In between, sorting out all that crap, dismantling, cleaning and reassembling the carb about a million times trying to figure out why on earth the engine wouldn't run without the throttle in all the way, then running really fast and dropping of rapidly to barely ticking over then dying. Last month, took the top end off, cleaned out the gunk, polished piston …

Hi Can any one advise on why my 650 xs special L/H carb will not deliver any fuel to the cylinder. Got good spark, good compression, just can get fuel there. Stripped carb and can not see anything wrong. thanks

I've got a 96 Thundercat with a dodgy ignition switch. seems like it only turns when it feels like it. I've had a look at the bolts holding the ignition in and they are tamper proof domed ones. Any idea how I get them off so I can replace the switch?

Well I bought my Tzr 50cc 2004 model in like April this year, Since i've had it the speedo's not working, It's electronic and constantly on 00MPH, Any thoughts?

i think thta something is wrong with YPVS. the YPVS electric engine is working but if the speed is like 6500 it stuck. when i disconnected the cables and turn engine on and gave the gas it stucked same way like it stucked with YPVS engine. i don't know what to do anymore, i have tried to do everything. whether there may be problem that i have old candle and or some electic issue ?

hi, just bought my 125 drag star off a fella and it ran fine for about 20 mile then she completly shut down, couldnt get back in touch with the fella so i do believe i have been scammed... Turned out i needed to replace the regulator/rectifier and battery as the old one was about to blow up. Now the bike appears to be firing only one cylinder she only clocks about 20 mph and constantly struggles and dies if i move into third gear. tried testing the spark plugs and the cables that hold them and even took off the tank to follow the wires back to what appears to be the ignitor. the leads and parts all function when pluged into the left hand side of the motor that fits i…

First and foremost, I'd like to point out I never did physics at school. An whereas I can tinker to get something working, the proper procedures usually aren't followed by me when it comes to electrics. Question: I have a YB100 and I believe the coil may be faulty. I set the Voltimeter to 200 (not 200k) and tested the ground and the 'live' to the negative and positive respectively. It gave me a reading of 2.4. I then put the voltimeter to 200k and tested the ground and the HT lead, and got a reading of 6.3. I then did the same but replaced the plug cap to the lead, and got a reading of 10.9. Does anyone know if this is anywhere near the correct readings? I checked hay…

I recently purchased a 1974 yamaha tx500 and am having trouble starting it. It was sitting for a while in the previous owners garage ... when i went to purchase it it fired up on the 2nd try a-okay... but i seem to be having problems with it now, 2 days later. I am just curious what it could be. The electric start seems to be working, however its not turning over, and firing up the engine. Any words of advice? thanx.

Hi to everyone new and first time here! i have just bought a XJ600 H reg 1990 very very very cheap been shut away for a long time and forgot about the problems i have are the following no spark what so ever..... the N light is on the oil light flashes as its turning over,the rev counter does not move when cranking, is there any way to check the coils? or is there a way to put power to the coils to see if its a feed wire problem to them? if its not the coil problem anything else to look at? the 4 fuses under the seat what are they for? the fuse box cover is missing ...the reason i ask is there is only voltage across 1 of them (the fuse are all ok) as th…
