    This is not a question, but a little hint to repair the side covers, I've just tried it and it works. I've just repaired some serious craks on my sidecover this way. I did put some Acetone in a glas jar, after that i did put some lego bricks there in, after they were meltet, I just put the sticky stuff in the craks and sured there was pressure on the cover, put a little extra on the backside to make it a bit more strong. I've got this advise from a friend and it works. I've just tried to use the same way to glue a broken tap on the same cover, tomorrow I will know if that worked, as good as the other repair did. And now I can say: It worked on that too. …

    hi all, just got an E plate 1wg and under the riders seat is a round multiplug with 5 pins, its currently not connected but both ends are there. Does anyone know what its for before i plug it together? dave

    Hi there, new here but already starting off with a problem bikes a 94 fzr600r 4jh model, bikes plugs were done today, all plug caps put back on in the right order, Now when bikes switched on it starts easy, idles fine, will rev to redline in neutral, when riding along putting the bike under load 4K revs+ then the bike will drop a cylinder We've tried the old plugs and playing with the ht leads to no avail. At the same time it was ran slightly low on fuel, so that may also be possible to counter in, but im thinking its maybe more to do with coils/ht leads knackered? Cheers

    Hi All, i'm just about to take the carb off my yb100 to check float settings and make sure its clean, i'm still having problems getting over 45 mph out of it, my question is how do i know if the floats are set right, i have a spare carb with a broken bowl but i cant see any marks to tell me where the fuel line is if there is one, a local bike mechanic told me to bend the tab till the petrlo was half way up the chevrons ? there are no marks at all in the carb bowl. cheers alec

    hiya guys just realised i should of posted here lol anyway my dtr has just started leaking 2 stroke oil.... its leaking heavily out of 1 of the overflow or breather pipes coming out of the engine.... i really dont know why its doing this as i have not over filled the 2 stroke tank at all..... when i start the bike and get it warm it just starts flooding out of this pipe..... please can some 1 help me..... thanx guys......

    Please could anyone shed a light on this for me when riding my bike changing from 1st to 2nd some times it wont go straight threw neutral it will drop in. I have to let the travel in the peg go to where it sits normally and then lift it again to gain second. it feels like a little of resistance. any suggestions would be great

    Pardon my lack of technical language- I've recently acquired a 1980 XS400G and all I was planning on doing to get it running was clean the carbs and put new chain and sprockets on it... however, as I was cleaning the drive rotor I noticed that the pin that the clutch cable was connected to shows a little bit of wear. I tried rotating it around and it rotates freely, but it doesn't push in any further. It will slide out easily as well, but as I started to pull it out an inch I realized this was probably a pretty bad idea. My question here is, how is this pin supposed to control the clutch? Is it supposed to slide in? If I pull it out am I going to drop something into the…

    after testing a yzf r125 at my local dealership i noticed that i was on the balls of my feet as opposed to flat footed,this was never a problem on bikes in the past but ive heard that the new yammy is a bit unforgiving to anyone under 5ft7 (im actually 5ft7) i understand everyones inside leg span is different and im about an inch i reckon from flat footed...so my question is this.is it possible to get a lowering kit for the yammy yzfr125 and if so has anyone had any experience with them,ive also seen online that you can adjust seats (cut foam away etc) and wonder if this is a good option,or an efficient one?? edit : ive seen a lowering kit for 99.99 from cmc so i…

    Hey all. Just bought the bike. Frame has 40,000 miles on it but motor has 10k. I have put 1,000 miles on without incident but yesterday I rode it around, to work and such, then at night left to go somewhere and it wouldn't rev past 5K or so. the headlight is flickering and i had to turn the key a few times to even get the lights to come on. It runs like normal I'd say below 5k rpm though. Is this a stator or rectifier problem? I have a spare stator . . .

  13. I'd like to know the intake and exhaust valve clearances if someone has them handy for a 78 xs 400. Also I can't tell what TDC is for both cylinders, because when I take off the points cap at the top of the left cylinder there is a mark on the thing that spins and the thing that doesnt next to it and when I line them up I dont know which cylinder is at TDC, and don't I need to put each one at TDC indivigually? Not sure how any help appriciated.

    Hey, does anyone know what kind of replacement headlight will fit into the 83 xs400 secca (rk, or dohc). I saw a picture on the internet of a dual headlight that i thought looked great apposed to the ugly dated square stock one. Or maybe even a round xs400 maxim will fit? this is the dual one i was talking about this is the stock thanks.

    Hi! I have a yamaha DT 125 year: 1999 And the top speed is 90km/h And no more... When i got to 90 - it feels like its brake'ing little bit~~ I have a 6 gears. Maybe there is some speed limiters on that bike ? Im sick and tired to go on 90... Maybe someone can help me ? Sorry for my English... Thanks

    Hello, I'm trying to rebuild my Yamaha and with that encountered some problems concerning the elektra. Unfortnatley I own the DT125 with electric starter. This makes the wiring bit more complicated. The previous owner has put al his creativity in it creating a spaghetti which results in a non running engine... My Yamaha YamahaDT125 The starter / generator StarterGenerator Can anybody help me with getting the wiring schema for this bike?? Thanks in advance!

    i have an 1980 DT125 that i have been restoring. took the carb out and cleaned it, new fuel cock, everything de-greased but keep coming up with the same problem. i use the choke out to start it and wait till it warms up and idles at about 2k and then when i put the choke in the bike dies. i can ride the bike with the choke out and it rides fine but once i put the choke in while riding and i slow down and downshift, the bike loses power and dies. anyone have any suggestions to try. thanks.
