:wank4az:hi....i own a 92reg fzr1000 ru exup,,,which comes with the amazingly small headlights with no reflective units at all(think this is classed as the import headlight) .anyway,after taking the front fairing off,you are left with a light unit with 2 bulb holders in.the bulbs for this model are 40/55watts.which means at night you are riding blind. first question....can the headlight unit be replaced by somthing else which takes a larger bulb,thus larger wattage = i can see at night.. second question....can i just get higher wattage bulbs???80/100watts etc... the other fzr's have the big round headlights,which i think takes a standard H4 size fitting,bu…

Hi just wondering if someone may be able to help me locate a manual for a 1995 FZR600r Foxeye 4JH. I've recently bought one to do up and have managed everything else from my experience with my last one but I can't remember how to connect the fuel tank back up. It was off the bike when I brought it and can't find any diagrams or a manual anywhere. Ordered a Haynes manual from our local halfords and it was the manual for the genesis and doesn't cover my bike. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Kizzy

now, i dont want to pay near £100 on a tail tidy, however is there anyway of bastardising my regy plate hanger thing to be smaller and also put on some arrow led indicators? without having to but a tail tidy..... go one some must have an idea!!! cheers guys

hi to all yamaha owners, i have just bought a valve spring compressor to take the valves out my 1981 xs250,it just bends and i cant tighten it down anymore to get the collets out,it says it does motorcycle on the box, but can anyone give me any help please. thanks mike

I own a 1987 fz 750 with 28000 km on it the bike is all orginal but has a flat spot in the throtle that makes it really hard to ride. I have spent many hours as well as the local yamaha shop trying to fix this they are telling me that the timing is so high that it happens with all these bikes. sorry i dont buy this does any one have any info I did some reseach on this and some shops say its the choke ciruit that is to blame

hello to all the members im just wondering if anyone can help ive recentley brought a xt125x 2007 stolen recovered the tank was of and the fuel pipes from carb to tank missing, pipes from carb to manifold were missing please can anyone help with any positions of the fuel pipes many thanks deano

Hi, just joined the site yesterday, basicaly i have just purchased some new fairings for my 97/98 R reg T/Cat. However whilst taking the old ones off, which to be fair were not in the correct places and loads missing!!!n Now i have bought a full set of nuts from tasty nuts but i need some diagrams to see where all the nuts need to go, i have a fair idea for about 50/70% of them where they go, but the rest????? Can anyone help thanks

Can anyone help me find out the difference between the mounting of a luggage rack on a 1977-78 YB100 as opposed to a 1980 please? One's popped up on eBay for the former but my YB100 is the 1980 model, just wondering how difficult it'd be to adapt and fit, if at all. Many thanks.

hello everyone and a merry christmas to you all. ive not been on for a while, final year of college, and i need a bit of advice on rebuilding a rear mono-shock. i have looked up the prices and for a standard shock the price is around £200-250 and being a poor student im skint. does anybody know where i can get seals and has anyone rebuilt one themselves?? thanks in advance. cheers

Hi there, Is it possible to change the gear selector on a YBR125 Custom? Have always found it to be a bit short and too low as I have, to put it politey, big fat feet. Have just purchased a set of bike boots and this has now exaggerated the problem to the extent I have to change gear with the side of the boot as I cannot hook the boot under the selector. Are there different size selectors avaialbe that can be fitted or can I adjust the positioning of the one on the bike so it is higher to enable me to hook the end of my boot underneath it? Thanks

I see alot of posts about the deristriction of DT125's and I would like someone to clarify something up for me. Hello all,my names Andy and just joined the forum. Ive just acquired a DT175mx in need of much t.l.c. Its got matching engine and chassis numbers but no v.5/log book. Before i got it someone decided to take all the electrics off it,leaving a very tatty wiring loom in a bag which i'm sorting out Anyway,could anyone help me acquire a replacement magneto pulse sensor coil ? Ive been going through the coils with a multi meter,and it seems the pulse coil has died as there are no ohms being recorded from it !! I'm still waiting for a haines manual to be delivered, but ive found on the internet that it should be between 10-12 ohms. But mines got nothing…

Hi there I've just brought myself an fzr 400 1wg but I believe its restricted. was wondering if anyone knew how to bypass the restrictor or where I could get a replacment CDI or de restrictor unit? Started stripping the bike down so anytime soon ill post sum pics of how its going going to re-start racing next year

Had a little off on my 09 yzf r 125, fortunately very slowly so little damage done except to the indicator (broke the glass but not the bulb) and bent the gear selector. My mates gonna sort rebending the selector for me once i remove it and i have a new indicator to put on. However i have the mechanical skills of a gopher.... actually im ok at following instructions its just i need some instructions to follow. though i could probably work it out patience is a virtue and i thought id ask if anyone could point me in the direction of a guide or has a pictorial reference for me to follow. Oh if someone could recommend a few essential tools for me to own that'd be cool to. …

Hi there. My name is Sarel from South Africa and am new to the Y.O.C. I have a 2006 FZ6 Fazer and want to increase the power, tune it, make it faster My bike was bought second hand with a BMC racing air filter and a Two Brothers exhuast system. I am not aware of anything else added or changed on the bike but the local Yamaha dealers reckon it has the R6 cams it as I get 265Km/h(165mph) on the clock. What else can I do to the bike to make it stronger and handle even better? Regards
