Hi all I ride a 2001 Dragstar 125, an imported model. The speedo issue is sorted with a KPH to MPH converter. The headlight, or at least the beam was shielded with tape to go through the MOT. Does anybody have any tips to alleviate the headlight aim problem in a permanent way?

Afternoon, Can anyone give me some pointers on this. I need to change the rear light on my YBR 125, bought a new light off ebay but the connections are different not quite sure what to do. Not that great on this kind of stuff. Hopefully these pictures should help show what I am talking about. This one is the back of the old light : This one is the wires that are coming out of the back of the new one with a connector block : Finally this is the 3 wires on the bike that the light connects to, fine for the old one but i cant see how to connect the new one to it. Do I need to cut something? or need some new/different type of co…

Hi guys I have been changing the silencer & snapped the lower stud & have tried everything I can think of ( penetrating oil soak / heating around the stud with both oxy & propane /waxing / tapping to shock threads & no way will it budge with vice grips & I dont think easy outs will work I think its Bottomed ? ! There is less than centimetre of the stud sticking out so im thinking of filing it flat & drilling it out to completely then retapping, so what I would like to know is the best way to carry on like what drill size to start & what stages of sizes should I use the stud is only 5mm with a 2cm thread length with about 1cm left in the head …

My moped doesn't seem to have any power and i'm not sure why, it runs and idles fine, but then after a short few seconds when pulling away, it sounds like it's trying to go, but can't. After taking it apart, I found this part, and not sure what it is, and whether there is supposed to be anything connected to the end. It goes to another part, then the pipe down into the exhaust with nothing else going into it? (Click to enlarge) Also, the local bike shop told me to take the carb apart, and I have a picture of the carb: (Click to enlarge) How to take it apart? is there any special information / things I shouldn't do? Many Thanks, …

Got this posted over at bike chat forums, thought I'd post it up here for you guys to laugh at my attempt Thought I might do my best to document this, to help anyone else who's thinking of doing it. I've read a few guides on the net but I am completely hopeless with anything to do with making/maintenance pretty much anything mechanical. I was amazed when I managed to fit bar end mirrors and still to this day feel proud, that's how bad I am. If I can pull this off, anyone can, and I mean anyone. I bought this Scorpion stainless oval for my Bandit at this years bmf show but I came home and was very disappointed at the lack of pretty much any audible improvement …

Hi all. New to the forum. My girlfriend has just got a dragstar 125 2002 plate. Had to put a new battery on as the old one was dead. However it keeps losing its charge. Have checked the voltage across it and it goes up to 14v when the engine is running which indicates the alternator is charging it. It drops to 12V when the lights are turned on. it lasts about 2-3 days before it discharges to the point where it will not turn the starter. Seems like something is draining the battery. Anyone had this problem before or any ideas where to start? cheers stu

OK, simple question (I hope): Will an '87 FZR 1000 Genesis 18" rear wheel fit my '87 FZ 750, also with an 18" rear? It's just that bit wider, and there's a cheap one on you-know-where...

86 Radian. It was running along fine, then after some nice speed runs over a series of speed bumps(a dozen or so) it is now idling really high. Also bogs abit with throttle. It appears that I have some fine cracks on the intake boots that weren't there before. I am assuming that is the problem. Sound correct?

Hello all My wife bought a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XS400. Unfortunately, it has seen better days. I have started the restoration, however, the bike was in pieces when I got it, so, I'm slowly figuring out where everything is going. One question, where does the main harness go, after it connects to the coils. I'm trying to find out where it runs in relation to the frame/air box/battery box. Like they always say,,,,, a picture is worth a thousand words, so, if anybody has a pic of the top of the bike, with the seat off, it would help me out immensely. Thanks in advance!! James

Hi Guys, can anyone advise on the suitability of using a 2006 model genuine exhaust on my son's 2000 bike please? I think they are only compatible up to 2003, but the dealer wants to sell him a new one and he can buy almost new for a LOT less. It's fitted with a complete DEP system at the moment but it's well past it and he's missing his wheels!! Cheers, Jay.
