A mate of mine is having problems sorting out a wiring problem on a bike he is repairing. It's a Yamaha Dragstar 2005 It's the fuel pump relay. What he needs to know is what colour wires go to each terminal, because the owner who had the bike before cut the wired block off and lost it. The 4 wired block is still there (Right of pic) what he needs to know are the 6 to the left and the middle one.

Hi guys, I've just put a Malossi big bore kit on my YQ50 as well as a 22mm malossi carb, leo vince exhaust, malossi variator and clutch and Malossi foam air filter. A mechanic I spoke to said that I should get a different air filter for it, as in Australia, our dust is much finer than in Europe and that he's always seeing blocked carbs and other problems caused by European air cleaners. Do you think there is any truth in this? If so, what other filters can you recommend that will fit and won't restrict air flow too much?

Hi Everyone, Real new to this game,(just joined), looking a little advice from all you Yamaha specialists. I have recently acquired an XJ 900f, (1989) and would like to know the method of cam chain adjustment. The bike has 55k mls and I know the chain has never been adjusted because I bought off my dad. 2 Things : 1. On my YZF750R 1995/6, when taking the cap off the radiator my water level is where it should be. The coolant bottle under riders seat is empty is this normal as I thought it was an overflow bottle, or should it be a certain level. I have no manual for this bike so please any help would be useful. 2. How easy is to to take off the cover above kickstand to clean my front sprocket as I notice there is a hose attached to the cover Thanks

Hay does any one have a Yamaha FJ1100 1984 they can take a look at the 41R-71 flasher/ignition unit and send me a wiring sequence it dropped of when I was spraying with dw40 & dont know were the wires go.

Hi, I recently bought a 2002 DT125R and I have a few questions. I did the speedo derestriction as described on dtr125.net. Also removed the snorkel for that extra induction sound. I am thinking about ordering some boyesen dual stage reeds for the bike. Has someone experience with those? And when I am at it, I can cut off the square rubber piece on the inlet manifold as adviced on dtr125.net but I'm not sure this would be an improvement. Can use some advice on this to. The bike does now 95 km/h (59 miles/h) on a long straight way. I was thinking about ordering a bigger 17 tooth front sprocket. Or should I get a 18? Or will this hurt my acceleration to m…

Hi, I have an 05 plate XT125X, the headlight bulb has blown and I am having a devil of a time trying to track down what type it is to get a replacement. I have to work the next two days so don't have the time to take off the mudgaurd and headlight cowling to get at the bulb and see what it is. I know it is a 12v 35/35 w but don't have a model number to take into my nearest Halfords. Any help? Thanks in advance people!!! ;O)

Hi all since yesterday morning when i switch on the ignition i hear a clicking noise coming from the fuel pump(vicinity), two days ago i had to pass through a deep puddle after a rain downpour. Any ideas could it be the voltage regulator? regards

i bought this Yamaha YZF 750 R and it was delivered to my house, it started and ran okay, but the following day it would not start, it has plenty of fuel, and it has a weak couple of firing actions then it will not start, i can smell fuel,but with out the manual i do not know what to do next. the last bike i had was a BSA goldstar DB34 and before that a Velocette Thruxton, Triumph tiger 100 C so only knowing classic British bikes i am lost on this machine, so any help would be appreciated

Right first up my motorcycle wouldnt start this morning (cold morning) It ran excellent the day before for a good 5 hours, through all the rev ranges 100+ mph... All I got was it was ready to tick over then a bang noise from engine (I feird the worst) Took the rear paddock stand off stripped the tank off and checked hoses before attempting to start a second time. Noticed that the long pipe under the carbs have, which looks like a white crystal stuff on them, maybe ice? I'm not sure what it is but I was riding along and it starts, it wasn't so bad at first but it got so bad that I couldn't open the throttle at all. As soon as I opend up the throttle it wouldn't go but it would go if I used a tiny bit of throttle. My sisters bf thought it might have been the reeds we took them out and they were fine, put it back together started it up and it ran fine. Its been running fine for about 2 weeks and its started again but its not so bad at the minute its only happend once but was fine once I slowed down and started off agian. Does any one know what might be causing this? Its an 01 DT125R.
