anybody please help fix my maxim750 no cam shaft marking/timing

I heard years ago the 650 was sleeved down from the 1100. Is it possible to convert it to 1100?

Hi all, my front brake was never great, now I am overhauling it and I notice the rubber seals are shot. I cannot get the pistons out by pumping the brake lever as the seals are gone and I have no access to compressed air...How can I get the pistons out?

Firstly hi everyone just bought my first yammy recently but I'v been riding for about a year. Basically my YBR125 07 (fuel injected model) isnt sparking with either kickstart or button, the other symptoms are the engine warning light flashing when i try ignition and the neutral indicator light isnt lighting up when the bike is in neutral. The bike needed a new ignition barrel because it was originally stolen/recovered so thats been replaced as im 99% sure its been wired right, but before this was installed the bike was hot wired by the salvage dealer. Spark plug and main fuse seems fine, any ideas?

Hi, My son washed his aerox at the weekend and now the brake light is permenently on. I'm assuming he got water where he shouldn't but I can't seem to find the fault. The bulb is definatley ok and it's dry inside the lamp unit. Everything else works ok. Please does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Anne

hi just a quick question can u put xvs engine parts on an xv engine?? by parts i mean startor motor, valves, cam chains, pistons, piston rings, gears, heads, cylinders, carbs. will they fit?

Just wanting to be sure I'm right here. On the starter solenoid 1 terminal is for the batt and is constant "hot", 1 goes to the starter only "hot" when starting, the other 1 is the switch and is only "hot" when you push the start button when triggers the washer inside to send power to the starter. It should be the same as an automotive system I would think. Am I right or wrong? Where would you look if the smaller trigger wire has power to it all the time like the batt side only lower volts? Either way I'm pretty sure the solenoid is bad considering I can't get it to engage the starter wire

Hey guys. I just got hold of a h reg yamaha rxs 100, only 3750 miles on the clock... For free!!!! It wasnt running but after a quick carb clean, change of spark plug, fresh fuel and a bit of wd40 it nows runs and starts first kick. The only problem I have (could be a major one???) is that I cant seem to slot it into any other gears other than 1st and 2nd. Even when riding it, it just wont go. Can any body please help wth this. do you think the gear box has had it??? Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers

hello iv got a sachs roadster which uses a virago xv125 engine now the problem is it just wont start! iv put a new battery in it and air filter and its got a new exhaust. iv cleaned and replaced all the corroded electrics so their practically brand new. me plugs are fine and the carb is spotless. and there is no problem with me starter motor. when i turn the key it will just go round till the battery dies (even with choke!) i have to bump it to get it started but it starts up 1st time with the bump it runs perfectly and drives as normal i can start it up when the engine is warm but after 5 min of it not running i have to bump it to get it started again. i…

I am rebuilding a 1996 Seca II XJ600. Can anyone tell me how to route the clutch cable around the forks? I know... should have taken a picture before I removed the old one... Tell me about it... Any help would be appreciated.

can any one help me please, recently bought an fzr600 on a j reg and when i pull the front brake in the light doesnt come on, i pulled the wires off to have a look but cant remember which way they go back on as i have 4 wires in front of me and only need 2. for the switch how could i test to see whats what and if the switch is any good please

I had an oil leak from the seal that is just below the clutch actuator pin attached to the clutch cable. I pulled the pin out of the housing, took out the old seal and replaced. Now when I push the pin back in, it does not engage the clutch. What do I have to do to re-engage this pin onto the push rod? I guess its not as simple to put back as it is to pull it out. Please help!

hi there, i qm new to this forum, i just got a yamaha rd 250 dx and it has cone filters as air filters, and its very hard to get the engine running, the only thing to do to get it running is by putting my hands on the air intake and it starts???? do you guys think it about rejetting?? thanks confused.com

hey Isaac here new to this so hi everyone!! my 06 XT660R arrived on tuesday and it was briliiant! but now it wont start! there is just a buzzing noise and it says error 1 on the screen! does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it? thanks

Hiya Peeps I have an imported FZR400 EXUP & FZR600 Genesis The bikes seem to be the same colour which is like some kind of pearl or candy darkish blue paint with glitter flecks Any ideas of the paint code or where I can get the paint matched up Hope the picture helps Many Thanks

Hi all, can anyone tell me how to go about getting the headlights on my '98 fazer to work together instead of the main beam and high beam being separate lights.cheers

just a little problem thats getting anoyying, my bike doesnt like going from first to neutral when its running and not moving, its fine but a little stiff when im rolling and its also ok when the engine isnt running.is this normal or do i have a problem here because i wouldnt think its normal, thanks for any help. forgot to mention, if you get it up to second when its running and not moving it goes in ok from second
